After adding an Arc Ultra, I’m now moving my original Arc to another room. I also have a Beam (Gen 2) in yet another room, and am trying to figure out how to best pair my subwoofers. One is a regular Sub (Gen 2), and the other is a Sub Mini.My first thought was to pair the regular Sub with the (original) Arc to keep the “higher end” gear together. However, the room the Arc is going in is significantly smaller than the room with the Beam (and there is a reason I want the Arc in that room, so that’s not a decision point). So maybe it’s better to use the Sub Mini in that room (along with the Arc)?I guess my real question is whether there is a functional tradeoff in using the Sub Mini with an Arc (relative to the regular Sub), other than overall power of the subwoofer. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.
Hey, folks.I just bought two Era 100s and set them up out of the box. The issue I’m having is that when I use the physical volume slider on one of the devices, the volume will frequently jump to 0.In other words, If I give it a good swipe, the volume will rise, suddenly jump to 0, and then continue rising to finish processing the swipe. For example, it might start at 17, go up to 39, suddenly jump to 0, and end on 6. It’s completely random when this happens; it’s not consistent in terms of volume or speed of swiping. If I keep swiping up, the volume gets up to anywhere between 10 and 60 before inevitably starting over from 0.Max volume is off, and I’ve also tried rebooting devices, wifi, and app. This behavior doesn’t happen on my paired Era 100; if I do the same, it rises as expected until it blows my ears out at 100.Any ideas on what the issue is?
Im trying to use a cable with stereo connector on one end and optical on the other to connect my Sonos 5 to my LG TV
I have a setup which includes a stereo pair of Play:1’s (“TV Room”), a Play:3 (“Foyer”) connected via ethernet to a Google Nest wifi point, and a Play:5 (“Kitchen”). I can play an album from YouTube Music across all devices, but *not* one that I’ve uploaded to YouTube Music. I’m actually unable to even search across YouTube Music “Library” in the Sonos app when connected to that Kitchen device (I can find the album in the desktop Sonos app, and play it from there). The Play:5 shows up in the app, and I can adjust it (toggle the status light, raise or lower the volume on the device or in the app) but it does not play any audio when I try to play an album that I’ve uploaded to YTM. Here is the Network Matrix from the debug menu at http://192.168.86.210:1400/support/review Any ideas what’s going on?
When using the Sonos app almost every time I open it I look at system settting and it will tell me some of my speakers (my paired 5’s) are on a “different network”. We only have one network at home. So then I have to close and reopen the app a number of times and eventually after a seemingly random and always different period the 5’s will show up on the network. But only one will play. Eventally the other one will kick in..maybe 3 or 4 minutes later. There are a multitude of other issues that also prevent me just playing music on my multiple Sonos components as and when I want. It’s always a hassle and has ruined a number of evenings where we have guests and I’m fiddling around trying to get Sonos to work. Invariably these guests decide Sonos is not for them.Tried calling the support line but I’m not willing to sit on hold for 40 plus minutes.I think I am at the stage of putting the whole system up for sale. I have seen no improvement over the last few months, other than volume contr

What is the easiest way to identify if a sonos Beam is Gen 1 or Gen 2?
have seven speakers on my sonos system. Two of the speakers show the network extension address in the app and the other five connect via the main modem versus the network extension devices. The two on the extension devices wont respond to the app controls. They and allow adjustments but wont play.any suggestions?
I have a Play:3. Can It hook it to my computer through ethernet? I’ve got a bridge, but it isn’t recognized by my Mac system, so I thought I might take the Bridge out the the pass from computer to speaker.
I currently have a Play 3 in my family room with a Gen 3 Sub. Thinking of replacing/upgrading to two Era 100’s with the sub. Other than the better separation with the two Era 100’s in stereo will this be an upgrade ?
How can I determine the generation of my One SL speakers?
Hi there,I have bought a used Play 1 that allegedly is supposed to work fine.I don’t have any other Sonos products on my network currently, but I have had a Play 3 until recently (worked fine). I started by factory resetting the device. Then I have tried the following, with the following errors:Tried to add the Play 1 through the Sonos app (not S1). I got to the Wifi-password step, but it won’t accept my wifi password. It says it can’t connect. After a while, a button appears that says “use ethernet cable” or something similar (non-english system). But when I press this, and connect the ethernet cable, it still can’t connect. I tried to add the Play 1 while the network cable was connected. This rendered the list of Wifi-networks empty and I never get to the “use ethernet cable” option. I tried to factory reset the Play 1 while having the ethernet cable connected. This did not make anything different. I have disconnected all other devices from my router, restarted it, etc. No difference
I know there have been a few posts on Google Nest WiFi Pro mesh setups but not seen any definitive answers. I have installed the mesh WiFi and whilst the Sonos speaker (S1) seems to have found and connected to the network (e.g. I can use Alexa and start internet radio) the Sonos app does not show any connected speakers. Has anyone managed to get Sonos working with Nest WiFi Pro? I do not have the option to connect via a wire or use the original router as it’s too far away - it needs to connect wirelessly to the Nest access point.
Will Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 still connect? Or is there no longer any current software to support it?
Can I connect my SL1200 sects to my Sonos system
I’m trying to set up a gen 1 play:1 to a new wifi. Have factory reset and followed every step numerous times. It connects to the wifi but won’t register to my account. Can anyone help please? It’s been 10 days without music in a new town :(
Last week, for about the 20th time in 2 years, my Sonos Play1 wouldn’t work. App did nothing. I tried to update the app, nothing. I saw there was a new app, so I downloaded that. Tried to re-pair my speaker or whatever, nothing. Then suddenly it works. No problem. Everything fine. I think finally, a new app, this will be better.Today, nothing. NOTHING. Tried to re-set it, won’t work. Won’t recognize it. I’ve spent hours on this. SO frustrated. The speaker sounds great when it’s work (which is only maybe 50-60% of the times I’ve tried to use it). Bluetooth would be so much easier!
I have a 4 yr old Sonos system. It includes two One SLs,. two Connects and two Connect amps. The amps are for non-Sonos speakers. I'm running S1 OS . I was going to buy additional One SLs from e-bay, but from what I've read, it seems I can't add another 4 yr.old One SL. Is that true? Could I add a non-SL One? Because my system is 4 yrs. old, I didn't want to cause any compatibilty issues by upgrading to the S2 OS. What should I use for the additional speakers?
Hello everyone my question is so in one room i have 2x sonos five and sonos ultra plus sub 4 but i noticed as soon i turn on sub 4 , my fives stops giving bass, so what i did , i unpaired sonos fives and added room 1 random even if they are in same room then playing music through same chanel instead of surround i have separated them but if i want to have two profiles one for music like this and one for movies as stereo is it possible to do that? Instead of every time connecting fives to room 1 ? Like switching between profiles? Lets say one profile is stereo and second profile is surround. As i notice when i do so os separately bass improves twice so for me for music sounds like i have two sub4 otherwise if i use surrounds fives stops giving bass and reduces bass so much
Hi, I just replaced my old Xfinity internet with AT&T fiber. I’m using the same WiFi, a LinkSys Velop mesh system. All me devices connected fine, but my Sonos Connects steadfastly refuse to connect. I’ve rebooted, unplugged and replugged, cycled the modem and router, nothing. My Play 1s connect fine. Ideas?
I am trying to setup a sonos S1 which has been upgraded with S2 software.Sonos one has flashing green led - and app finds device Sonos one makes noise for PIN and app finds device. I am unable to connect device to router either by wifi or directly with ethernet cable i have checked phone/device on same network I have tried using WPA2 or (WPA+WPA2_ options on router - although direct connection should make this irrelevent I have rebooted sonos one and router many times all other devices in house connect to wifi without issues I have separate 5G and 24G wifi’s - I have tried both.Any help appreciated.Oh PS… I do not have ‘update network’ option visible in the sonos app...
I own a number of Play 5 Gen 1, Play 3, Play 1, Sub and Playbar. These are perfectly working qood products, that I have full intention to continue using with Sonos S1. I would like to share with the community how I manage to factory reset each unit and reconfigure them back, since the standard procedure didn’t work and Sonos S1 app couldn’t find them on the network. Looking through various resources on the Internet the general conclusion was that each and every unit I have are faulty and only good for recycling, which couldn’t be true. And I have prooved if. To factory reset the unit make sure the unit is the only Sonos device on the network, connect it with Cat5 cable directly to the router. Make sure all other Sonos devices are be powered down. Do the factory reset sequence (keep mute and volume up buttons pressed on powering up and keep them pressed for 60 sec). It has succeeded for each unit for me. Had the blinking green at the end. If this is the first unit, do the initial
Hi everyone, so today I noticed that my whole setup was stuck at 15 in volume. What I mean is that every time I turned the volume up or down, it would change on its own and go back to 15. After resetting, unpairing, etc., I found out that one of my Era 100s was causing the issue. It’s also started to sound very bad, like only the treble is working. Has anyone had a similar experience? What did you do, and do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?
I have 8 Sonos Era 100s throughout my home which randomly start playing music at times. What can I look at to determine the cause?
