Need to be able to schedule Night Sound. This feature has been asked for over a long period and needs to be included in a future update.
I'm a die-hard Sonos fan and am in the market for a new bedroom TV in the 55" range. I came here based on feedback that lag problems persist with man sets (TCL, Samsung, LG). Since most of the posts are people seeking help with problems (understandably), my comfort level with the Beam is suffering. My tolerance for lip/sync lag issues is zero so I'm concerned. Any success stories out there with TVs working fine with Beam without having to switch to PCM?
I've seen a post that was over a year old about this so I figured that I would start a new topic. Firstly, I think that Sonos has the best sounding, easy to set up, and easy to use system out there. I have had nothing negative to say until this morning. This morning, when I arrived to work I opened up my Google Play tab and started a playlist. After the first song, it stopped with an error saying: "Can't play music on two devices at once." Dang, I must have forgotten the speaker in my bedroom on and did not hear it on the way out. I am sure that I am not the only one that has had this issue. Apart from being able to solve this issue with the ability to control the system remotely, there are several other reasons why this feature would be great. 1.) Forgot to turn off system before leaving 2.) Left early or gone for vacation but you've not disabled your alarms 3.) You work from home and have to VPN into work, which causes the inability to control Sonos 4.) Remote support, fo
Hi When using turntable to stream across wifi I have to use uncompressed on line in settings, compressed drops out But was wondering does this have an affect on the line out source of the connect I.e turntable into connect , connect into amp Fergin
I have just installed the Hue Sync App on my iMac and can sync the lights to music, video etc playing on the iMac. However I never use my iMac to play music, video etc apart from my iTunes Library which is played via sonos. Is there and Applet on IFTTT or maybe a skill on Alexa that can do the same a Hue Sync?
Bought a Beam, Sub and Two sonos Ones today. The Beam is loud and crystal clear. I was worried it was going to be not powerful enough. The sound with the Sub and Beam alone is incredible. The clarity for music is amazing. It has a fuller field than my Denon Receiver, 3 Orbs and sub. I hooked it up to my older Sony Bravia 46” LCD TV via HDMI Arc tried out Netflix via chromecast into one of the HDMI ports on the TV. I think it’s coming through in stereo based on the Netflix app telling me the movies are in stereo. Still sounds good so I am not sure what I am actually getting. I think once I move this to the basement with my new TV and native Netflix app it may be even better-not sure though-I am not very techy. The two Sonos One’s I have upstairs as a separate room for now. Different music in each room is amazing flexibility. Overall very happy with what I have bought so far and the setup was awesome/easy. I find home theatre/receivers too complicated and appreciate the Sonos so
Added a SUB to my PLAYBAR and don't think it really adds much improvement. The Playbar is great. It is quite enjoyable as it is. With the SUB on sale, I picked one up but I really don't see it as a MUST HAVE addition. It is set up correctly. I don't hear $600 noticeable enhancement for watching TV or listening to Music. Anybody else feel the same way???
A Sonos customer suggested: " Sonos controller app to be able to search function with in a Sonos playlist. " Show your support on this thread.
I’ve just bought a sonos beam and connected to my Samsung tv (model ue40es6710). The hdmi cable is in the ARC socket as advised but the tv will not allo me to select Dolby in the sound settings meaning it won’t change from PCM. My beam therefore only receives stereo. Pretty frustrating so is there a work around? Only other hdmi connections are for my sky box and my Samsung blue ray player. Any help would be appreciated.
New Connect product with Airplay introduced or will there be a software update?
I have a very high 18' cathedral ceiling and thinking of placing the sub on a ledge 14' x 3' deep up. I have an outlet up there but before I get the ladder, has anybody had the "high base" experience to share.
TV connected to Playbar and surround speakers. How do you get the TV audio to play over other Play1's in other rooms? It seems like I can only get music to play not the TV audio.

I recently purchased Sonos and Netgear Orbi. I had a sonos play:1 hooked up wirelessly via my airport extreme for a few days and it worked flawlessly. Once I received my Orbi, I hooked up my connect and wired to one of the orbi satellites. Since then I've had issues with sonos. I believe at least one orbi satellite is defective as it is creating all kinds of issues. I've also found this topic on netgear forums: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/SONOS-Compatability-with-Orbi/m-p/1183437/highlight/false#M1644 Anything I can do to test/prove this? I'm happy to try another Wifi product if orbi is the problem, but I'd rather not do a return re-purchase cycle unless I'm sure Sonos has problems with Orbi. I'm thinking eero or google wifi (already ordered a google wifi for my mom for christmas and she is also getting sonos so we will see how that goes). FYI: I love Sonos, I will try eero and google wifi and maybe luma before giving up Sonos. 😉 However, as a technology w
Currently I have a samsung qled 4K 75 inch tv with a Sonos beam and sub. Pros- I like being able to control my sound with tv remote and I don’t use Alexa. Cons-The sound is great don’t get me wrong, just doesn’t give the theater experience I hear with the play bar. So my question is should I exchange my beam for the playbar and sub and would I still be able to just use my tv remote or should I keep the beam and sub and add a couple smaller speakers???? My goal is to get more true surround sound quality.
Setting up Sonos with the AT&T Uverse network after a move. Since doing so, TV will freeze, network will shut down, phones won't connect to wifi/internet. AT&T Techs have, essentially, reinstalled our network and checked their equipment. No issues found. One mentioned hearing of others having connection challenges with Sonos and AT&T. Does this ring true out there?
Hello - The speaker terminal port of my connect:amp broke off this past weekend. I can replace it on my own (I have experience building amplifiers) but I do not know how to disassemble the connect:amp housing. I cannot locate any screws on the bottom of the unit. Can anyone provide a guide or set of instructions to open the amp housing, without damaging? Thanks! ABaur
I use Spotify but prefer a lot of things about the Sonos app (I use Windows 7 and desktop controller)--like the fact that it only has one queue. Unfortunately, Spotify integration with Sonos is poor, but I might live with that except for one thing. I use the "play/pause" button on my keyboard to turn on and off the music. For Windows Media Player, the old Zune/Groove apps, and the Spotify app, it works as expected--when I hit pause, it pauses, and the app doesn't have to have focus. But the Sonos desktop controller doesn't handle that keypress unless it's the foreground app. I'm a programmer, so I know when you say "it's only software" that doesn't mean it's easy... but this is so small I wish they would fix it!
I own 8 sonos speakers and 2 of them are 5s. One just died on me last week. I spoke to a service rep at Sonos to learn that I have a « deal » on a replacement unit at $550 to replace my 3 year old speaker. Frankly, this is very disappointing and frustrating. I paid over $500 for this speaker already. I am not willing to spend another $500 to replace after just 3 years. What happens if my second 5 also breaks down. The different forums indicate a problem that is quite common on this speaker. What can I do. RMA 00548098-00073640
I have recently established a fiber connection through the Danish provider Waoo. The fiber is great and stable. However, I often find that my Play5s (gen. 2) drop out of the Sonos network. I have to install the speaker again, which feels ridiculous. I was therefore thinking that perhaps a Sonos Boost might help. BUT I want to make sure that I can connect the Boost to an AirTies 4920. Any one who knows?
Hi. I just bought a Sonos Connect and have it setup to work with Integra DRX4.2. Works great - turns on the system and I can control the volume from the app. However when I finish listening, I normally press Pause on my other Sonos speakers (Play5s, Play3s etc). I don't think there's a stop function right? My question, is there a way stop the music and turn off the Integra receiver? Otherwise I can stop the music but then have to manually go to my receiver to turn it off. Thanks.
Not sure when this happened but last night I tried playing some music from my Sonos favorites (sourced from Amazon) and it wouldn't play. Gave the error "Requested operation failed. Please try again". I went under settings and services to remove and reauth my Amazon account but that didn't fix it. What else can I do?
In the app, if you submit a diagnostic report, it should ask you if you want to also create a support ticket. I usually do one after the other anyways.
I have a very nice 5.1 surround system which I use for watching movies in my man cave. I entertain there - often. When entertaining I will usually play music via Apple TV streaming from the collection on my server. (I even have some of my favorite commercials, MTV promos, and clips of VJs from the 80s.) I often also will cast videos from my iPad to the Apple TV (like when we are doing Karaoke - and for Karaoke I run the audio out the headphone jacks and through a PA instead of my 5.1 speakers) My parties often spill out onto my patio. I would like to be able to set speakers out there that can carry the music outside. I tried using bluetooth, but the Apple TV makes me choose between HDMI to the receiver or bluetooth - never both at once. I am suspecting that Sonos may be the way to do it, but I am concerned that if I try using Sonos with my Apple TV (or a replacement receiver) that it will be the same problem that I have with bluetooth; always be an either/or - never both.
Just got my new lovely Beam connected to my Samsung TV but rather than displaying numbers when adjusting volume all you get is ‘Receiver HDMI’ with a + or - . For me this is no problem but for our autistic daughter it’s a huge impact because she needs visual markers when she’s watching a screen - it’s part of her systems and regulation. I’m really hoping there’s a fix or something I’m missing!
