Hi All,Does anyone know of a way to have the doorbell sound come out of sonos speakers when using a Netatmo Smart Video Doorbell? (Connected to Apple home kit.)Thanks
I recently purchased a Kogan 65”4K UHD LED smart Android TV (Series 9, XU9210).I managed to connect the remote to the Sonos playbar, only when the TV is off. When I turn the TV on the remote control volume up and down only works on the TV speaker not the Sonos Playbar.Does anyone have a solution for this?It all worked fine previously with a Samsung TV.Cheers
Purchased new Samsung Frame TV 55” (2020) along with Sonos Beam for my parents who needed entertainment upgrades. The Beam would not connect to the Frame TV using HDMI-ARC. Every attempt was met with the Sonos App telling me to turn on CEC on the TV. I checked multiple times and CEC was turned on in the Samsung TV settings. I tried using a different HDMI cable and the Beam would not detect the TV at all. Attempted again using the Sonos supplied HDMI cable and again, it could detect the TV but not that CEC was turned on in the TV. Very frustrating since before installation I tried using the Beam with my 2017 LG OLED tv without any issues when connecting via HDMI-ARC. Why should a tv that’s three years newer not be able to connect via HDMI-Arc but a three year old tv can? I resorted to using the optical adapter but this is less than ideal as there is a loss of functionality. In addition, the Beam cannot be placed below the tv as expected due to logistical issues of connecting it to the
I am looking for a stand alone CD ripper, player, storage (4 TB+), and FM Tuner that will work with wireless speakers (Sonos) in a two zone environment. I do not want to have to maintain a separate hi fi system. In the past I used a computer with an external drive and a music program (initially Windows Media Center which was great), then Media Monkey), but have had to replace computes as the software has grown old and gone unsupported (Windows Media Center Edition, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 10). I have over 5,000 CDs I want to burn/rip, then back up and then dispose of. Don’t want to have to do againI am not a super audiophile. But I do want great sound coupled with wireless convenience and system simplicity. I do not use nor do I want to use a voice based system like Alexa, etc. Being able to also link the speakers to my smart tv would be great.I looked at Brennan B2, but capacity is too limited. Considering Cocktail Audio X35, but is a lot of money and at the upper end of what I thin
I’m using a speakercraft multrppm amp along with a connect and bridge. My bridge has stopped working, completely dead. When I try to locate my Sonos system it can’t locate it. It’s an old connect, do I need to replace and if so with what? I know I will eventually have to replace the speakercraft amp (11 years old) so is there something I can use now that will be compatible with current setup and then be used with possibly the Sonos AMP, whenever I eventually have to replace the Speakercraft AMP? Thanks
I am once again asking if there is anyway to sort folders in the music library independently? For my podcasts I want it sorted by name, for music by song number. I asked this question a year ago. Others have asked for this earlier. I’m still using S1...is this any different in the new controller? If not, all I can say is this is really bad that something like this hasn’t been implemented.
I ma new wtih the Beam and I did read somewhere that it is important for a good sound that the beam plays 1.5. In the app you can check if it is in 5.1. or stereo. At this moment it is in stereo mode and not 5.1.I have the beam connected with the HDMI (arc) on a LG tv.Q: how do i get 5.1. sound from the beam?
Hello Sonos and user! I have a Sonos Amp as home theatre system. It sound great in stereo but the voices are some time too low and sound effect too high. I need to adjust the volume to hear the dialog and to keep the sound effect on a bearable level. I have been playing around with the eq, dialogue enchantment button, night mode, max level, surround settings but it don’t solve the problem. The sound is really magnificent but I find the Voices are actual easier to hear from the tv speakers. I have B&W cdm1 se as front speakers, 2xOne as surrounds and no Sub. The cdm1 are about 20 years old and are precursor to B&w 706 2s. I use Nexflix and Viaplay to streaming movies. Tv Samsung 49q7 Is it possible to raise the centre channel level to enhance the dialog? Or any thing else I can do? Change front speakers? Or should I lock else where for the tv sound? Sonos Arc? /Johan
Apologies if this has been asked before but I have a new Samsung tv the does not have an Optical out so I bought a converter box to convert HDMI to optical for my Sonos Playbar. I’ve been in this for days now with no luck. Can anyone help. I have used HDMI (arc) then HDMI 1 ???
According to support.sonos.com, in the ‘My Music’ tab of the Sonos app you can “Listen to all the music you already own and love, and browse over 30 million songs in the Apple Music catalog.” I am yet to figure out how you can ‘browse’ the Apple Music catalogue (short of downloading them all into your own library beforehand!). Does anybody know how this is possible? Thanks.
Hello Sonos TeamI recently bought two move speakers to use as surrounds with a Beam for my covid friendly outdoor movie setup. I did this before reading or searching to see if it was possible. I assumed it was and ordered away. I now know it is not possible. Any chance this Moves will be able to sync with Beam/Arc in the future? Not to distant future. Maybe also something on the product page that says that this is not possible.Victor
I have a Sonos beam and sub connected to my TV, plus a mix of One SLs and Symfonisks in other rooms. I notice that when I group my kitchen speakers with the Beam and Sub for TV watching, the kitchen is delayed slightly, creating an very slight echo. I have already reduced the latency on the system to 70ms. I would love to be able to introduce a slight delay (30ms?) to the TV so that the Beam and Sub could be in perfect sync with the Kitchen speakers. I understand that this would affect lip sync on the Beam with the TV, but I am willing to accept this. I think it would be a great option.
Why are arc entertainment sets constantly out of stock ?, when ever I try to order one of the arc sub one SL sets it can never be bought and hasn’t notified me of it ever being in stock. come on SonoS do you want to sell these products or not?
Anyone know why, after I hide the “Recently Played” section in my app it will reappear a few days later? (Likewise, sometimes the My Sonos items get re-arranged). You’d think these settings would be stored to remain consistent and to be re-applied after any major app updated. Anyone else see this?Any ideas?
Was getting crackling sound while connecting my SONOS connect to the amplifier using RCA cables. Changed the cable to Optical wire, now no hissing or static sound. DIY solution!
I do most of my listening (to classical, mostly) in my very cozy den (about 9 feet x 9 feet, with a low, painted wood beam ceiling (about 6 1/2 ft.), with spaced beams coming down 4 inches from the ceiling--TMI, I suppose, but I suspect these help the acoustics quite a bit). Anyway, I have a Sonos One and love it. It is certainly loud enough for the room. But I've always wanted a really nice stereo and have never quite been able to afford one... So, my question is, if I want to upgrade, should I be reasonable and just get a second One, or would a Five blow me away? (I have an eager prospective recipient if I decide to pass along my current One--in fact, that would essentially reduce the added cost of the Five because the One would be such a nice present.) Would the sound quality and bass be worth it even if I don't need the volume? Or would the stereo separation of two Ones be the way to go?
I just signed up for the Sonos Radio HD service. When I go to browse the Sonos Radio music service there has been no change and I can't see any of the HD radio stations. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My whole system has been upgraded to S2 and my Sonos account is based in the UK. Thanks.
The brand new Sonos Port has inferior connectivity compared to the old Connect. It’s beyond me why you have removed the Toslink / Optical out from an integration product? What I’ve heard, though, is that it’s because this product is normally used by “integrators” - i.e. pro installers - and they can customize coax cables on site.To that I can only say:Pro installers aside, this is just no reason to not supply the Toslink side-by-side the coax as was the case in the Connect product in case a home user is installing the product - or an installer for that matter - finding the Toslink a better choice for some odd reason. A Toslink output path really can’t cost much more than next to nothing and certainly not taking the price of the product into account.I have a pair of very nice active Dynaudio Xeo speakers with only Toslink in (well RCA too, but don’t want to use that). If I want to use the Port, I am left with the choice of either using the analogue RCA - completely forgoing the reason I bo
Feature Request: Display the list of playlists in music services’ Libraries alphabetically. There currently is no way to change the display order of music playlists (for Spotify and Youtube Music, at least). That’s pretty terrible - the SMAPI spec does not require any particular ordering from the service, nor does it allow the app to specify an order, so it’s basically luck of the draw. I expect some services to return data alphabetically, others by most recently or frequently played, yet others completely unsorted (“hash order”, as it were). For search results, I expect Sonos to respect the returned order, assuming that the service will be attempting to return the best match first. For a generic getMetadata response, the expectation is clearly invalid, and, consistency between services aside, it’s a terrible browsing experience. The SMAPI spec doesn’t support additional data such as recency or play count, so sorting by those in the app isn’t an option. Fine. But “alphabetically by title”
Hello,I am coming to you for advice on a stand for Sonos One SL speakers.I visited different brands and my attention turned in particular to Sanus & Flexson. I'd love to hear your opinion on this to see which one you think is the best, given the relatively similar price tag. However, I see that there is no stand that allows the speaker to tilt towards our ears, which is rather a shame I think. They are only visibly adjustable in height. In addition, I have a small space between the sofa and the wall and unfortunately I cannot move the sofa. Indeed, I have only 10 inches between the sofa and the wall. This is why I must also take this into account in my choice. The ideal would be to find a stand that places the speaker as close to the wall as possible without the support leg making me lose too much space between the wall and the speaker.Thank you for your advices !
I hear a lot of people around who are interested in a sonos sub, but don't buy it because it is glossy black. This is the same for me. I already own sonos one's en arc and would like to add a sub.Is there a possibility to order a black matte sub and import it as an alternative?I think the demand for a matte black sub is huge!
Hi-I own a receiver and a Connect (which powers two non-sonos in-ceiling speakers).I would like to allow the speakers to be able to play sound from both the receiver AND from wirelessly (via Connect)...depending on what source is providing the sound. Is there a way to wire for this? TIA
Is there no landscape mode for sonos S1 iPhone app?
I would like to turn off trueplay nag in settings on my appI dont use trueplay and never will
