Hi all,

I have two Era100s. They worked fine out of the box, but now after about 6 weeks, I cannot set them up both in one room. I can if I choose stereo pair, but as they are so far apart I don't want to do that.

If I add one first to a room, for instance "kitchen", when I add the second one to "kitchen" it sets up "kitchen 2", so each speaker has a separate room.

I've been one the phone to sonos for a bout an hour and they see the problem but so far haven't offered a solution.

Have you tried grouping the rooms instead of trying to create a stereo pair?

Speakers can be in the same physical room ie. your kitchen, but the Sonos app will only allow you to place speakers in the same “Sonos room” if they are bonded together ie. stereo paired. Having independent names for each “Sonos room” allows for easy speaker identification. If you are not going to stereo pair the speakers then they will remain as 2 separate Sonos rooms which you can group together.

Hi Guys,

It's all ok now. It crashed last week and when I reset it, the line in was only coming on the local speaker when it changed from radio as the grouping tab was turned off. I guess it set up two rooms to start with and I didn't notice.

This was so much less confusing when Sonos had Zones and houses had rooms.

I've gone with Room 1, Room 2 style names here but "bedroom desk" and "bedroom  nightstand" names are good too.
