Recently my playbar doesn't relay sound when directv is on. Works with everything else though. Anyone else experience this? Solution?
This is my 2nd tv and i am still getting terrible sync problems. My last tv was a samsung and i have just bought an oled c7 thinking it would cure the problem but it is just as bad. i am really getting fed up with the sonos playbar and i am losing faith in the product. im using optical from the tv to the playbar. It also does it when i plug the optical lead from sky Q to the playbar. I have tried everything possible but no luck. Reading on here there are a few people with the same problem. its starting to get me down.
Hi l have a sonos that l haven't used for about 2 years. I have tried to use it and there's now nothing. I have a small white box thing with a button with two arrows on. I have a slightly larger box with a mute button, and then volume button. The light on this is a solid yellow/orange colour. I then have two black speakers both have a solid white light. My app says there is no system connected. Please help as l do t know what to do 😞
Welcome, Sonos 7.4! From everybody but, well, me, I guess. With 7.4 running on my Mac OS 10.9, my glorious SONOS system is now officially gimped up. The entire "Manage" menu is grayed out. Forever, I'm told, by Sonos tech support, until I upgrade to Mac OS 10.10. Which I choose not to. FAVOR: Can somebody who hordes installers be so kind as to send me a 7.3 installer? I would love you for ever and ever. mick (at) mick jeffries dotcom
I've had sonos for a couple of years now. Started with the playbar and sub and then yesterday I added 2 play 1's to get surround sound. OMG!!! What a drama. I didn't realise there would be any issues, just went to JB Hifi and bought a couple of speakers only to find there are loads of issues. Since failing to get everything connected and running 5.1 through the blu ray player I came to this community and read a lot of different all reporting the same issues. I have a Samsung TV and Blu Ray player and wasn't aware until last night that there are a lot of issues with decoding the audio. Not sure why Samsung and Sonos don't play nice together but also know that it's unlikely for anything to change. Anyway, I went out today and bought a few things after reading some threads last night. And can get the system working using the following components: Digitech HDMI Audio Extractor Digitech 3-Way Optical Switch However, I now have two new boxes sitting on my cabinet, a new r
Having a birthday party in a banquet hall. It seats about 250 (have no measurements). One big room. Dance floor on one side which is about a third of the room but want to setup music throughout. I have 3 Play:1s now. I know this isn't a lot of info to go on, but I wanted to add to my setup and hope for the best. I was thinking of taking the 3 Play:1s and using them for the back wall and two side walls. For the dance floor area, should I purchase a single Play:3 (mono) or two more Play:1s and put them in stereo mode? I can't do two Play:3s in stereo so don't go there. 🙂 Any other suggestions? Thanks!!
I have a 55" Samsung smart tv and would like to know how to play my sonos play 3 as like a sound bar . Thanks!
Hi there, We're setting up a new living room and have a query about distance of play 1s connected to a playbar. Based on our layout people sitting on the sofa will be 2.6m away from the playbar. The problem is with speakers on the opposite side of the room the play 1s will be 5 meters away. Is that too far? Want to avoid adding more speakers in the ceiling but worried they will be too far away. Thanks!! David
It would be superb (maybe essential) if one could export Sonos or imported playlists
Time Warner Cable is telling me that none f their boxes have surround sound abilities? So very thing is in stereo, if the fight this weekend?!
Is it possible to play live music through Sonos connect?
I’ve received an email from Sonos regarding an update to their privacy policy ahead of new software and system updates next week. Alexa integration? I think so...
Threatening to slowly brick my expensive speakers if I don't accept your heavy handed new 'terms' is a complete load of crap. I paid for this and it should continue to work even if I don't opt-in to whatever crazy policy you decide to do in the future. I used to recommend sonos to everyone and that will now certainly stop. What would I tell them? Hey here's a great system but it wants to spy on you and if you're not cool with that it'll stop working entirely... I won't buy any more of your products (who knew they were only rented to begin with), you've made a big mistake and it'll show in the market. Moderator Note: Removed Profanity
I recently requested info regarding amp RMS power ratings for each of your speakers, which should include ALL technical specs pertaining to sound. I was told SONOS does not disclose this information!!! I'm nearly beside myself not to mention highly pissed off that a manufacturer chooses NOT to disclose to their customers or potential customers this imperative information!!! Technical specs speaks volume (pun intended) of the quality of material used and sound. I'm preparing to outfit my new 3500+ sq ft home with a new sound system and was considering SONOS but apparently you just lost out on a new customer and probably $3k +/- of business, sorry for you...I'm a Klipsch fan and owner and will go with a manufacturer that has NO problem disclosing this info to the public, good luck.... I'd like to replace my kitchen radio with a sonos player. But there's one thing that is holding me back; I need a phone/tablet to use a sonos player. My radio has hardware buttons and that is a HUGE advantage in a kitchen environment. With 9 fingers messy from preparing food/whatever i can use my one clean finger to press power followed by a channel preset. This is a PAIN as it is today with a sonos system. I know there's buttons on the players, but 1: you cant pick a favorite/playlist, 2: your player(s) might me mounted out of reach. So; a small hardware unit with 3(ish) preset buttons that also powers on the player(s). Volume up/down and a pause/power off button. You could combine preset button long press with power-off/pause to save a button, but the affordance is a bit bad with this approach (it might be to hard for the average user to find out how to use the feature). The unit would have to be setup in the mobile/pc app; what playlist/favorite does each preset button play and wha
I have Pro-Ject RPM 1.3 Gen and a Pro-Ject Stereo Box S Phono. I want to start streaming music via Spotify or Apple Music as well as playing records using RPM 1.3, if I bought the Player 5 would I still use the Stereo Box?
My Play 1's are not working for surround when paired with the playbar. This only occurs when watching TV, when listening to music they sound great - stereo works fine. Does anyone have any advice? I saw that others have had the same issue and have been asked by Sonos to submit a diagnostic so I have also done this. diagnostic is 7727647
In the Sonos App for my Ipad, under the Sub settings is an option to enable placement adjustment. I can't find any information on this, not even in the manual - unless I've overlooked something? Could somebody please give me a semi detailed explanation? Thanks!
Please allow Siri to control Sonos for iPhone/iPad devices.
So I think I'm going to take the plunge and invest in a Sonos setup as our little one is getting to the crawling stage and grabbing at everything within reaching distance lol. I'm thinking less wires the better! I'll pack my Denon/Klipsch 5.1 system away for now until I can dedicate a media room to it. We are currently in an 1100 square foot apartment and our living/kitchen area is somewhat long and narrow. My initial thoughts are to purchase the playbase as it will sit nicely on the mantle (14.5" wide). I would then mount my 55" LED TV above it. Our mantle is a bit high (4') and viewing distance only 10' away so I prefer the lower profile of the playbase vs the playbar as this will enable me to mount the TV as low down as possible. I would then also purchase the sub and 2 play 1's to use as surrounds. This may be over kill for my apartment, and I fully understand it probably won't match my current setup, but not wanting to be disappointed in the sound and wanting a 5.1 exp
Is it possible to check from which shop a sonos play:1 originate from the numbers of the speaker?
hi, I am unable to connect to Tunein. I can play music from my Itunes on Sonos though
Is there a way to get the new Samsung universal remote to control the new sound on the Soundbar. The steps for the F series do not work on the new Samsungs.
I would love to be able to use wireless headphones with Sonos. Is there a way to make this work, or perhaps Sonos is considering developing this?
