Sonos volume not working with Samsung TV

I have a samsung QN49Q70RA tv connected to Sonos beam for volume via HDMI4 (ARC) connection and the volume does not work.  I’ve tried many of the suggestions of others and it still does not work. Can you please let me know a set of steps to allow us to hear the volume with the beam set up

Hi @Fmoore 

Have you selected HDMI-ARC as the output for sound in the Samsung TV menu and deselected the TV’s internal speakers?

Check your connections and make sure they are secure.

If you did I suggest you factory reset the Beam and follow the steps again.  Let us know how things sort out.

That still did not work.  Other ideas?

@Fmoore When you say the volume does not work, do you mean you cannot control the volume from your TV’s remote control?

The volume does not come thru sonos and I cannot control with TV remote.  The volume only works thru TV and not thru sonos.

Did you turn on Anynet+ on your TV before you connected the HDMI cable from your Beam to the TV?
