Hi everyone, With the 12.1 update to all devices today my Arc + Sub + One SL rears setup is no longer working. The Sonos app can no longer find either of the rear SLs. Rebooting the router, resetting and reinstalling all devices including the Arc will allow it to try to reconnect the rear One SLs but the ‘add surrounds’ feature always bugs out and leaves them paired but unable to be found. Anyone else having this issue and any suggestions?
Hi, We have Crestron TSW-760 touch panels running firmware 2.009.0061 & Sonos apps version 10.6.2. Crestron recently released a webpage stating that this would be the last version of Sonos app for the TSW-x60 line of panels. Crestron has another page suggesting that TSW-x60 will only support S1 & that they have no products that support S2 (“New products supporting S2 coming soon”). Is that your reading of this? Has anyone updated Sonos to S2 & seen what happens on the Crestron screens? Will Crestron break for sure? It looks like it will be a one way move… S2 cannot downgrade to S1, and Crestron has no plans to update the Sonos app so if it doesn’t work with S2, then it’s game over for Crestron to be able to control Sonos. If anyone in our building presses the “Update” button in the Sonos iOS app, then we’re screwed. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
Hi,I’m looking for a bit of help and advice. I am looking to buy a Sonos home theatre system, preferably with the arc or beam as the sound bar, Sonos One (2off) and Sub. I want to be able to connect this to a projector (not currently bought but thinking of an Epson EH-TW650). I was wondering what would be the best way to do this? Is there a Sonos product I could use to connect these? Or will I need an HDMI matrix switch?P.S. I would also be looking to connect a PS5 and Virgin Media box in this set up. All help appreciated.Cheers,Gary
I am a Premium Member of The Jazz Groove. They advised me that they are in discussions with Sonos about adding to Sonos Music Services. How long does this process take? Thank you for reading. The Jazz Groove
I’ve got a question regarding the new eARC feature on the Sonos Arc & a new eARC compatible TV. With these two components it is my understanding that I should be able to achieve Dolby Atmos playback. My main question involves my set up. I’m building a new house now and am in the planning stages of my AV set-up. Can someone please confirm or correct my thoughts here. I’m going to have a eARC compatible TV in my living room with a Sonos Arc connected to it below. I will connect the Sonos ARC to the TV via a eARC compatible HDMI 2.1 cable for my audio. The TV will then be connected to a HDMI splitter in another room; the splitter will be connected to the cable box. The splitter is so I can get the same picture on multiple TV’s in different rooms that I’m not going to be trying to utilize eARC or Dolby Atmos. All other HDMI connections will all be standard ARC compatible 2.0 HDMI’s other than the HDMI 2.1 from the Sonos Arc to the Living room TV. I will also have two Sonos In-Ceiling s
Hi All,in my living room I currently have a Samsung TV and a turntable connected to an old Sony HIFI, both on the same living room furniture. I would like to boost the audio of the Samsung (that’s definitely bad) and at the same time change the old Sony HIFI to have something with Airplay 2, to which I can also connect my turntable. I would like to keep my Sony passive speakers, 50W each, that I like how they sound. What would be the best solution? I am thinking of BEAM (as I cannot afford a bigger one due to size) and AMP, but in the case what would be the best configuration? Would BEAM work by itself when watching TV and the passive speakers be used for audio only, or should it work in any different way? How about when playing music via spotify? Would the amp stream only on the passive speakers, or would beam be involved? I am getting lost :) I cannot move the speakers somewhere else.
Hi all.Been having Sonos since 07..now looking to use some trade ups.Can someone at Sonos tell me WHEN the Arc-bundles are actually going to be available. I'm talking about the Arc, sub and SL's.It keeps being pushed again and again. Is it on purpose to make us "crack" and give in to buying one item at a time?…It's getting ridiculous by now, and I'm sure it's not a surprise to Sonos each time the dates get pushed back. Looking forward to a serious answer.
Hello, My ground floor main room have the Living Room, Kitchen and dining room altogether. I have a Sonos Beam that I am using stand alone with the TV, and I have to Play:1 covering both the Living Room and Kitchen. We often use the 3 of them together when we listen to music, and its a great setup. I was curious to see if I could set up the Play:1 as Surround speaker as well. Although they are a bit far in the back, it would probably make the sound a bit “fuller”…. The question is; if I connect the Play:1 as Surround, do I lose the ability to use them standalone? Thank you for your help!
Is there a reason why when I turn off my tv I have to turn up the volume on the Beam? It's always mute to start with. Similarly it mutes if tv is paused for a while
I'm thinking of changing my existing playbar for the new arc. Given the Playbar is currently over the wallmount tv and we like that arrangement, are there likely to be any problems with using the Arc in that same arrangement? I realise there are the upward facing speaker units, but won't that just mean sound reflects off the ceiling into the room?
I am trying to connect my beam to a new tv but the app keeps saying other devices are connected to the hdmi and are interfering their is nothing else connected how do I fix this tia
Is there a way to export the names of songs/artists on a playlist into word, excel or similar?
I have several Sonos products in my home. None of my devices will connect to my products. This seems to have happened after the last update for my Apple iPhone and iPad. I have talk to support they were supposed to be getting back to me last week and I have not heard back from them
Hi, I consider to buy a Sonos system, but I am not sure if what I want to do is possible.I want to have the sound from my television to a Sonos system without a Soundbar. My idea is to connect my television through the HDMI/ARC port to a Sonos XX box and then stream to wireless Sonos speakers.I also want to be able to stream from Spotify directly to the Sonos Speakers (when not using the Television) What is your opinion, is this somehow possible ? br Kaj DK
My Move cuts out with TV Audio only. This started after the last update. I have reset everything several times. No luck. I have not changed any devices on the network. I submitted a diagnostic. But I don’t see email support anymore.
I have a Play 3 and just purchased a Beam. The Beam works with the TV. The problem is the radio. it works when ‘Group’ed with the Play 3 BUT not all the time! I have gotten it to work on it’s own ungroup’ed playing the radio but only once or twice briefly before connection dropped and it says ‘Unable to connect to Sonos product’. Most of the time when I try to play the radio on the Beam it is unable to connect to Sonos product. Currently both products are in same room, close to router, but my plan is to move the Play 3 but I need to get Beam working properly first. I am guessing the problem is not the Beam but maybe wifi or router related? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
Is there any update on this? I just got the arc and sub gen3. I was watching pacific rim on my 2017 Samsung q7 through the arc with Dolby digital and Dolby digital plus sound and everything I tried was unbearable. It was streaming through Vudu Pacific rim in 4K and Mandalorian on Disney plus. It’s just extremely loud with anything outside dialogue. I had enhanced speech and night mode toggled on which made it a little better, but overall I’m extremely disappointed. I had the sub gen 3 at -2 and the eq on the arc bass at -7. I don’t understand why it gets ridiculously loud during scenes where my ears were fatigued. I thought my cousin and I were going to have a fun binged weekend with this thing but as of now I’m about to send this thing back. Anyone have recommendations?
Are web links (http://*) supported in Music Library external m3u/pls playlists? When I try playing these internet streams, I get “Unable to add songs to the queue”.I have m3u playlists working with local files (on a nas), and the same custom radio stations work from TuneIn, but I would really like to be able to maintain custom internet radio station links (Digitally Imported premium etc) in an external file, instead of the clunky interface for adding radio stations manually one by one in the Sonos controller apps, with no grouping. The playlist files work in other applications, but apparently not on Sonos (S1).I’ve tried searching for this, but couldn’t find any descriptions or problems matching.
Hi Sonos Community! I currently have a 5.1 set up consisting of 2x play 1s as the rear speakers, a sub and a beam. We are in the process of building a new house and planning to make use of some in ceiling Sonos speakers in the other rooms. Do I need to connect my TV set up to an amp or will this connect via the app? My proposed set up is;Lounge - 5.1 as before - 2x play 1s as rear, sub and beam with the addition of 2x in ceiling speakers - will this work? Then in the Kitchen and family room another 4x in ceiling speakers. Many thanks in advance :)
Im trying to find out if a certain record player (Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB) would be able to connect to a sonos play:5. I know that the turntable a preamp has two different output, including USB and RCA’s, but the play:5, which is what I plan on connecting it to, does not have an RCA input, only an AUX. Is there a way to connect RCA to AUX? Will the sound be right? Would something else be better to connect through (Sonos Port or Amp)?
I have multiple Sonos systems.Update to S1 app failed. None of the Sonos systems will work.Unplugged and reconnected all Sonos -- did not resolve Factory reset Sonos systems - did not resolve Reinstalled S1 app - cannot find any Sonos systems Rebooted router (although was functioning fine) - no help.Out of ideas.
Hi all,in my quest to have both Dolby Atmos sound and the best picture quality, I have run into an issue that many others have as well - the lack of DTS support on the Arc. Before buying the Arc, I had a Samsung UBD K8500 connected to an LG OLED B6. With the Arc, I upgraded the TV to an LG C9 in order to utilize the eArc connection and get the best sound I could (I have the Arc paired with a sub and Play Ones for surround). Next up was an upgrade for the BluRay player, and I bought the Panasonic UB820, particularly for it’s DolbyVision support that the Samsung was lacking. What I didn’t realize was that the Panasonic does not decode DTS on the fly, and the majority of my 4K Blu-Rays are in DTS with no Dolby 5.1 track. My current workaround for this is to use my Xbox One X to play blu-rays, but I feel like I am not getting the best picture I can get by not using a dedicated 4K player, and the interface is clunky.Am I overvaluing the importance of DolbyVision and should I just go back the
Hi My Oppo203 is capable of transcoding, is that correct word? DTS to DD 5.1 via optical. Does the Sonos ARC have an optical connection? If it does, to get around no DTS on the ARC would I simply connect the optical from the oppo203 to the Sonos ARC. Thanks
HiI've just set up my new Sonos Beam to work with a Panasonic GX800b. Do I turn the Dolby Atmos setting to off or leave it on just Dolby digital?? Or won't it make a difference. Thanks
We have 2 Sonos move’s but every day the are or OFFLINE, or just while playing just leave the system and go offline or BRIGHT orange light, and won’t go back. Only the MOVE!?!? we have over 12 play one’s and 3, never problems but the move…..
