I have had my Sonos system for many years. Runs on a wireless/meshed network. NO issues until now.Since updating to the new App the system plays for a while (varying amount of time) and stops. When it stops all grouped speakers are lost from the group. The problem happens every time. The App shows ‘no music’ tied to any speaker. To start the system again I select a service and start it. Only 1 speaker plays. All other speakers must be added to create a group. The amount of time the system plays varies. Shortest is 10 mins. Longest is 5 hours.Sonos support admitted there are App problems and remotely rebooted all speakers saying the ‘error’ should clear. It worked for about 4 hours and died.Is this a common problem due to the new App. Is there a solution now or must I wait for future App updates
I have a stereo speaker set made up of 2 x ERA 100 and I find it randomly keeps going out of balance. The right speaker drops in volume to about half of the left speaker. When I subsequently change the speaker volume the balance goes back to the centre again, i.e. the right speaker increases to the same volume of the left.
HiI have 2 x era100 both on ver 16.3.1. I am trying to set them up as a pair but i am just getting an error message to check my network connection.I have rebooted my router, i have reset and added both Era’s into the sonos app but i am still not having any joy.any pointers would be appreciated :)
How can I block others in the household from using the Arc whilst I’m not there
I turned on my Move2 speaker and it started playing. Love the tracks. BUT I can’t find the playlist or station source on the app. I can find each individual song as it’s playing, but not the source. You can see my problem. What if I want to return to this source someday?! If I don’t know what it is, I’ll never find it again. I’ve been really disappointed with this app.
The latest version of the app is, as I’m sure you know, miserably hard to use and a huge step backwards. As of today, it doesn’t work at all. I can no sound out of any speaker.Any chance you can give me my money back for the worthless wall hangings that I now own?
Despite being a fan of Sonos since 2007, I’m tired of wrestling daily with my Sonos system trying to get it to work with this app update fiasco. Who would you recommend I move to: Denon HEOS, Apple HomePod 2, or Amazon Echo Dot?
I changed broadband supplier to Sky from BT last week and have since struggled to get my Sonos system to work as before. Somehow I have managed to get the Beam and both SL1 speakers to work but the Sub is not being recognised so I cannot add it to the system. Also, I cannot get Alexa to work on the Beam, I try to add it as a voice assistant but when it asks me to log in to my Amazon account nothing happens. Any ideas gratefully received!
I just bought 2 ERA 100s. One set up easy and works. The other does not. I live in apt where I dont control router settings. I turned off my android phone vpn to try and set up. It has gotten all the way to asking for wifi network and password which goes fine and then it says it has a problem connecting to network? how so, if the first era 100 did fine? I have no other sonos equipment. how to fix. Ive reset era 100 and router 5 or more times. Lights go out after 20 sec on era 100, why is that? Used to be such a simple product to use, now im debating whether its worth it. would like some good tips to correct.

Beyond Frustrated and about to ask for a refund. Our Sonos Roam will NOT connect to our existing system. IF we can actually get it to work, it creates its own system. We have done everything. Rebooted, logged out/in system, rebooted phone and internet. We have done everything we can possible think of and/or read about. We have done everything to NOT throw this POS across the room and currently opening a bottle of wine.We were able to connect via blue tooth once….yes...once! It seriously has just been a very expensive paper weight.PLEASE HELP! For the price of this system/speakers, everyone expects MORE. fyi: After reading other posts and responses, we can assure SONOS that we do not have internet/connectivity issues. Our router is new and have had no issues with any other device. Please do not state this is the reason behind all the issues.
Hi Sonos Community,I just had a very frustrating week trying to get my SONOS PLAY:1 speakers to reconnect after I updated my home Wi-Fi with a new modem. I followed all the SONOS troubleshooting instructions (e.g. resets, turning the modem off/on, trying the older app) and read all the community topics, but nothing worked.Today, I finally got my PLAY:1 speakers reconnected by factoring in one vital step that the SONOS troubleshooting does not include. Remove other devices on your home Wi-Fi network prior to reconnecting your SONOS PLAY:1 speakers. Before removing the other devices, type in your modem ip address in the search bar of your computer and log in to see what devices are using the network. Systematically disconnect them from the home Wi-Fi (e.g. Smart TV, tablets, computers) until you’re left with just your phone with the SONOS app and connected to the home Wi-Fi. NOTE: I did not reset my modem. I left it on and it was connected all the time. Do the factory reset with your PLA
Long story short.I cannot recall my WIFI P/WSo I did as directed and hooked it directly up to my router with TWO different ethernet cables.Still won’t work. Blames me for the power not being on or it being plugged in. IT IS.So I guess that’s that. I now have a expensive paperweight. And just for some history. This thing has been an absolute UX nightmare from the day I got it. Multiple networks, routers etc, and there has alway been issues. Why will it not work simply through a direct connect with ethernet it beyond me.When it works it’s great, but these issues have me looking elsewhere for another solution.I just can’t believe your system and app just basically is so archaic and well, s****.SCREENCAP WITH MY “OPTIONS”. I recently gave my Era 100’s to my son, how ever, they still appear in the app as Era 100 LR and Era 100 LR2, how do I remove the speaker from being seen in the App as every time I turn the system on it tells me they’re not connected.Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks
Dear Sonos Community and Leadership, I’ve been a passionate supporter of Sonos for years, eagerly recommending your products to friends and family, and planning to invest further in your ecosystem. But today, I’m writing this open letter to express my deep disappointment with the current state of the Sonos app. Since the latest update, the app has been plagued with issues: frequent disconnections, poor ergonomics, Wi-Fi connection failures, and more. The problems are so pervasive that it’s impossible to ignore, and judging by the overwhelmingly negative reviews on both the Apple Store and Google Play, I’m clearly not alone in my frustration. Sonos was once a brand that I admired for its innovation and quality. It was the go-to recommendation for anyone looking for top-notch audio solutions. But now, with these unresolved issues, it feels like that once-innovative brand is slipping into obsolescence. This is particularly troubling given the premium price of your products, where customer
Mi bocina sonos 5 esta conectada a wifi, pero Sonos no la detecta. Sólo aparece la luz blanca parpadeando despacio y ahí se queda. Tiene solución? Moderator Note - Translation by Google:My Sonos 5 speaker is connected to Wi-Fi, but Sonos does not detect it. Only the white light appears, blinking slowly, and it stays there. Do you have a solution?
Hi everyone,I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue with my Sonos system and wanted to see if anyone else has encountered the same problem. Whenever the alarm goes off in the morning, I’m unable to turn it off using the app or the physical buttons on the speaker. The only way I can stop the alarm is by switching the speaker off and on at the main socket. This is my first post here, so I’m hoping the community can help me out. Has anyone else faced this issue? If so, have you found a solution or workaround? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
New router and have updated and connected all other speakers. Cannot connect the Play 3 now tho. When the App says it is discovering the Play 3 and is going to play the ID chime, nothing is heard. Then when it goes to the alternative method of having me push the highlighted button, it doesn’t recognize a button push. My guess is that I need to hardwire it to the network via Ethernet cable but I’m concerned I’ll have to redo all the other speakers again…???
Is sonos sub gen3 weatherproof and water proof
I’m experiencing a new issue with Sonos Controller for Mac vs 16.3.1 (build 80155014) running on Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1. I have a small home with one grouping: two stereo-paired Sonos Fives + Sub and five Sonos One SL speakers in various rooms. The five Sonos Ones intermittently cut out and go silent. The Sonos iPhone app says they’re continuing to play (the sound wave animation is showing next to the speaker’s name) but no sound is coming from the speaker. If I remove the speaker from the group and play a track that speaker, it works fine. If I add it back to the group repeatedly, it will continue to play—for a while. I’ve had this issue come up almost daily.I’ve rebooted my router and it doesn’t correct the issue. This never happened prior to the release of the current Sonos Controller for Mac vs 16.3.1. Also, when I quit the Sonos controller and play music via the Music app on my Mac, the speakers all work reliably with no cutting out, so the root cause appears to b the current Sonos
My Sonos Play1 does not complete its set up. After the s2 app finds the speaker, it asks me to connect to its local WiFi and then will try and play a passcode to complete set up. The passcode never plays/this step never works. I have tried connecting the speaker to the router directly via an either cable. I have also tried without. I’ve tried connecting through the s2 app on the local WiFi and on the home WiFi with the either cable plugged in.I’ve turned off and off. Factory reset, etc but still no luck. the speak did work on the s2 app perviously with all my other S2 gear. However, I recently reset the play1 to use at a friends house and haven’t been able to reconnect to my system since. does anyone have any suggestions? best regards Simon
Under system settings the EQ control for a pair of SONOS ONE speakers doesn’t work. I can move the sliders but there is no effect on the sound. If I try adjust L/R balance nothing happens. Also if I set the volume limit to 90% when I leave system settings and then return it is back to ‘off’.Any clues anyone? The new app seems to be unfinished. Very poor UX and as a heavily invested SONOS user I’m really not impressed.
I have a pair of Fives with a turntable connected to one channel. When I put a record on, unless that pair is already set to the Line-In source, the speakers don’t play the record. I have to manually switch the source in the app. My goal is for people to be able to use the turntable without using the Sonos app. When I bought this pair before the update mess, Autoplay worked fine. I waited patiently for the feature to return to the app, which apparently happened in the July update. However, autoplay simply does not work for me. Are there any steps I can take to ensure that autoplay is correctly enabled? The only setting that I see that looks like it would turn the autoplay feature on/off is the “Autoplay room” setting, which is set to the stereo pair.
I have a problem with connecting Roam with my app on IPhone. Nightmare! I was trying everything! Waiting time for the help on phone…. 50 min. Help!!!!!!!
