Will Sonos refund me & take this crap back? It is hot garbage.

I have had Sonos systems in multiple homes for maybe ten years or so.  I have all in maybe ten speakers between two homes, most of which were purchased at least five years ago. once again yesterday evening as I had hoped to relax to music, I found myself dealing with intermittent sound and speakers which stopped playing and then skipping ahead to other songs on playlist/album.  My issue is that the things just don’t work when you want them to.  Sort of like the old phone company, I just want it to work without it asking me to invest time and knowledge in either understanding why it won’t work, and then having to fix it myself.  I do not care about the various aspects of the technology, I do like the idea of having music in each room and having it controlled from my phone, but I don’t want to be a tech guy and have to diagnose and fix it.  I’m thinking I might just go back to having a Bluetooth speaker in each area and just chucking out this Sonos stuff.

I bought this Play1 in 2016 or so, to my recollection, and it always worked flawlessly. This was, naturally, with 2016 wifi technology, and a 2016 mobile device. It provided great party entertainment.Flash forward to today, not many parties post-COVID, but I wanted to get reconnected with my Sonos. Of course, it won’t connect! Prowling around on the internet, this community, and a 2 hour chat with customer service, and no leads to get this rectified. Last statement from the rep was, “Sonos is working on this issue with no ETA for resolution.” Something tells me they won’t be reaching out to me when a solution is reached. If you are still reading, accept my apologies for boring you. Over the last 20 days (after the app update), my Sonos Era 100 no longer shows up on the app… no big deal because I never used the app… but worse is Alexa no longer works on the Era 100. I’ve rebooted it, factory reset, uninstalled/reinstalled the app, restarted my WiFi, updated my access points’ firmware, unplugged the Era 100 for 15 seconds and plugged it back in. I feel like I’ve done everything and cannot get my Era 100 to work. Basically my expensive Era 100 is just a basic Bluetooth speaker.

I have 4 Play:1 speakers that repeatedly disappear from S2 app after they aren’t used for a while (>12 hours).  If I unplug them from power and re-plug again, they appear and work perfectly. This only started happening after the recent upgrade of the Sonos app.

Are you getting a problem connecting to the Music folder on your Window PC so unable to stream the music you have stored? Especially if you have placed your Music folder on your D drive (so you don’t fill up you smaller SSD C drive) Open Windows Explorer and you should see the music folder. Right click on the Music folder icon and select Properties. Select the Location tab and you should see where Windows thinks your music is stored. If it is incorrect select Find Target and find where you have stored your Music folder. Select the location and click on apply.The Sonos app should then be able to read your Music library.If only the Sonos support team said to try this activity first it would have saved a whole lot of pain.

I have an Era 300 stereo pair in my home and had a One stereo pair in my office.  I have now retired.  I’ve done factory resets on the Ones but I’m not sure how I can add them to the Era pair and match the Left Era with a One (making it a Left) and match the Right Era with the other One, or am I thinking about this the wrong way???  Thanks

So, the soundbar gave up recently so we’re left with two Play1s. Can the Play1s be used without a soundbar? The Sonos site says two can be used to create a ‘stereo’ effect but nowhere does it mention (as far as I can tell) that they can’t be used without a soundbar …Thanks in advance.

I am using the Sonos app to play Apple Music on my Sonos Era 100, but sometimes the sound suddenly stops. When I check the Sonos app, it shows that the music is still playing normally. In other words, the music is playing, but no sound is coming out. If I stop the music in the Sonos app, switch to AirPlay to play some sound, and then return to the Sonos app to play the music again, the sound comes back. What could be the cause of this issue?

How do I set up my Sonos Play:5 White to my wifi system?

Ever since I have updated my Sonos App it will not show up once paired to my internet. I’ve tried all options, resetting my Sonos, re installing the app. It finds the speaker, connects to the internet but the does not show in the app. This was never an issue before the app updated. Any help appreciated as I’m at the end of my tether! 

Practically all the features that I’ve been using and value are gone. I can barely control the speaker from my phone, only from my laptop. and cannot edit or add to queue. I used to be able to set music for the day and not worry about it. Now all that is gone.No response form Sonos support of courseI’ll be gone too and probably not return unless things are fixed soon.

Why can’t I add individual song to my queue any longer?  As at decade plus longer Sonos user this was the main function that I loved.

My system and speakers are connected to app but speakers will not play when I hit play button. I have reset app but still not playing. Last night I added some stations and tried to connect to Google assistant but I didn't go through with that. Looking for a solution.

If/when will there be a reply from sonos, to cure this error  ?

I’m trying to turn touch controls back on for a speaker, but the settings are entirely gone in the new app. Or moved somewhere else that’s isn’t logical. Anyone found these yet?Bit of a bummer Sonos didn’t think feature parity was a good idea!
