Hi there, a really annoying problem: Got my Arc Ultra set up, eArc to HDMI, 2 Era 300 as rears and planning on buying a Sub 4 once the pain in my purse goes away.There are 2 content suppliers connected to the TV, an LG OLED65CS9LA: an Apple TV (latest model) and a PS5. Problem is with BOTH of those so it’s either the TV or the Arc. What happens is that after it was off for a few hours - like over the night - the system will only put out Stereo PCM. I have to manually change the sound mode in the TV settings (anything will work as long as I change it, auto, passthrough, no matter). All the other settings are correct, it’s just as if, when off for a few hours, the TV forgets to tell the Arc that it sends surround sound & me changing stuff will remind it.I read that it might be a problem with cheapo HDMI cables so I bought an expensive one and a super expensive one and nothing changed.I am very annoyed and would be extremely grateful for a solution.

Over last week or so, I’ve been having a repeat issue with Alarms on my Play (s)The alarms simply appear to randomly disappear.    Very frustratingly - one of the Plays resorts to Sonos Chime, while the others remain silent.I’ve re-entered  the data may 10 times over the last 4 or 5 days ; they occasionally seem to operate once then disappears.Am I missing something, or is there still a underlying problem with the software?

Here’s my issue, I wish to play my music Libruary not stream.The music is on an iMac under a named user (Shared) so we can play music and keep our own areas separate.The path way is shown correctly in the Sonos settings but after updates and even when the iMac has been closed down when I try to play music there is an error message saying that access to my user music Libruary is denied ( I assume it is because I am administrator) and ignores were the music actually is. If I re install the pathway it then re indexes the Libruary and then may or may not play music. This is driving me to distraction any advice will be appreciated 

I have three Sonos zones/rooms:Bedroom: RayLounge: Arc + 2x Era 300 + Sub 3Bathroom: Era 100The last month or so grouping has completely broken for the Ray. If the Ray is put in a group with any of the other two zones, it will only play music for a few seconds before turning into a few seconds of white noise. Then it goes quiet and the status light starts flashing, which I would interpret as a firmware crash followed by a restart. Feels like Sonos has pushed out a faulty firmware update, but how the heck do I troubleshoot this?!Grouping in general has been much worse the last couple of months. I've always disliked the Sonos client and typically only use it for group management, with playback handled through Spotify Connect. But the speaker groups listed in the Spotify client are almost always outdated, for example after grouping all speakers Spotify will show the group but the speakers supposedly in the group will still be listed separately as well.

I have a Sonos Beam paired with two Sonos One SL (2nd gen) speakers as a home cinema setup, and I’m really happy with the sound quality. Since I’m such a fan of Sonos, I recently added a Sonos Era 100 in the kitchen.The issue I’m running into is this: after playing music throughout the house (including the kitchen), when I switch to watching TV, the TV audio also plays through the kitchen speaker. To fix this, I have to grab my phone or iPad and manually remove the tv sound from the kitchen speaker.I understand how grouping works in the Sonos app, but I’m wondering:Is there a way to automate which speakers are used for TV audio versus music playback?Or is manually adjusting the group via the app the only solution? 

Hi, I have been trying to set up Alexa on my Sonos Roam (since Google Assistant could never discover my device, which is a whole separate issue), to play Spotify but whenever I tell Alexa to play Spotify, it says I have to enable the skill in the Alexa app, which I have already done.Spotify is set up in the Alexa app as well as default music service, and in the Sonos Mobile App as music service, both are set up with the same Spotify Premium account. No matter what I do, Alexa can’t find the spotify skill for some reason. I say “Alexa, Play Spotify” and it says “To do that, enable the skill for the Sonos Roam in your Alexa App, then ask me to discover devices.” The Sonos Skill is enabled, and there are no devices to be discovered when I ask it to. I’m so very lost, do I need to contact Amazon since this is an issue with Alexa? Or can this be solved here?

I have a Sonus Roam in kitchen. Sonus Beam(Named kitchen) in Kitchen and a brand new Sonus Beam 2 (named living room)in living room. When I ask alexa to play radio in kitchen Both Kitchen beam and roam respond and say playing radio station. The roam plays the station but not the kitchen beam but annoyingly  the radio comes on the Beam 2 in the living room disturbing anyone watching TV. The Beam 2 cannot hear me as doors shut and Microphones off. Any ideas thanks

I have an Era 300 Stereo pair as an output to a turntable etc via Line In adaptor (with ethernet). The left speaker is connected to the main EE Broadband Smart Hub via ethernet whilst the right speaker has no wired connection.The problem I get is that the right speaker often drops out. Sometimes this is fixed by a reboot but it literally happens every time I come to use the Line In.  I suspect streaming is OK as both units simply get the stream directly.I can’t work out a way to stop the right speaker from jumping to other channels or from 2.4GHz to 5GHz or from one hub or node on the network to another.Has anyone found a solution to this or a way to lock the Era to a certain node or some other solution?

Sonos app version: 80.20.35Music service: Apple MusiciOS 18.5Apple Music “Recently Added” item in Sonos app is not updating, it is stuck on what it was last week. The result is the same on iOS and iPad OS versions (both 18.5). Worked fine last week.Logging out of Sonos, deleting the app, removing and adding Apple Music service does not help. This is a pretty crucial feature for me, to the extent that I will have to find a different platform if not fixed. Any ideas?

My pair of speakers have developed a buzz when the music peaks especially with vocals. I do enjoy a mix of music and while the house next door is empty the volume has been cranked up. My question is have I blown the speakers like in years gone by with my AR18s. Thanks

Is it possible to suppress check for update when new version is released for Sonos app on Windows? Can this be achieved through file or registry?

Hi there,I’m running the latest Sonos app for macOS, and every time an update is announced when opening the app I need to go through the same annoying process:an update is available update downloads, then tells me something went wrong click try again - presto, it works OR it fails, quit the app, start the app, no new updates availableWhy?My Sonos system otherwise happily plays via Airplay, or via iOS app (iPhone or iPad). Cheers, Ian. 

Hello. I have an older set up that partly relies on a Sonos Connect and Bridge to drive my non-Sonos audio components, together with the Sonos products in other rooms. I primarily play music through the S1 controller on my phone (older components not working with the S2) and mange the files through iTunes with regular Library updates. This has always worked well previously. Lately, though, my iTunes playlists have become a series of gibberish letters and numbers, although all the music files appear to be there properly, listed and playable by artist, album, and track in the app. It’s just the playlists which are a problem. The music is stored in an NAS, and the iTunes Music Library.xml file is there as per prior instructions, exported manually and up to date. I am not willing to give up my very nice audio components, but have I finally reached the end of the road with my Connect and Bridge system? Will switching to a Port and presumably the S2 controller solve this problem? Or is there

I have read on the forum that whe. You enable yhe wifi on the arc it resyncs the surround... but every so often the arc refuses to make any sound. When I disable the wifi it mak s s sound again. I have unpaired and repaired the surround to the arc. But I continue to either have no sound or echoes and out of sync sound.. please help. I wan t to just have a system thst plays consistently after setup. 

I’ve noticed all this week every time I increase the volume up on my Sonos speaker when paired with my iPhone, the volume decreases to 15 I have searched high and low for answers and I have no clue as to why this is repetitive. Please help me.

I have a laptop using windows 11. I have music on the laptop and Sonos on the laptop. I just updated Sonos (sob!!) and again (as has happened several times before) I now cannot play any music. How do I fix this? I have tried deleting the library and putting it back, I have checked that the firewall is not preventing access. I have shared the folder- all to no avail. Actually it says it is accessing the library. A blue circle circles and then I get the unable to play message again. I don’t know what else to do. Why does this keep happening? Also it hasforward slashes/ in the address but on my computer it is a back slash\ ...of course Sonos does not allow me to alter the slash. Is there a way to do this? Why is it using the different symbol to the computer- the computer is sharing the file- including the correct address?

I have noticed that on my Era 100s, when I pause music the status light will flash white, then after a while it will rapidly flash orange and then turn solid white. My music still pauses no problem. If I unplug the speaker for 10 seconds and plug it back in, this goes away for a while but will come back. Any idea what is going on here?

Just moved into a new home that has built-in speakers which I want to make 4 zones from (Zone 1: 4 ceiling speakers in living room +1 ceiling speaker in kitchen nearby; Zone 2: 2 wall speakers in dining room; Zone 3: 4 speakers on porch; Zone 4: 2 speakers next to porch facing pool). I previously had arc/beam/surround/sub setups in multiple rooms which I will still use for rooms which are not prewired. I've gone back and forth with not using the built ins and adding more sonos speakers, or using multiple sonos amps, or using the sonos port with a sepearate muli zone amp. I want to have full control of which zones are playing at the same time rather than have all on or off. I also would like to be able to control the zones and volume from my phone. Is the best option just to spend the extra money and get individual sonos amps? Would having non-sonos speakers be a good option if the home is already prewired in terms of quality? Any details and tips on actual setup would also be appreciat

We had to reboot our router (which I think has caused the problem) and now app says arc ultra and sub 4 not connected. We've followed the instructions to re-connect it but the app still says not connected, even though its working on tv but can't connect other speakers for music. How can we get this to work as it should, thanks.

Titel:  Hi all,I'm using a Sonos Arc, Sub, and two Symfonisk speakers as a surround setup. They are connected to my Samsung The Frame TV from 2017 (model UE55LS003). The system is set up correctly in the Sonos app, but I only hear sound from the Arc. The surround speakers (left and right) stay silent — even when playing Netflix content that should support Dolby Digital 5.1.To be honest, the surround has never worked properly since installation. I recently powered everything down and back on, but the issue remains.Sonos S2 app version: 80.19.21.TV connected via HDMI ARC.What I’ve tried: Verified TV audio output settings (Bitstream + Dolby Digital). Checked grouping in the Sonos app (Arc, Sub, and both Symfonisk are shown as part of the room). Looked for the audio input format in the app but can’t find it anymore. Questions: Where can I see the incoming audio format in the latest S2 app? Is my setup compatible with full surround sound? Any ideas why only the Arc is playing sound?

My Alexa feature has just disappeared, I tried resetting but should the device be known as Sonos one Alexa or just Sonos one? when adding new device the system only sees Sonos one not with Alexa is that right? do you add Alexa separately?  heads spinning 

Does anyone have information on this latest forced system reset / rebuild?I was playing music on my Sonos system last night - a Play:3, 2 Moves, a Play One and a Roam. Today, I go to play music and - none of my Sonos devices are on my system. I am forced to rebuild everything - walking to every device on each floor in my house to press buttons manually. Irritating enough. But it refuses to recognize the Play:3.Is someone at Sonos intentionally trying to alienate users? The amount of time I’ve spent in the last year doing stupid reboots, app updates, re-adding Sonos devices and fixing software crashes that destroyed playlists is mind-boggling. I am considering doing a factory reset on the Play:3 to see if I can connect it to the system, but am afraid that Sonos will simply brick the device. Thoughts?

I have connected the Era 300 via Bluetooth and no sound comes from the speakers . I had no problem with Bluetooth in the past but I do now
