sonos play 5 update


I have an old Sonos play 5, not used for a couple of years. Lady time it worked with a 3.5mm cake plugged in. 

 

Now it asked to update the software, and I tried after a factory reset, with an Ethernet cable plugged in. 

 

Sonos mobile app can see the device and suggests I update it. I try to, but it says Error 1002. Light flashes green green when power restored.

 

Help!

Try updating it with the desktop app.It’s failing on mobile for many people because the new app is buggy AF!

The original Play5 will only work on sonos S1 app...

Yes apparently so....windows app did not work
