Connected my Beam to a new TV using Arc connection as suggested by Sonos app. Set up my Sky remote ok and all seemed good . Sound Bar works as does the remote . But the sound will randomly increase or sometimes decrease of its own accord - normally at a crucial moment in a film . Any suggestions how i can resolve this issue please ?
My sonos beam was working quite happily with my Samsung tv via hdmi arc. It has now stopped. When you turn on the tv there is no sound and the sonos app says there are no external speakers connected. The speaker is connected via the supplied hdmi cable. It is also responding to voice commands including using the radio but not the TV. This is what I’ve tried so far:1. Turn tv off for several minutes2. Disconnect all hdmi devices 3. Reboot beam4. Reboot router Anyone help?
hi, I have a Sony Bravia KD-49XE8077, which has dolby digital plus output set - however I am not receiving Atmos via the inbuilt Netflix, Disney plus apps etc? Has anyone else had this issue and able to help please? Cheers
Hi I am buying a sonos beam now in the balck friday for a small living room. I would like to know your opinion if it worth it to buyl 2 rear/sorround speakers to enhace the sound? The living room is small so not need to have that many speakers in there unless the experience is much better (beam plus two one). Do you believe that the sound quality and lisining experience imrpove a lot when adding to speakers to the beam to justify the extra cost in a small living room? Thanks in advance
im about to buy a turntable to connect to my sonos system, i own a play 3 and a connect amp. only problem with the connect amp is that its in a central cupboard in the house and wouldn't be able to wire connect to the turntable. Can i buy a gen 1 connect to be able to get the turntable playing through my current system? Would i need to have the S1 app to do this?.
New Sonos amp not playing sound from new Samsung TV despite the app seeing the TV and the TV seeing the amp. Any ideas how to resolve?
Je constate que les enceintes move sont moins chères en Espagne. Est ce les mêmes produits?En France je trouve ces enceintes de 359 à 399 € et en Espagne je trouve 339 €Merci de vos réponses.
I have several Sonos products including a pair of Play 1s with which I am happy. If I want to include voice control what do I have to do ?
Hi everyone! Please some help and advise.until today I had this system: my iPad was connected to the Apple tv that I connected both to my projector (quite old and with a lot of cables) and my Sonos bar (cable fiber between Apple TV and the Sonos bar). Today by mistake I broke the very fragile entry of the fiber in the Sonos.I have another Sonos product, do you think I could use it instead (small one) i would like to replace the entry of the fiber is it possible I’m looking for a simpler system what could you advise please
TLDR - Arcana is an awesome device that fixed a major sound issue, as well as Atmos TrueHD.My previous setup - Nvidia Shield TV → Samsung Q9FN TV standard HDMI input. Sonos Arc to Q9FN HDMI ARC port.I had been having continual issues with no sound playing when I switched apps on the Shield. I had to force quit and restart the app to get sound again. My current setup: Nvidia Shield TV → Arcana input. eARC from Arcana to Sonos Arc, HDMI from Arcana to Q9FN.Arcana setup consisted of connecting the cables and power cycling devices a couple of times. TrueHD Atmos from Kodi works fine, as well as DD+ Atmos from the streaming apps. My Shield remote continues to control both the TV and the Sonos Arc, no reconfiguration needed. After 2 days, the sound problem never appeared once. Under the hood, the whole HDMI / CEC / HDCP / eARC world is a huge Charlie Foxtrot. It’s a wonder any of it works reliably :)I believe that the HDFury folks know more about that world than any other major company. Kudos
Looking for a solution to automatically turn on my Denon AVR-X3200Wwhen the Sonos Port starts playing. My AVR has a 12v trigger out (which isn’t what I want) and a remote IR In/Out. The Port only sends a 12V “On” signal, as I understand it, so the IR In wouldn’t work either. Are there any other options? I tried setting up something through IFTTT utilizing my harmony remote but the Sonos IFTTT doesn’t work as a trigger. Has anyone gotten something to work?
Unfortunately, my Samsung TV does not pass 5.1 surround signals through the HDMI Arc, unless it’s from the TV’s native sound. In other words, any signal from the Fire TV or the set-top box will be downgraded to PCM stereo. Is there an easy fix for this?
Hey all. I have a 2020 Vizio V-Series (V585-H11) that has eARC, a Sonos ARC, and a 16” 2020 model year Macbook Pro. My question is: has anyone been able to output Dolby Atmos (and Vision) content from a MBP to their tv using a usb-c to HDMI adapter? And if so, which exact adapter did you use?
Has the invoice been sent to my credit card
I currently have a Sonos Soundbar with sub and Connect Amp powering two built-in speakers for surround sound. I would like to upgrade to the Sonos Arc, but have read in some forums that Connect Amp cannot run surround sound with the Sonos Arc, and I must also upgrade to the newer Sonos Amp. Is that correct or will my older Connect Amp power my surround speakers? Thank you!
Hello, I have two Sonos One & one Sonos Play:5 and Sonos Beam in living room. I would like to use these speakers for my home party. The sound will come from my Native Instruments Traktor S4, but my question is – which device do I need to buy to connect Traktor S4 mixer into Sonos sound system? Do I need Sonos AMP, or Connect? Or something other? Master sound will go to the Sonos system in the living room + cue sound will go from mixer to the headpones.
So I own 4 play:1 for a couple of years now and this always happened. I’m trying to figure out if it’s fixable because I’m considering the addition of the Sonos Move to the set-up. Problem is simple : I get the message that the app cannot connect to the sonos product at any random moment. I get the message when the music is actually playing and let’s say I want to change the song, or just pause it for some reason. I thought it was my phone that was getting old, but then I still get the message after an upgrade to an iPhone 11. However, I do not encounter that issue with my wife’s Samsung Galaxy S10 (is there a known issue with IOS?). That brings me to think that it is not an network/wifi problem. This problem prevented me to get the Beam and before looking elsewhere for a Sonos Move equivalant, I figured I could ask here. I’m one of those who actually like the Sonos App and the combination of all my streaming services. Also, I don’t mind the price tag of the Move, but at this price
OK, why isn’t TIDAL available as a music service to select in the SONOS2 app? What’s going on between SONOS and Tidal, I am so confused. I just signed up for the TIDAL $2.00 service for 90 days at the high end sound service and I can’t access SONOS through their application via iPhone, iPad, Apple MacBook Pro, nada…...help!
I ordered an Arc and sub unit on 10/21/20 still on back order with no update or communication. How much longer am I looking before I get my order??
Hi,I’m renovating my den and I’m putting in the Sonos Arc, amp, and 2 in ceiling speakers. I’d like to have the Sonos sub as well but I can’t leave it out and visible so I need to hide it somehow. I have a section of the wall in the corner of the room on same side as TV that is deep enough that I think I can create a wall cavity, put the amp in there, and then put a speaker grille in front. Do you think that will sound good? decent way to “hide” the sub? Thanks!
Hi,I will send the below text to Philips, but I would like to check with the Sonos users here to confirm if the below will work and how they have set up their configuration. Any comments based on experience would be greatly appreciated.Regards,MIBUKBefore I buy the Hue HDMI Sync box with the Hue gradient light strip for my TV, I have 2 questions. Hopefully, you can answer them.“1. I have a Sony X950G TV which supports Dolby Atmos, HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision. It’s connected to a Sonos Playbar which is connected to the TV via an optical cable. I have an Apple TV 4 4K, Nintendo Switch, a TIVO cable box and PS3 connected to the TV via HDMI. 2. The only change I plan to make in the near future, is to upgrade the Playbar to the Sonos Arc, which receives sound from the Sony TV’s HDMI eArc port. Can you confirm that the above two setups will work with the Philips HDMI Sync box and gradient light strip in terms of video and sound? Also, the HDMI cables all work, but is there a minimum standard
I have a large .mp3 library. Search works for normal kind of album, an album by a single artist works fine. There I use the Artist for the “Album Artist” Tag and the Artist in the “Artist” Tag. This works well when there is a song on the album featuring another Artist, I use the Artist and add the Featuring artist in the Artist. The problem is a compilation like the 2019 Grammy Album; “Album Artist” tag is “Various Artists” and I use the Artist singing the song in the “Artist” tag. So, the song is listed under “Album Artist” and not Artist making that Artist unfindable if I don’t have an album by the artist. When I look at the song info, it shows the “artist” as the Artist, not “Various Artist. Frustrating, Can’t be sure, but I think the search was working in Sonos V1 and stopped working in Sonos V2. I deleted the index and rebuilt it to no avail. Not sure what else to try.

Hello All, I am adding a TV to a room about 12x12 in size. It will be an occasional use room mostly for sports. I am trying to decide between going with the Beam + Play 5 or just the Arc. Keep in mind, I already have a Play 5 that is not being used. So just trying to put together good quality sound but don't want to overdue it.Any thoughts? Thanks!!
