Along with or Instead of the current charging base option that is all one connected piece. The Sonos Move should have an extra option for purchase that receives power via USB type C and an accompanying 45 watt USB-C PD charging block (as they recommend, also preferably detachable form the cord). Type C to Type C cord preferably for future proofing. This would help stream line the product as it can be charged via the USB type C when being transported or use on the go. This was almost a deal breaker for me when trying to decide between the Sonos Move and the Bose Portable Home Speaker. As the Bose PHS has a type C charging base and can easily be charged with an ordinary android or apple type c charger
Is it possible to add a light indicator somewhere on the Beam to show the current volume level? Many TV’s do not show the current volume even when using ARC. They just show +/- when adjusting volume. It’s super annoying having to look at the app to see what the volume level is. Other soundbars will show a light indicator bar when you press volume +/-, then it fades out after a few seconds.
I’m in the process of building an outdoor kitchen and have selected the Furrion Aurora - Full Shade Series 65-Inch Weatherproof 4K Ultra-High Definition LED Outdoor Television with Auto-Brightness Control for Outdoor Entertainment - FDUF65CBR. I’m wanting to pair this up with the Arc. I read through so much of the forum but really can’t see anything that helps me understand if they are compatible? My second question(s)… once an Arc is connected to the TV… a) will what I play on the TV now be able to be broadcast throughout my Sonos system?b) can I play music through the arc like any other speaker in my Sonos system if the TV is turned off? c) most of my equipment is only S1 compatible and I want to slowly upgrade. Is it realistic to think I can start with all of my outdoor equipment on S2 and my indoor on S1 and not have control and conflicts with the apps and music services?d) what else should I be concerned about? Thanks for any insight! jhawk635
Anyone know if Microsoft store actually has these in stock or what? Ordered one on there and it says delivery 01/21/2021 so im hoping it is true.
I cannot connect to Sonos airplay service even though its there in the airplay menu. I am using 2 iphone and 1 ipad (all iOS 14.2), 2 macbook pro (both macOS Catalina), all of them are unable to connect.I tried doing factory reset on both sonos one, reset the router (Xiaomi wireless router 4A). My confirmation number is: 1021936513.Both Sonos one version are 12.2.1 (build 61183170)Any advices? Thanks.
I am planning to set it on top of a media cabinet that has a somewhat heat sensitive finish. I want to see if this device typically would run hot, or if I should definitely plan on mounting it to the wall.

He recibido un correo de SONOS que me aconsejan seis emisoras, el problema es que no encuentro ninguna de ellas en el buscador de emisoras
Hi,I’ve got a 30% trade-up discount on my account but cannot decide what to buy. If I buy say a Sonos Five and decide to return it within the trial period, will my discount be restored so I can use it against something else or will I lose the discount?
I know this has been covered before but I wondered if anyone is still experiencing this problem…My Beam occasionally (on average 5 or 6 times per month I'd say) starts to buzz quite loudly, all of a sudden, when watching TV (usually YouTube when the kids are watching, maybe Netflix too, I haven't made notes though). Doesn't happen when playing music via Spotify. You can still hear the TV sound, but it's overlaid by this loud buzzing, a bit like there's a loud motorcycle in the distance outside my house.Sometimes it can be stopped by switching to another 'channel' eg from YouTube to Disney+. Most times all that will stop it is unplug the Beam then plug back in again.Beam is connected to Samsung TV with HDMI ARC.I have a sub and 2 Play 1's as surrounds in addition to the Beam.Have been talking to Sonos about this issue since SEPTEMBER. Back then on their advice I reset the system, which made no difference, the noise came back.Since then Sonos are refusing to accept there's a problem, th
Okay Sonos Community I want you to let Sonos know that as a home owner that has one dedicated room where I have a home theater set up as well as enjoy listening to audiophile quality sound I am having a real hard time with all of the Sonos line in order to get the sound I want. I either have an excellent home theater system with the Arc, Sub (or even two Subs), and Ones (or Fives) or I have a great music system with the Fives and Sub (or two Subs). The Amp and Port are no goes as I do not fine them that great when it comes to their DAC (sound is too bright at higher volumes) when it goes to my Dynaudio tower speakers. Yes the Amp and Port are good in their specific uses but not in a music room (my opinion only). My perfect world would be a Sonos Center (center channel) that would support the entire home theater system while allowing someone to not use it or the surrounds when they just want to listen to music.Perfect set up:Sonos Fives for left and right front channels.Sonos Center (
I ordered a new Arc just before Christmas and I had to give a credit card at that time but it wasn’t charge yet as it’s still on backorder. I wanted to change to another credit card but I couldn’t find anywhere to do this so I emailed Sonos. They told me I would have to cancel my order and start all over again. Seems crazy that I can’t simply change payment methods and by cancelling my order I would probably go to the back of the line when I reorder. What happens if you lose your credit card and a new one is issued? Does it mean Sonos won’t fulfill your order and just cancel it when they try to charge your credit card and it doesn’t go through? Anyone know the reason why Sonos is doing it this way?
Hi. I had a power cut for thirty minutes. After it came back on my two play fives and one sub had disconnected from each other and are no longer displaying the trueplay icon in the app, even when rejoined. They have been previously set up for trueplay. All other speakers in my setup are showing their icons as usual and behaving as they previously did. I have another sub with my arc and that is fine. Any ideas as I want to reset with trueplay but have no option to do so. Thanks
Hello everyone, i have two Sonos One SL in different rooms. They work fine. The problem is that i cannot control them with Siri nor with the Home app. It shows the following message „Controls unavailable for this device.” Now, i have done a reset to all devices including the router and reconnected everything again. Still the same error. All devices have the latest updates. Does anybody know some secret settings i‘m missing somewhere? Best regards, Irfan.
Dear community, as many customers were quite upset with how SONOS is developing both ignoring customers and global warming by producing extra waste I was wondering if you had come across a better solution for a multiroom speaker system. I guess, the most sustainable system would be based on bluetooth? What do you think?
I bought Sonos 5 in Dec, it was shipped on Dec 8th and I received it on 12th Dec.Now I am trying to return it. When I call customer support in USA it says in the voice prompt that Sales and Fulfilment is not available. It goes to Technical Support. They transfer internally and I have been on hold for 1 hour twice (two hours in total) and no one answers.I will anyways never buy anything online or directly from Sonos. I han having a terrible Customer Service experience.Request Sonos support to contact me immediately, my order number is 102423232. Please contact and let me know.I am also leaving this conversation as trace of proof that I want to return the Sonos 5 - it has not even been 40 days and the product should be eligible to return as per this page. https://www.sonos.com/en-us/legal/terms?#return-policy
It says if I use Sonos amp with a wired sub along with 4 wire ceiling speakers for home theater for my TV the SUB would not work. Why is that?If I use the Sonos Wireless sub instead, then can I would it work for my TV home theater along with the 4 ceiling speakers?
Hi,my app constantly loses connection to the app. It won’t log onto it meaning I can’t play music on my system, or if I’m lucky enough to be able to play music then it disconnects so I can’t change track or volume, rendering my expensive system completely useless. You will come back to me and blame my wifi I’m sure, however nothing else drops out as much as Sonos… it’s happening very often now.please can someone help? if it is WiFi… then would a Sonos boost help? thank you
I’d really like to see this feature come to AMP. The fact that it is possible for the same speakers as surrounds means it should be possible for the same speakers as mains. I get Sonos wants ppl to purchase their own speakers but this isn’t always feasible. It would be a great differentiator if this feature was added.
If the extra licensing costs are the biggest roadblock for adding support for DTS, I’d like the option of the user just paying for the additional license fee costs to enable DTS support. Being able to use the Arc sound system with already owned movies or TV shows that have DTS audio tracks would be ideal.
Bit of a wierd one. I have a few Sonos playlists I’ve created. I want to play the playlist. Normally on my Android (S2) app I navigate to the ‘My Sonos’ page where I can see ‘Recently Played’, ‘Playlists’ and ‘Stations’ . The playlist I want to play is under the ‘Playlists’ section.A couple of times recently the ‘Playlists’ section has just disappeared. Not sure how many times but previously restarting the app or going away coming back the section reappears. This morning it didn’t. So I just had the ‘Recently Played’ and ‘Stations’ sections. Tried on my wife’s phone - same issue. I just couldn’t find a way to find and play the playlist. I tried the ‘edit’ on the My Sonos page but it didn’t offer me any option to add or remove the Playlist section just the Recently Played and Stations. In the end I started the Windows app on my PC. Selected the playlist under the Sonos Playlist section. It played. The ‘Playlists’ section miraculously appeared back on the My Sonos part of my Android app!!A
I have another Play 1 that I want to add to my system of 3 existing Play 1s. I am currently unable to do this without upgrading to S2. From the S1 App System>Add New Hardware > Recommended Upgrade to S2 (no option to bypass). Given all of the horror stories that I have read about the flakiness of the S2 launch, I want to wait a few months to let Sonos get the bugs out before upgrading. I have no desire to have to spend hours with tech support or fiddling with something that is already working. Is there a workaround for this? If not, this goes against what Sonos has promised by allowing users to keep their existing systems on S1.
I am watching Yellowstone. I have Arc and Subwoofer Gen3. I have audio enhancement on. I have True Tuned. I have a new Sony x950h tv with Earc. Dialogue is terrible. Can’t hear it. Turned up to 54. Then all the other sound effects are really too loud then. 52319246 that is the number from where I sent in a diagnostic. How do you get the dialogue better Add a speaker if so which Sonos?please help!!
Let me start off by saying after reading all the reviews on sonos arc and bose 700, I opted for the Sonos. I don't understand how people can say the Arc is outstanding. Its not much different from a $300 sound bar. Please note my technical skills are above average. It took 3 attempts to follow simple instruction to get the Arc setup. Each time it had me unplug the power and try again. OMG. This is what you get for 8 bills. What a shame. Then the autoplay does not resort back to tv audio after playing music. People say , simply click the musical note and tap TV. Sure that works, but who carries there phone around the house with them when your over 50. Why even claim to have an autoplay function when it doesn't work. Today I had a Bose 700 sub delivered and the sound bar won't arrive for 5 more days. Lets see how Dolby Atmos, top firing speakers and an ugly to look at sound bar can compare to the Bose 700. I will; keep you posted. Please Note the top firing speakers do absolutely nothing
I have a samsung QN49Q70RA tv connected to Sonos beam for volume via HDMI4 (ARC) connection and the volume does not work. I’ve tried many of the suggestions of others and it still does not work. Can you please let me know a set of steps to allow us to hear the volume with the beam set up
