Hi, keep seeing all the deals for 20% off subs etc… sadly I cannot partake- my entire system (6 plus units) is Gen 1 so a pointless purchase as don’t want to run on two separate systems… frustrated Sonos owner as I want one but can’t afford the system upgrade… any ideas? EBay for older model and take my chances?

Of the speakers listed in your profile only the Play;5 gen1 is incompatible with S2. Do you have many of those?
SONOS products typically retain value on the used market. You can upgrade, then sell the current unit on the used market. (effectively reducing the cost of the upgrade) Be sure to Factory Reset the used unit prior to shipping it to a new owner.
