Hi All, In my living room I have a Beam, a Mini Sub, and a Five. Here are my dreams… 1. Have the Beam and the Mini Sub for watching TV / movies. 2.Be able to swap to the Five and Mini Sub when listening to just music / records. I want better quality audio than a sound bar can offer for music listening, plus my record player is on the other side of the room and want a speaker near that.  3. Being able to go all out and have the 3 speakers play.  The issue I am running into is I cannot get the Five to join the others in one room on the app or I can only connect the Mini Sub to either the Beam or the Five. Is what I am dreaming possible?Does the Port solve any of this?Would a pair of Era 100’s and 300’s plus the Five make this possible and just ditch the sound bar?Ditch the single Five and go with a pair of 300’s or 100’s and keep the beam? But then theres the problem of turntable connectivity and the Port is pricey...Can I make a group with all the speakers and just mute the beam? Bonus

Hi. Just set up two brand new Move 2s. Both work fine on their own and as a group. But when I try to pair them in Stereo mode, only the primary one plays music. This happens no matter which one I start with.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. ThanksG

I have two Play 3 speakers that used to play fine, then they started disappearing from the network and neither Spotify nor the Sonos app could find them. In the end I factory reset them. Both played nice during the reset, and the app found them no problem.. I went through the process where they play some bell sounds and the app declared they had been added. But there was still no sign of them. So I rebooted them, rebooted my phone, took them to another room, and eventually gave up and went to bed. Next night I tried again. Still nothing. Then suddenly, one of them started flashing green, and the app added it. Yay, one speaker works. However the second still refuses to connect. The mute light is solid white. Both speakers are on the network with IP addresses - the same network as my phone - and both are sending low levels of network traffic, and have been the whole time. What is going on here? How do I fix it?

I have a Beam gen2, 2 symfonisk bookshelf and 2 somfonisk picture frame that I wanna use for surround, but I can only add either the bookshelf or picture frame speakers - not all together  Any ideas on how to configure all into the surround setup ?

I have a gen 1 play 5, with 3x play 1, 2x play 3 and sub. I have factory reset the play5 and want to remove from system so I can update to new app. Don’t want to loose playlists, or have to start again. when I try to update to existing, on my network it says I can’tunsure as to why?? Thought it might be play 5 as 1st gen…. Can anyone please help🙏

You have closed the topic on “energetic Alexa”, but the issue persists. I am up to date on all devices as well as iOS Mac OS software and the fact that Alexa response volume cannot be adjusted separately is something to be addressed. I had to switch off Alexa support on Sonos and went back to echoes. While watching a movie using airplay for example requires a rather high volume level on speakers when used with LG tv unit that is not connected to the ARC sb. Sometimes volume has to be set around 50, and when Alexa responses it’s blasted ok after turning off the light o asked it to at full volume is a serious issue when using devices at night. I am mostly up at night cause I live in Warsaw but work with teams in the US remotely while coordinating Lab work locally in Poland and I am mostly up till 6 am and sleep half of the actual day.  Please, consider adding a feature to separate notification / response volume from the streaming audio volume or at least fix the Alexa volume level being

Okay, so I bought an Arc and gen3 sub about 2 years ago, primarily as for movies tv etc. Always been happy with it until I recently switched to iPhone from Android.no matter what I try, my iPhone will not airplay to the arc directly from Apple Music or YouTube music. It shows the arc in the airplay list but attempting to connect gives a “cannot connect to arc” error.i can play audio from both apps when used within the Sonos app but let’s be honest, the UI blows so not ideal.i can also airplay to my tv and play through the arc since it’s my tvs primary audio setup.i have an old Sonos one in the office at work and that streams audio great via airplay, yet I spent a bomb on the arc and sub and can’t even get a connection on my iPhone. Tried resetting everything, even the router but no bueno.

I have a very odd situation that recently developed.  When I make a request via Alexia on Sonos to a Spotify play list, it will sometimes connect and sometimes it will not (i.e., nothing happens). If I ask for my previous playlist, it will consistently connect, and then I can then connect to a new playlist request upon a second Alexa request.Any suggestions?

I got a couple albums recorded in Atmos but no luck when trying them through app's music library nor  plugging to my projector's USB the hdd that holds this media. It always send it downgraded to my arc ultra and eras 300 in stereo pcm.Is there an Android media player or any other workaround that will let me enjoy this music at their full encoding with my sonos system? Thanks community.

Wifi er Ok. Trueplay finner ikke playbase og sonos one fra min iPhone 16e

Hi, I have new Mac Book and trying to set up Sonos. Installed the app but there is no sign of “manage” to allow me to add music folders etc., I’m new to Mac and tried searching, googling etc., but am stuck. I have read other interesting articles about how to get my folders working once I can find “manage”, at least I think I have.

I often listen to jazz playlists and the music plays with sudden stops and starts again few seconds later. It’s very annoying.Irene Lepicard

Looking to add a SubMini to my current Playbar and Paly1 setup on my tv. Will the SubMini connect? I do not see the Playbar listed only the Beam. Thx!

I have recently bought a Poject Carbon Sonos truntable to pair with two 300’s.These work perfectly through wifi, bluetooth, etc, but when connected to the turntabale, either through line or a port the sound output is intermittent, the stereo dropping between the two speakers. It is unlistenable.Suggestions, please. Is it a turntable issue?

Sonos has marked this issue as “resolved” but it’s not. I stream radio with Apple music every day though my Sonos Beam and inevitably I start experiencing drops in the stream. Meanwhile on my portable sonos speaker I never experience this drop no matter where I put it in the house. Yet another unresolved glitch by Sonos that people are begging them to resolve.

Hello, I installed my Sonos Beam soundbar and paired it with two Sonos One SL speakers. They work well together. The Beam soundbar is connected to the HDMI Arc port. Unfortunately, when I turn on my TV, my system doesn't always connect automatically to the TV and the sound comes directly from the TV. I have to go through the app each time and reconfigure the TV in the system options. TV: Philips UHD 50PUS7906/12 Is this issue known and is there a solution? Thanks in advance.

Rodinet

This issue still exists.Anyone else? Or proposed solutions?

I live in France and have been using Sounds to access Radio 4 live, for many years.  I now hear I will not be able to do so. Any solutions please?

The second speaker for my move isn’t showing as connected. Got a new router and finally after multiple hours got the move connected. Any suggestions. thanks for the help

The volume keeps turning down, and my amp keeps flashing, red and white lights

I have multiple rooms ( & a hall ) each with 4 speakers ( & subs ), I have fully embraced Sonos throughout our home, yet I am constantly frustrated with having to group 2 stereo pairs so I can play in a room. It constantly fails, all I want is for them to remain fully paired and appear as one set, neither one volume so I don’t have to keep wondering why the sound isn’t right and then to findbrhat I’m only playing out of 2 of 4 speakers. I could have done this in my old none Sonos based house with no problems.inreally want Sonos to work and. This feels like a minor software issue, please make it possible or tell me how to if it’s already possible.

Hi.  I updated my Sonos desktop app from version 16.6 to 16.7 yesterday and then tried to update my local music library since I had added some new songs but now I get this error message:This message doesn’t make sense because my music files haven’t moved and I was able to index my library under version 16.6 a few days ago without any problems.  I tried updating my content on the mobile app too; I didn’t get an error message but the new songs were not added.Any ideas or do I just need to wait until the next update for this new bug to be fixed?  (Troubleshooting this app after each update is really getting tiresome.)Thanks.

Hi Sonos Community, I am trying to connect a USB hard drive to my router which I have loaded with songs from my computer and play through Sonos using the app. Some time ago this worked fine by the following: Manage - Music Library Settings, using a path as - //192.(IP Address...)/Name of Drive but this errors out when I progress further. It seems to be since upgrading to Windows 11 or possibly because the Sonos app has changed? I have also read that SMB security settings need to be set back to v1, which I believe I have done.Could anyone tell me if they have successfully enabled connecting a hard drive to their router on their Sonos set up and how they have achieved this, and if I need to correct the path or settings to make this work?
