I have a Play 1 and 3 in my lounge/kitchen that have worked brilliantly for a number of years. However over the last 2/3 months the connections repeatedly drop in and out and occasionally nothing! I also have a Roam and a newer Play 1 which are working ok. is it a case of the software not working with older hardware? Is there anything I can do?
Hi, so I have the following set up in a small office. Pair of Era 100s with Sub mini.I first noticed this sound stage issue when watching a film where the sound stage between the Era 100 pair was ‘moving’ from left to right, slowly and then back again. Its almost as if the stereo pair is trying to find the ‘centre’. If that doesn’t make sense imagine slowly sliding the ‘balance’ toggle from left to right and back again. Both speakers are outputting sound but the focal central point is moving.Sound stage slowly moves from left to right and back again with music also. This odd behaviour doesn’t happen all the time and there doesn’t seem to be a consistency to it.I must stress that it is subtle but noticeable.Has anyone else experienced this?
Recently purchased a sonos 5 gen 2 second hand.I've tried connecting to my WiFi but the Sonos 5 is not found. I've tried connecting by Etherley not found. I've reset by unplugging and holding the connect button while plugging in after a few seconds the light flashes white and orange then changes to white and green. Still no connection.
So here’s a question. I have a fairly straightforward 5.1.2 surround set up using an Arc, Sub Mini with 2 x One Gen 1 set up which I use in day-to-day use. I dusted off an old unused Beam Gen 1 with the aims of selling it but just for fun, I decided to group the Beam on left side of my room and was REALLY pleasantly surprised at how well it filled in the space, especially with music.I’m now kind of tempted to by another second hand Beam Gen 1 to do the same on the right but I just wanted to ask if anyone can explain how grouping the additional speaker works and changes the sound signature. As a 3.0 speaker, does it just serve stereo or does it serve as a 3.0 (FL-C-FR) or something else?It would be very cool to be able to add other (older or newer) speakers into the mix to serve as additional height, side or other channels and open up a lot more options.Keen to hear any thoughts and feedback. Thank in advance
I own 10 or more Sonos products. Love the sound. But…There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get one to connect. I just spent 45 minutes trying to get my “Roam” to connect via wifi. Once I got that going I was asked to reauthorize my Sirius XM account… which then proceeded to gray out all channels. 2 hours later I’m still without a working speaker after deleting Sirius, closing the app, re-adding it, deleting the app, reinstalling the app, deleting it from my laptop and phone, and so on. I was on with customer service but then my Sirius username & PW was getting kicked back in the Sonos app (and it was the correct credentials, I signed in to the Sirius app directly with the same info) so they said it was user error. Any suggestions? Return all of it?Why is this so hard? My 10 year son can get his $14 blue tooth speaker in 10 seconds or less. I’m thousands of dollars in and nothing today...
Hello, I have connected my sonos Arc, sonos Sub and 1 One SL to my freebox without problem. But Impossible to connect the second One SL to my Freebox. I reset my One SL, LED is flashing green. In my app when I add product the sonos One SL is detected but a the next step , « Preparing your Sonos One SL in progress... » , there is an error : « Your mobile device was unable to connect to your Sonos One SL. Check that your Sone One SL is plugged into a power outlet. ».I did a lot of checking. the sonos one sl is in the same place as the other products. I tried to connect it via ethernet directly to my freebox. I tried by setting channel 1, 6 and 11 on my freeBox. I deactivated the 5ghz card on my freebox.... I don't know what to do anymore. If someone has an idea ?
Trying to reconnect a One speaker, a new room was created although I picked the correct room to add it to. How to fix?
Does anybody know what the screw sizes for the official Sonos One stands are? Thanks a lot !
Hi,I want to buy a Sonos Port Streamer to plug my own analogue speakers and my turntable. But can I add my Era 100 box too (on top of the analogue speaker) to add an extra (3rd) speaker, or is that not possible?
Help, sub was unplugged, plugged back in and now showing up as Sub2 but not connecting
I have recently purchased a pair of Era300 speakers however the connection to wifi is extremely unstable and i keep getting signal drops. i dont belive it is my wifi as i am able to use other devices with no loss of signal. Can anyone suggest what the problem is as i have tried resetting it several times and its too late to return for a refund. i use as s23ultra phone which has the sonos app on it.
The only way to get Era 100 on Sonosnet is by using the Sonos Combo Adapter. Without it Era 100 is relying on my home wifi to connect. My wifi isn't as stable as it should be, therefor my Era 100 is suffering from the occasional dropouts. That's saddening. Ever since I've been using Sonosnet in combination with fixed IP addresses in my router I haven't had any dropouts. That's since about 10 years!I think it's a grave mistake Sonos eliminated the Sonosnet wireless option from Era 100. I'd like it reintroduced very much.
Hi,When I connect to my IKEA Symfonisk speaker via Airplay from my MacBook Air it only works for a few seconds (maybe minutes). After that the sound switches over to the computer’s internal speakers and the Symfonisk is totally “broken”. Can’t reconnect to it in anyway. The phone app also stopped working. The only thing I can do is to unplug the power and restart. If I try again, I get the same problem…I did find some old post with a similar problem description. There they discussed wifi channel interference/problems - really? How could a product like this (totally wifi dependent) be this sensitive to something like that. /Anders
Hello all Good People🫶 This is just a shoot in the dark…i have just bought two Ikea Symfonisk Lamps.(Gen 2 red.anm) Been listen to it for a couple of days now. I got it on my bedside-table in my bedroom at grannys place. The other one is in grannys livingroom….anyway.I feel like the Ikea Symf.Lamp got like Era 100 signature to it in sound. Do they have the same drivers inside perhaps? Anyone been dismantle them? Like doing some surgery… Personally i have not been thinking of doing so not to break warrenty.Be Well🙏
I’ve had the sonos playbar for years, and i decided to “upgrade it”…. how is it possible it sounds noticeably worse.. very poor bass response, and i need to raise the volume significantly higher for the same desirable sound level in the room…. have others felt this level of disappointment? is it just assumed you need to have a subwoofer? when i didn’t need one before?
I have to continually reset my connect and various speakers to pull them back into the App. This just recently became a problem, I feel ever time I open the App different speakers are missing. Re-adding the missing speakers to the app is not easy, in some cases it takes several tries. I’ve been a SONOS customer for 10+yrs with the same equipment, and I never had this issue until recently (past 12 months). Wifi in the house is solid, when the speakers are connected I never have an issue with the music cutting out. All other Wifi devices in the home is working as expected.
I’m currently trying to add a play 3 to my existing home system, Current system is a combination of Play1s and play3s all running on S2.when I add this new Play 3 I get to the point where it has been added to my network and software says it needs to update my new speaker, it starts and then stops, giving an error code 9, incompatible speaker.I have tried multiple factory resets and taken the speaker back to S1 using the S2 app, the result is always the same, Error code 9Has anyone else experience this?
Hello I recently purchased a Sonos Sub Mini. To my surprise I discovered an assembly defect. I still have a Beam 2 and two one SLs so I'm used to the quality of Sonos. Please tell me if this "defect" can affect the subwoofer in the future. Dust can get in, the hearing quality can decrease, warranty problems, etc. I tried to press on the swelling, but it returns in the same position. The seller offered me a 10% discount, but I don't know if it's worth it because it looks worse than a resealed one.
Hello Everybody,I have just purchased a Sub Mini, this one is linked with two Era 100.I use these devices only for music, for you what is the best configuration ? Loudness on or loudness off ? What is the volume of your Sub Mini ?At this point, I have put the loudness to off and the volume of the Sub Mini is 14 and all of these devices has a Trueplay.Thank you forward for your feedback.Kind regards.
Hello there,I have a Sonos One and a Sonos SL connected to the router downstairs and all is super there.i purchased another Sonos SL for the bedroom which operates on a different router. I connected and it worked but as soon as the email connection drops (happens fairly regularly) or a power cut this Sonos needs resetting. It just doesn’t seem happy to be on a different router. I try to control from my iPhone but sometimes it shows the speaker, sometimes not. I have factory reset to get it to work but just not happy. There must be an easier way. Do I need another piece of kit or a different Sonos?
Only one of my speakers works at a time now.I have had seven or eight Sonos speakers for ten years or more but now they do not work (all have been upgraded to Sonos 2).I am very technical and three days on I have tried all the obvious solutions, eg resetting each device, rebooting everything, reconfiguring subnet, removing mesh network, but it seems that these speakers are just expensive bricks now. Anyone else experienced this or have any ideas ?A mate suggested that Sonos cannot cope with the two wavebands on WiFi and this was the problem. The only causality I by have is that I switched from iPhone to Pixel and that's when my problems started. This is mad....
J’ai changé le nom et le code de mon réseau WIFI MAIS mon réseau reste toujours avec le même opérateur ET je n’arrive plus à connecter mon enceinte/lampe bloetooth
I know these topics are throughout the forums but I figured I’d start my own to separate from others and finally submit my own logs.I submitted my logs (ID: 873786225)My current setup consists of a mix of older S1 gear and new using both the apps S1 and S2, these are all WM1 (wireless) and none are hardwired in and all within the coverage of two Unifi APs. S1:3x Sonos Connects (ZP 90)S2:1x Play 5 (Gen 2) 1x Play 1 (Gen 1) 2x Era 100 1x Connect Amp (ZP120)Tried & Tested:I have tried hard wiring in a few of these devices and had the same issue, so I put them all back to being on wireless rather than creating a SonosNet wifi network which may clash. I have also tried static IPs via MAC in the Unifi Gateway outside of my set DHCP range, no change. Rebooted all the Sonos boxes, Gateways, any/all my networking hardware. (I’ve had a full house power-cut a week ago so that nuked the entire house for a full reset)Typically what happens is the music can be playing for a long time via Spotify
I'm running into a bit of a snag with my Sonos setup lately. It seems like some of my speakers are playing hide and seek with the connection – they keep dropping out on me! 😅 I've gone through the usual troubleshooting routine: rebooting, checking for updates, but no luck so far. Has anyone else had this happen? If you've got any tricks up your sleeve for fixing it, I'd be super grateful for the assist! Thanks a ton! 🙏
