I am importing my music library from an external hard drive. For some reason, it maxes out and I get a message to clear or delete playlists. I then realized that the system is creating an automatic imported playlist on SOME of my imported library - but not all. I think SONOS is reading the playlist tunes and double counting the songs and then it creates the limit of items i can add. One - why is this happening. I called and spoke to a SONOS rep and was given some crap about iTunes. This is not an iTunes issue. iTunes isn’t even loaded on my laptop and this is music i downloaded or burned over the years. two - can i create more than one library to see if this can be avoided? I have most of my music transferred but it caps out for what I believe is this imported playlist issue
Hi all. First post after doing a lot research putting a theater sound system together. So far I will be doing an Arc and Sub. Unfortunately, due to my recroom design I will be using the Sonos 8” in-ceiling Architecture speakers and Amp for surrounds as opposed to the Era300’s. My question is in regards to the Sonos Architecture installation manual. It states that adding an additional set of in-ceiling Architectural speakers will yield 7.1. Being an actual Sonos manual, can anyone confirm if this in fact the case and see any benefit from adding an additional set of speakers in the ceiling as described in the diagram (Fig. 3)? https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/91d-oaAeSPL.pdf#:~:text=Place%20the%20left%20and%20right%20speakers%20anywhere%20from,listening%20position%20will%20help%20maximize%20the%20stereo%20soundstage.
I recently moved and need to add more speakers to my Sonos system due to some differences between the two houses. For example, I’m used to having in-ceiling speakers in the living room, but this is not possible in the new house so I had to use in-wall speakers. I’ve attached a drawing of the main room (~800 sf including the living room, dining room, and kitchen) that includes the placement of my current components. I have a Frame TV with in-wall speakers placed low on the same wall. I was having a hard time hearing the TV when I sat in some areas of the living room so I put a Play: 1 in the corner with my Sub as marked. I was also trying to balance the sound of music, which was sounding one-sided given the placement of the in-wall speakers, throughout the room. The Play doesn’t seem to produce adequate sound for the room so I want *one* new speaker where the Play is now and don’t know the best option. I’m also considering putting a Move 2 in the area noted. I would be using the Move fo
Hi everyone, I am renovating my retirement home and hope to get a simple to use, fuss-free all in one system to watch TV, movies, listen to music. Currently, using Roon+Qobuz+QQmusic. May use Apple Music. The overall design was made based on the idea of using a full set of SONOS system to pair with a 75” TV, compromising of the following:Sonos Arc Sonos Sub G3 x 1 Sonos Era 300 (pair)Have 2 considerations in placing the era300 (position 1 in orange on two ends of the side boards and position 2 in pink at the rear of the sofa set). Illustration of layout as shown below. May place a turntable behind the sofa set on the side table to link to the Sonos system wirelessly.I am inclining more towards placing the Era300 at position 1 as i hope it will cover the dining area when listening to music. However I am unsure if this can be done well. Auditioned this set up earlier this week based on position 2 (at the authorised dealer in South East Asia). It sounded good in terms of movies, capturing

Subject kinda sums it up. I have beam gen2 + sub mini and 2 era 100’s for surround. I am loving it. I was just curious if there is a quality difference playing spotify via my apple tv spotify app or changing from tv to music on my sonos app and listen spotify via sonos app? Thanks
This hasn't been a issue in the past but ever since I upgraded my LG C2 to new OS it is not a problem. Now with Playstation 5 not even powered on, if the HDMI is plugged in for Playstation my Sonos drops for the TV. Making me have to set up tv again. I am going upload my logs and see if I can get some help.
Hi therewe have recently moved house and the new house has a Sonos connect, third party amp, 4 internal speakers, and 2 external speakers.. all hard wired to the amp.we have been kicked out of the login and have set it up new but now not all speakers are working, even though we haven’t touched anything apart from the buttons on the Sonos connect (so no cable issues). Previously the internal speakers were “one group” and external speakers were “one group”. I’ve googled so much and just cannot figure out how to fix this. can anyone provide some advice, please? thanksLisa
I have read that the Brennan B3 cd player is the “only” CD player that connects seamlessly to the Sonos era 300. Can you verify? I just bought the ERA 300 and connects to my iphone perfectly. But i would like to play my CDs wirelessly and “cast” to my new speaker. What CD players will work without all the hassles and complications i have been reading about on your forums.. yikes, spent $500 euros. Help!
Hey. I am looking to purchase speakers purely for music. I understand Five’s are the best for music but my concern is with the Five’s being at the end of their lifespan and likely getting replaced soon, would it be better to purchase the era 300’s which are future proof? I have a small living room in an apartment with an arc + sub but i want to use the speakers for music. My biggest concern is purchasing the Five’s now nearly 5 years into their run and then an era 500s release within a year.
Hi, I have a Sonos roam with a Submini and I would like to pair as rear speaker 2 Sonos Era300. It will be an overkill? Thank you.
My Sonos system won't play music because it is "Unable to play 'song' - connot connect to //[server name] because the server cannot be found." I have just updated my BT Router - I am based in the UK. Any ideas?
I’ve tried adding Rayo to my services on Sonos, to replace Planet Radio. I just get the message saying Check your network connection - if that’s ok try later (paraphrased). My network connection is fine and I can add other services.I have checked my location is Uk in my account. Also did the thing where you choose another country check for updates, change back, check for updates again, restarted, everything.
After a long day of trying to figure out why my Sonos Sub Gen3 was not connecting to my system, I eventually got on the phone with Sonos and they informed me my (very expensive) sub is not compatible with my SAX router from spectrum. So if youre like me and you are having issues connecting your sub to your system, check your router model and if you see SAX on it, they dont like each other. But Sonos is gracious enough to process a return for me so thats fine. But I am trying one more thing before I return it and I will update this thread if it does indeed work. They said the workaround is to connect it wired but unfortunately, where the sub is and where my router lives is just too far to connect that way. So I am ordering a wifi extender with an ethernet port built in. I will see if the one I get does help. It should be here in 2 days. If it doesnt work, Ill return both of them. Either way Ill let you guys know if this was a good workaround and what model ext i ordered.
Hi there. Can I connect the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Sonos Ed. turntable to a conventional, non Sonos amplifier? C
Gents I have 0 experience with Sonos Products. However a client of mine has a 4x4 audio signa processor with an external wall mounted remote that gave up the ghost. Simple system 4 inputs (cable box, cd player, Sennheiser mic pre(lapel mic) and a 3.5mm for MP3 player.I was thinking that sonos amp and 2 sonos ports could replace this archaic system without to much trouble. My Idea is that the cable box can go HDMI into the AMP and the 2 ports can handle the mic pre and cd player. Amp feeds the speakers. For MP3 i guess its apple only and air play. The question to the community will this work.
Hello guys,I'm looking to upgrade the sound setup for my TV (LG OLED 65 C3). I'm willing to spend around $1000 for this upgrade, this has landed me on either a Sonos Arc or a Sonos Beam2 with a Sonos Sub Mini and later on also get the surround. I live in small/med apartment and not sure if ARC is overkill for that room. My room is only 22m, looks like this LIVING ROOM Also not sure what combination is better if beam2 + Sub mini or Arc. What is your recommendation?Thank you!
I have a new living room where I have promised my wife that we will not have a TV…. she said nothing about a hidden projector and screen…. I have some speakers and Sonos components laying around that I can use, and I was wondering will this work to set up a 4.1 Surround system? (Thanks ChatGPT for the Diagram 🤓)
Long but narrow room 17ft x9ft my seating position is 6ft away from sound bar and TV, my sofa is up against the wall so rears would be about 7or 8 inches behind me.So my set up Will be the arc and gen 3 sub and I'm thinking of getting the era 100's as rear suround, will the sound bar drown the rears out or will I still achieve suround sound.
Hello, If all the speakers are connected in multiroom mode (TV & music), is it possible to play music on just one of them from time to time without disconnecting everything? When I watch TV, sound is played by the speakers, can I playl separately music on the one in the kitchen without disconnecting the multiform settings ? thanks for your help

Hello!I am reaching out for some advice on how to best set up my great room (Zone 1), kitchen (Zone 2), and patio (Zone 3). We are building a new house, so running more cable is no issue. I would rather set up the house now with all the wiring ran and slowly buy the Sono’s products to install, than try to fish wire once the house is finished. Also, please refer me the best possible solution (acting like money isn’t an issue even though it is lol). Attached are two different layouts that I could see us doing with the living room furniture, so please refer the best for both layouts. Lastly, the great room ceilings are 20ft tall at the peak so that makes it interesting. The vaulted ceilings end on the dotted line between the great room and the kitchen. I feel like there isn’t a good way to explain everything so sorry for the confusion...Zone 1 - Great room:I am thinking an ARC (plugged in via ethernet) and a sub for sure, but my fear is that might not be enough for how big the room actual
Hi,I’m thinking to change my current Devialet sound system for Sonos used for TV and music. I was considering Sonos Arc but it’s huge compare to my TV. Then the Beam Gen 2 but have read bad reviews especially for ATMOS.any feedback/advices ?thanks
HelloQuite often community members have questions regarding how to properly configure their 3rd party HDMI video devices (for audio) to work properly with a Sonos soundbar such as an Arc, Beam2 or Ray.The most common HDMI video devices (I see) mentioned are RoKu, Amazon Firestick and AppleTV. As I have no experience with Roku or Amazon Firestick this post will focus on AppleTV.The support for AppleTV on the Sonos website focuses on the AppleTV remote found at this link. However there are many requests in the community involving audio through a Sonos soundbar and the proper settings for AppleTV to get the best performance. Unfortunately, there are no official Sonos support articles on the subject of audio reference AppleTV and Sonos soundbars. It should also be noted that the Arc and Beam2 are the only Sonos soundbars capable of delivering Dolby Atmos. The Sonos Ray and previous models (Playbar and Playbase) do not.So what to do if you need assistance with your AppleTV to get the best a
Does anyone else find editing a song queue a bit painful?Pressing edit I would have would have thought you could tap on the negative symbol on the left and delete as many tracks as you want in one go. But, you can only delete them one at a time. Swiping left also deletes but again one at a time, and also after you have swiped or tapped edit the track reappears in the queue.
