Hello,
I'll start off with admitting I'm now tech dumb following a body/brain injury leaving me disabled.
I currently own a surround set up in my main house consisting of two wall mounted play 3's (as rears), playbar under my Samsung, and a sub... and LOVE the experience !
I am now in the middle of setting up a mancave I built for the purpose of a billiards room in a separate room (50+ ft from house) that is 21 ft long x 13.5 ft wide x 10 ft high, drywalled and insulated with Roxul, w/ insulated subfloor and a tight berber carpet with thick under-padding, all housed at one end of my 30 x 50 shop.
I have an IT specialist working things out with Sonos to create an acceptable/compatible/workable separate network in 'The Cave' with my annoying wireless broadband: Xplornet
My question to the community: (I already know it's overkill, but it's how I play, and my goal with this room is to play pool while fully immersed in rich FULL sound at any volume anywhere one is positioned in the room, and something to produce ridiculous heavy sound if/when the mood strikes hehe.) I was originally going to build a sound studio as I already own a very hard hitting 2000 w system with dual subs but with my decision to add a pool table I lost my floor space. So Sonos it is :)
Tell me, in your opinion(s)… based on my room size & shape, and that I intend to ceiling mount (easier to route add'l outlets than the walls), 4 Play5 v.2's, and 1 wall mounted sub, and wonder which would be the best arrangement for full sound immersion anywhere in the room:
4 Play5's ceiling corner mounted (2 each long end corners, paired stereo or not)? OR....
4 Play5 spread evenly surrounding the pool table not paired in stereo each wall center hung from ceiling?
Again, I know it's over-kill, but if it doesn't stun me with grins I'm not interested, and funds aren't an issue.
TIA
Single room with 4 Play:5 + sub
