Hello - After years of no issues, my Port suddenly stopped broadcasting music in the middle of listening to it today. Port still appears in my system. No issues with interconnectivity. Can still work for all other music channels / sources EXCEPT direct line in. I currently have a turntable plugged into it via a pre-amp. RCA’s to from the preamp’s out to the PORT’s input. However Port no longer recognizes when this turntable or any other RCA device is plugged into it. It just shows as the LINE AN source as “disconnected” in the app. Any ideas? Attempted a reset, that did not work. Support seems stumped as well. I swapped RCA cables and devices. It’s as if the input just suddenly died while I happened to be using it. Any ideas?
Please can we get a schedule for night mode. Its such an easy thing to do. It only changes the phone app! Its been asked to be added for years. Yes we can do a work around. What a faff that is. This request has been asked for for so long. Are your software engineers asleep?
I would like to integrate a pair of Yamaha DSR 115 powered loudspeakers and powered Subs into my Sonos system for my garage. I called Sonos customer support and they said the Sonos Connect AMP is what I need, but I’m pretty confident the representative is mistaking. I believe it is the Sonos Connect or Sonos Port that provides non amplified output signals. But would like to make sure it would work before I purchase either. I do understand I will need a RCA to XLR adaptor cable. Is there any advantage using the Port over the Connect? Thanks!
Do you really need 2 of the same devices for surround sound and why is that. I have 7 speakers collected over the years and all are differnt models do I really need another to use as surround sound. I was hoping to connect a Sonos bean and Era 300 together. ThanksH
Hi all,I and hoping to get some clarification on the set up of the Sonos sounds system in the living room as I am building a new house.the living room is around 10m by 7m with 3m height.there will be a TV on one of the walls. I am hoping that I could have a TV connected to Sonos amp via HDMI. Then a single Sonos Amp can be connected to 4 in ceiling speakers. It looks to me that as long as each speaker is at most 8 Ohms, it is ok.the purpose of sound system is to listen to music and watch some TV. I am not after some elaborate home theatre set up I am also hoping NOT to use any sound bar including ARC my questions are;I intend to use four Sonos in ceiling speakers , which I understand is 8ohm. Can someone confirm that it is, hence, ok to connect 4 such speakers to a single Sonos amp? In Sonos website, it looks like you can connect such speakers in parallel to the two channels. See this link .(https://support.sonos.com/en-au/article/connect-four-speakers-to-your-amp-or-connect-amp). It s
So I bought an Era 300. Love it. However I am told that playing physical atmos music media is far better than streaming it for pure quality.I would like to buy another Era 300, an Arc and a sub Will I be able to play Atmos physical media through a ‘device’ and get true atmos sound? If so what ‘device?’Sony x800m2?Something else?
Hello, everyone.I'm new to the forum, and I'm writing as I'm considering buying Sonos devices to implement multiroom at home.I have a big doubt though, I would also like to connect an old hi-fi system via Sonos PortI currently use the hi-fi system to listen to films, played on a Chromecast with Google TV connected to a projector. Now the big question, can I stream the audio of a film from the Chromecast to Sonos Port? If so could there be latency issues? Thanks in advance.
Recently bought a Move 2 as addition to my Era 300 to use together in my main living room with the option to take the Move 2 outside to flexibly broaden the area’s covered. Following 2 features are missing - any workarounds to this? - using the physical volume buttons on either device I would like to impact the other device as well (currently only 1 device impacted but they are in the same room - I want both simultaneously) - it’s possible to set individual volume levels per speaker which is nice as it allows to perfectly balance out based on position how strong each volume needs to be. However - for the automations (e.g. playing radio to wake up) this option is sadly not available. Any workarounds, fixes, things I am missing?
I have 2 era 100s laying on my desk in front of me with a sub mini.I am thinking of adding a beam gen 2 to the setup and converting the era 100s to rears.Want to mention that my room is is slightly big yet closed with not a lot of open space. My question is : in my case is the beam worth it ? will it enhance my experience a lot, mainly for listening to music and watching movies/tv series (w/o dolby atmos) ?
I have several Sonos products in the house. I have wired 2 Amps...1 connected to 4 Sonance speakers inside and 1 connected to 4 Sonance speakers outside. I have 3 other wired sound bars...2 Beams and 1 Arc.Only the Amps and each associated room appear on my Sonos app. I was able to add the 3 soundbars, but they immediately “disappeared” from the app. I’m not so worried with the soundbars being visible on the app...I only use them for use with the TV. Although, I bought a Gen 3 Sub to pair with my Arc for the beginning of a surround sound in one room. The app recognizes the Sub isn’t paired to anything, but the only option is to connect it to one of the 2 Amps, which I don’t want to do.Everything is wired, except the Sub.Since the Arc doesn’t appear on the app, I can’t connect it to the Sub. Is this only an issue because the Arc isn’t available on the app? Or is this a different issue?Update: I read some other threads about the disappearing rooms. So, I rebooted my App, and th
Is there any way to reorganize the titles by particular artists in the Sonos Library. They appear to be in a random order. I would like to edit the order - for example, studio albums in alphabetical order followed by live recordings by date.
I just purchased 2 Era 100 speakers, and it seems like the WiFi available to me isnt supported by the Sonos app. My general question is, if I am able to connect via Bluetooth only, is there enough of a drop-off in sound quality that I should get something else wifi compatable or wired? I am kind of moving around every few months, and therefore stay at a lot of hotels/resorts. It seems the hotel WiFi uses network access points unsupported by Sonos. The Era 100 can use Bluetooth, but apparently you still need to initially connect to some compatable WiFi to set up. Is it worth figuring that out anly being limited to Bluetooth use only?
Hi there,I’m new here and I’m really hoping someone can help. I have a Sonos Ray which is working perfectly as a speaker over wifi but whenever I try to connect it to my TV it fails. My TV is a Panasonic LED TV, model TX-49FX555B.I’ve used two different Optical digital cables, including the one provided (with the little plastic covers taken off) and the app keeps telling me that no signal is detected. I use an Apple TV but I’m obviously connecting directly into the TV (I’ve tried unplugging the Apple TV in case that was an issue) but the optical connection is just not working. Everything else is ok, the Ray recognises the remote (the light on the ray is working).Any advice would be greatly appreciated - I’ve been faffing around with it for ages!Thank you in advance, Tim.
Fellas, I need some advice. My living room size 13×16 is with 8ft flat ceiling. TV is Samsung curved 65 4K year 2017 with arc hdmi ( no earc) Plan to get the Arc soundbar + gen3 sub + surround. However, I still cant decide between era 100 or 300 for rears. This is my concern: the only media source is a Roku Ultra 4K. I don't have bluray players or gaming console. If I understand correctly, streaming movies have compressed Atmos data so arc hdmi has sufficient bandwith. Since I dont have other sources, will I benefit from era 300 or should i just go with 100?For music, I use Spotify premium and Apple music. Same question: when using them as surround speakers, will I benefit from era300, or just use era100?Thanks in advance!
Alright so the biggest reason I went with Sonos was the ability to control the devices remotely and being able to lock other people out of changing the music. We use the devices at my Harley dealership and this is also creating a problem. There is 1 day a week where there is not an authorized user at the dealership to control the port. Well don’t turn it off or pause it right?? Well great idea but that doesn’t seem to work either. When we come in the next day and turn the amps back on the music has to be started from the app. Well on Sundays that’s a problem. I am not on the same WIFI. Is there anyway in the setting to set it up so it doesn’t stop playing or even better they turn on at a preset time and start playing the last source? When watching the demo video I was under the impression that I could monitor and play from a remote location. Any insight would be great! Other than this issue it is great!
Once I receive my discount code, is there a time limit by which I must use it? In other words, will the discount code expire?
Hello, I just pre-ordered a pair of Era 300’s, & would like to know if the “long cable” will be available soon. Or if any of the available long cables are compatible. Since my previous setup with the One’s required one long cable, thanks.
I have 2 x Sonos Play:1 s which apparently won’t connect to Apple Airplay. I like Airplay and use it with other systems. I was advised by Sonos that if I had a Sonos device that was compatible with Airplay I could group this with the Sonos Play:1s making them Airplay compatible. I have purchased a Sonos Roam SL in order to make the Play:1 airplay compatible and have grouped the 3 devices together. The result is not was expected, while the Roam SL connects well to Airplay, the Play:1s do not, they constantly connect and disconnect when steaming music, even when they are next to each other. What can be done to resolve this?
Hi everyone, Was wondering if anyone had similar issues?I bought refurbed Arc 2 months ago and it was perfect, was very impressed with the sound.Few days ago I noticed the volume level was lower and the sound especially bass was very tiny. That’s on all sources Tv, AirPlay, Apple Music etc. The Arc volume level is much lower now compared to other grouped speakers in the house. It sounds more like TV speakers than the Arc it used to. I am not sure if it happed after one of the updates. Tried to reset but even the sound when the Arc starts is much lower now and when I did last true play the test sounds were much lower as well. I also remember at the beginning the two side firing drivers used to produce quite a lot of bass but not anymore, it’s like they are just playing ambient sound now. Any thoughts? Thank you
I have had my Sonos system for many years and have uploaded and downloaded hundreds of songs into a sonos playlist. I find that the shuffle feature rarely shuffles the list very “deeply” and tends to play the same couple of dozen songs. Is there any way to teach the algorithms to shuffle through the list more thoroughly?
I am using Spotify on my Sonos system (era 300 + one), and I am surprised that it seems to be impossible to enable Spotify autoplay (keep playing recommended songs after an album ends).I have found old closed topics about this from 2 years ago, is it still impossible ?I understand that some people hate it, I love it, it would be amazing to just be able to enable / disable it.Thanks !
I can't check out my order because always fail when I put my mobile phone number
I use several pairs of Play 1’s and this has always bothered me. The low volume is too loud. I have a pair sitting on my desk and I need background music, but the first notch is so loud I can’t speak on the phone with it in the background. Is there a way to adjust this? Thanks
Hi all I have an original playbar with the digital optical connection, and I’m hoping someone will know what I need to be able to connect it to a new sky glass tv with HDMI connections and no optical connections.
