Sonos bridge was discontinued and a message informs any audio system can connect directly to router. Is that true? How to do it?
New Connect product with Airplay introduced or will there be a software update?
I have a very high 18' cathedral ceiling and thinking of placing the sub on a ledge 14' x 3' deep up. I have an outlet up there but before I get the ladder, has anybody had the "high base" experience to share.

Setting up Sonos with the AT&T Uverse network after a move. Since doing so, TV will freeze, network will shut down, phones won't connect to wifi/internet. AT&T Techs have, essentially, reinstalled our network and checked their equipment. No issues found. One mentioned hearing of others having connection challenges with Sonos and AT&T. Does this ring true out there?
I have a Samsung QLED tv that is hooked up to my playbar but I see there is a WiFi speaker surround sound setup available to have the sound output to my other sonos in my living room. This is grayed our though. Has anyone used this feature and got it to work? Is it grayed out because I have the playbar plugged into the tv?
I own 8 sonos speakers and 2 of them are 5s. One just died on me last week. I spoke to a service rep at Sonos to learn that I have a « deal » on a replacement unit at $550 to replace my 3 year old speaker. Frankly, this is very disappointing and frustrating. I paid over $500 for this speaker already. I am not willing to spend another $500 to replace after just 3 years. What happens if my second 5 also breaks down. The different forums indicate a problem that is quite common on this speaker. What can I do. RMA 00548098-00073640
Hello, I'm a newbie in the community (but a passionate Sonos user). I got my first Sonos one a few weeks ago. I'm planning to take it temporarily to a friend's vacation house for a few days, which means I will have to unplug and connect to a new wifi network. In my limited experience, I noticed that I would lose all my previous set up, especially the music streaming services (unfortunately I have quite a few to log in). I am really hoping my Sonos will remember all my previous set up, especially the music services when I plug it back to my home. I did some research but did not find anything helpful. Does anyone know what's the best way to do it? Thanks so much.
I thought I had taken a higher quality system and now I find sonos speaker for sale in Ikea. disgusted ... I hope at least there are important differences compared to the speakers of the store sonos.
I wish I could select the audio output on the Play:5 to come out through its built in speakers or the headphone jack from the controller so I can keep my headphones plugged in. It would also be great to be able to have audio come through both at the same time!
Hi all. I have 4 Sonos zones and 5yrs of largely trouble free use. Went away for the weekend - upon return I had to reboot Sonos as the iPhone controller wouldn’t connect. Finally got most zones working but one Sonos Play 3 ( TV surround speaker ) and 2 Play 5’s ( Stereo Pair) simply won’t connect. I’ve removed the TV surrounds but one Play 3 still won’t add. And I can’t find the Play 5s at all. I’ve now realised these three speakers don’t have surge protectors - the rest do. Doesn’t seem like a coincidence. Lights are all working on the three problem speakers so may not have totally fried them. FYI, just realised my subwoofer was plugged direct to power without a surge protector but it’s still working. Maybe it’s more robust? Any thoughts on how to tell if that’s the problem? Thanks in advance!
I have bought the AVR-X1400H with 5 Sonos one , i would to have radio/music played troughout my firm space in different location(s) such as, packaging, offices, kitchen, etc etc.. How do i properly connect the bluetooth one's to my DENON ? or did i miss purchased an item wrong as the person who sold me this told me it would be no issue to connect the speakers to the AVR X1400H. Kinds regards
I purchased a Sonos 5 to replace a dead Bose sound dock. First, I really like the sound quality of this product. Regretfully, I encountered a playback/song skipping issue that Sonos doesn't seem to have an answer for. During playback, at random times, Sonos skips to the next song. Sometimes a few seconds into a song. Sometimes a few minutes into a song. Incredibly annoying. I tried (tirelessly) to work with Sonos to resolve the issue, but to no avail. They say to call with any problems, but don't tell you that there is often an hour plus hold time. That leaves you with e-mail support with a different technician every time you get a response. Every time the issue was blamed on my wireless router, which works perfectly with EVERY OTHER DEVICE IN MY HOME (TVs, phones, laptops, iPods, doorbells, thermostats, etc.). They also say that this is an uncommon problem. Judging from the number of folks on this forum with the same issue, this is something they need to shine a light on a
My speakers were stolen. Is there anyway they could be tracked if the un-rightful owner tried to set up an account?
Using Spotify. On Google pixel. Diagnostic 965656463 Super annoying. Don't know if it's a Sonos or Spotify issue. Have had tons of connection issues through Spotify connect too ( although this particular issue is happening directly through the Sonos app)
I have a play 3 that was on a surge protector, in the same room & never moved, was rarely used which is now not working. It has no power. I checked the power cord and it works on my other sonos speaker. I am disappointed because I was told by customer support that the only option is for me to pay close the purchase price for a replacement speaker because the product is out of warranty. I have 3 Sonos speakers and intended to outfit my next home with this Brand of speakers, because I liked the sound quality of my two play 1. At this point however, I am afraid to invest any more money in a product that has such a short lifespan and substandard costumer support for faulty products. Hopefully, Sonos will redeem themselves before losing more loyal and valued customers.
I have a Play 5 gen 2, and it fell off a shelf, fortunatelly on a sofa, but the cable tore apart. I’d like to see if I can repair it.
I just purchased my sonos system today and was excited to set it up. I downloaded the sonos controller from the App Store for my iPhone 5S. I have a bridge and a play 1. I started playing music through the "on this phone" option. I added one of my playlists to the queue and started listening, however, each song only plays half way through before it skips to the next song. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing? Not a happy camper right now 😞
New sonos play:1 user. had the speaker since december with no issues, playing songs from my spotify app to sonos wirelessly with no skips and stopping of songs. in the past week every song i play this is happening to all of a sudden. i’m aware of sonos current issue with auto lock and airplay feature, both have always been turned off on my phone and still same issue. have rebooted, redownloaded, reset etc. i have tried to change wireless channel on the IP address but can’t figure out how to do that yet? Have also been getting the notification ‘unable to play (insert song) - network connection speed insufficient to maintain playback buffer’. seems like an obvious wi-fi issue but i’m not great with tech stuff and my usual switch off switch on trick hasn’t worked, so i’m stumped. no other wi-fi related issues in the house and sonos used to play perfectly before last week. submitted diagnostic, configuration number is 696190640 any help would be appreciated!
I know I must be missing something really obvious, but how in the heck do you set up preset Groups? We can add and remove speakers on the fly from Groups, but having to do that each and every time is getting really old. There must be a way to set up a preset so that, as an example, in the mornings, we can select the "Downstairs" Group to play music on, while at night, we can select the "Master Bedroom" Group, and when people come over, we can select the "All Speakers" Group, without having to manually add/remove speakers every single time. When there are only one or two speakers, it's not that big a deal, but once you get to having 4, 5, 6, or more speakers, it's kind of a pain.
Well, Audible is working great. The Alexa skill is working great. I would love to see Trueplay added to Android. I know there must me a solution (e.g. add-on microphone).
Sort-of just for fun, but I am curious how many Sonos devices do you own, and what does your setup look like? I feel I have developed a bit of an addiction with more than 14 in my 4-bedroom home, ha! I tell my wife "some folks get tattoos, I get SONOS". Curious what the rest of the community has in their setup 🙂
I am trying to set up my PLAY:1 and can't complete the process. It can find my player and asks me to hold down the two buttons until I hear a chime, which I do, and then nothing happens. It doesn't move beyond that screen, and the flashing amber light eventually becomes a solid red. My computer app tells me it couldn't find it, even though it found it seconds before to identify which player I wanted to add. This is a new PLAY:1 that I was sent about 6 months ago when my other one did the same thing. I did do a factory reset once because it was my only remaining recourse. Any ideas? MY PLAY:3 is connected and works fine.
I have a Play 1 and recently the speaker cracks whenever lower bassier tones are played. Is this something that can be sent in for repair?
I purchased a sonos playbar and subwoofer 2 months ago and have be very pleased with the quality. Last week I purchased another subwoofer and it worked great for 2 days. It now has a solid white light and will not work. I've unplugged the sub and tried to reconnect and it does nothing. Can anyone help?
