Hello folks,i just ordered the arc ultra ultimate set (era 300, Sub 4) and just came across the eARC requirement and I’m a bit confused now. AppleTV 4K (2nd generation) Sony KDL-55W905A ARC only, DOLBY® DIGITAL/DOLBY® DIGITAL PLUS/DOLBY® PULSE according to the specs I currently have an AVR via Toslink connected and it indicates Dolby 5.1 signal (not PCM)I’ve read that esp. the AppleTV 4K uses a different Dolby MAT container that some TVs struggle with. But giving the fact I get a Dolby 5.1 it seems to work?Does every TV that supports Dolby Plus embedded Atmos ? Can the behavior differ via HDMI ARC ? How would the Sonos set behave “worst case” ? How many channels are active on a non atmos track (e.g. ERA 300 rears and height channels) ? I didn’t plan to upgrade my TV already. Does the HDFury 1 (or 2?) Arcana already support the Arc Ultra? thanks

For a more immense experience, I would like to add two Era 100 on the side, combined with my system made with Arc ultra and the two Era 300. This will make the listening experience even deeper. I specify that I am not interested in high volume, but in the intensity that can be received by adding two speakers l to the side of the system. Has anyone done it or can give an opinion?

Hello, So I just switched router and hooking up Sonos wireless to the new WIFI seems impossible. I’ve read threads here as well as on Reddit and it seems to be pretty common and obviously connected to the new app and its issues. What works now is Sonosnet with one of my speakers wired directly to the router. I can then control the speakers through my computer wirelessly, but not through the app. S1 found the wired speaker and then sends me to S2 which doesn’t find anything. Spent hours trying different things suggested by the community but I now have to accept that these 5+ hours were wasted. Sonosnet atleast lets me use my TV and surround system even though I can’t access specific settings which I could through the app. I’ve tried switching different networks, turning off networds, factory-resetting a Play:1, etc. Nothing works. Is there a point in continuing this or should I just accept this temporary fix and wait for Sonos to get their shit together in a coming update that might be mo

have seven speakers on my sonos system. Two of the speakers show the network extension address in the app and the other five connect via the main modem versus the network extension devices.  The two on the extension devices wont respond to the app controls. They and allow adjustments but wont play.any suggestions?

Hi  I am trying to figure out a way to use my existing set up to project movies in my backyard using a projector  I have 3 Sonos amps — 1 amp is for 6 speakers and a sub for the left part of the yard — 2nd amp is for additional 6 speakers and a second sub for the right side of the yard — 3rd amp if for the family room inside the houseand I have some complementary Sonos moves and Sonos 1 around the house  I investigated the proper setup with bets buy geek squad in 2022 and the final outcome was to get the Sonos bridge and connect everything wirelessly, however I never pulled the trigger and it appears that not the bridge/port and other options are no longer available.  what are my options here ? Wireless? Wired ? Can I connect 2HDMI (amp 1&2) to the projector outside ? It’s a long way for an HDMI cable. Just saying.

I’ve used Google Assistant to control Pandora (default service) playback on Sonos amps for years with no real issues.   So when I asked google assistant to “Play Led Zeppelin Radio”, Sonos played a Pandora classic rock radio station based on the music of Led Zeppelin.   All was good in the world 😀However, in the last few weeks this capability is broken.    Now when I tell google “Play Led Zeppelin Radio” what I get is a queue filled with some songs by Led Zeppelin and other random unrelated songs with the words “Led Zeppelin” in the song title from every genre possible.  See the attached image.  The command works properly when the google device is not connected to a sonos speaker.EDIT - More Info:    I have the same issue on Sonos Arc (built-in google assistant).  The problem goes away if I change the default music speaker of the google mini to itself (i.e. disconnect the mini from Sonos).  But the problem returns when I make a sonos speaker the default player for the google mini. Wha

I have a Play:3. Can It hook it to my computer through ethernet? I’ve got a bridge, but it isn’t recognized by my Mac system, so I thought I might take the Bridge out the the pass from computer to speaker.

Hi,My question was asked per guidance from Sonos on stackoverflow. The question is specifically about the SMAPI, and if the Endpoint URL *must* be public. If so, Why? It doesn’t make sense and is a poor design choice for integrations. The question is asked here in more detail - please can somebody answer https://stackoverflow.com/questions/79162083/sonos-smapi-endpoint-can-this-be-decided-at-runtime

I currently have a Play 3 in my family room with a Gen 3 Sub. Thinking of replacing/upgrading to two Era 100’s with the sub. Other than the better separation with the two Era 100’s in stereo will this be an upgrade ?

How can I determine the generation of my One SL speakers?

I have been using the Playbar with BT box for several years. I used the BT remote to adjust volume on the PlaybarI recently bought a new Pansonic TV. The TV is connected to the BT box with an Hdmi cable; the TV is also connected to a DVD player via HDMI. the TV is connected to the Playbar with a cableI can change channels etc with the BT remote so that is functioning fine but I cannot make any volume adjustments using the BT remote. I have tried to get the TV remote to adjust the volume of the Playbar but also with no success. How can I adjust volume on the Playbar?

I have Sonos Port connected via CO-AX to an A/V Receiver. Three other Sonos speakers, at the corners of a large room, are all within listening radius for each other including the receiver listening to the Port’s output. Regardless of Audio Delay settings the Port is always just a few ms lagging behind the other three perfectly synchronized speakers. While enabling the receiver’s PURE DIRECT mode has reduced some lag, it’s still so present where an artificial reverb is created when the Port participates in playback. Is there anything I can do to mitigate this? Is there a chance there’s a way to reach the development team to request injecting a way to set a delay on “the rest of the Sonos installation” to reduce this reverb effect from the Port’s plus receiver’s output lag?

I did not think this was supported before, due to Apple.  For example, I once asked a BluOS dealer why they force you to AirPlay if you want to listen to Apple Music and they said it was because Apple does not support lossless streaming to non-Apple devices, only 256kbps AAC.I have an Era 300 and it's logged into my Apple Music account, like before.  But now on the new app when I see what the speaker is playing it now says “Lossless”.  I don’t remember ever seeing that before.  So…. am I now getting lossless music to my Era 300?

Hi there,I have bought a used Play 1 that allegedly is supposed to work fine.I don’t have any other Sonos products on my network currently, but I have had a Play 3 until recently (worked fine). I started by factory resetting the device. Then I have tried the following, with the following errors:Tried to add the Play 1 through the Sonos app (not S1). I got to the Wifi-password step, but it won’t accept my wifi password. It says it can’t connect. After a while, a button appears that says “use ethernet cable” or something similar (non-english system). But when I press this, and connect the ethernet cable, it still can’t connect. I tried to add the Play 1 while the network cable was connected. This rendered the list of Wifi-networks empty and I never get to the “use ethernet cable” option. I tried to factory reset the Play 1 while having the ethernet cable connected. This did not make anything different. I have disconnected all other devices from my router, restarted it, etc. No difference

I have no idea why this should happen!I haven’t used SONOS for three weeks, but last night I tried to play some music, but alas, the Music Library has disappeared from my SONOS system. It took me a lot of effort to originally install it - so this is frustrating. The Music is on a Toshiba Hard Drive connected to my desk top computer.I have the SONOS app on my desk top - I click on Settings>Music library settings> Add> Another folder or drive connected to my computer> Browse> click on the drive >Next - and then receive the message “Unable to add the shared folder  (xxxxx )  to your music library (913)” Any advice on how a why the folder cannot be added would be appreciated. Kind Regards,

I can’t seem to figure out how to make my Sonos groups visible to AirPlay. Please help!

I have tried multiple times to ensure the password is correct, but the connection still does not establish and there was a problem linking my Sonos (Amp) to my account!Could you please assist me in troubleshooting this issue? Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.Hello Sonos Support Team,Thanks for help!

How do I delete unused rooms from my app?

From one week, I ask Alexa for radio (TuneIn) and music (Apple Music), Alexa answers OK, but these servicies don’t work

I know there have been a few posts on Google Nest WiFi Pro mesh setups but not seen any definitive answers.  I have installed the mesh WiFi and whilst the Sonos speaker (S1) seems to have found and connected to the network (e.g. I can use Alexa and start internet radio) the Sonos app does not show any connected speakers.   Has anyone managed to get Sonos working with Nest WiFi Pro? I do not have the option to connect via a wire or use the original router as it’s too far away - it needs to connect wirelessly to the Nest access point.

Will Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 still connect? Or is there no longer any current software to support it?

The option to select ‘My music’ from my own music library has disappeared from the Sonos app.  I can no longer find my own music library.

Can I connect my SL1200 sects to my Sonos system

I am an old guy so have mercy.  I finally retired my Playbar and bought the Arc Ultra and I am having trouble hooking up my older Sub 2.  I can add it to the system and I get the chime but no sound at all from the Sub. I have tried all the usual things I can think of, update the speaker, Wi-Fi on and off, Ethernet cable plugged-in or not, remove the sub and reconnect, etc. Nothing brings the sub to life.  I would appreciate any suggestions anyone can offer me.  Ill try anything once and if it sounds or feels good, more than that. Thanks
