For the folks that have Sonos Era 100 and doesn’t have any wifi issues, may I ask what wifi mesh system you have?

I currently have Netgear nighthawk mesh system and it could be that my mesh system is not compatible with my Era 100s and this is after trying different ways to get running. I also have the Era speakers on static ip which work for a bit till it doesn’t or every time I reboot my router.

Also, my older Sonos devices works fine under my current wifi system.

Hi @esantos

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with the connectivity of your Era 100 speakers.

We are not aware of any compatibility conflicts with Netgear Nighthawk meshes, but I did come across the following steps that may help you with the issue you are having. They concern Paused Devices, and either one of the two solutions should work - it’s just a question of whether you already have the right app installed or not.

Resolution - via routerlogin.net

  1. Navigate to http://routerlogin.net/

  2. Sign in using the router's administrator username and password.

  3. Click on the Advanced tab.

  4. From the side bar menu, navigate to Security > Access Control .

  5. Locate the blocked Sonos component in the list showing in the middle of the page.

  6. Add a checkmark on the checkbox on the right of the blocked device.

Resolution - via the NightHawk app

  1. Launch the NightHawk mobile app.

  2. Tap on Device Manager.

  3. Locate the paused Sonos device.

  4. Slide ball switch to the right to unblock the device.

Once completed, the Sonos Player will be able to connect, register, update, or stream. You may need to reboot the affected Sonos component(s) first.

I hope this helps.
