I'm certain this has already been discussed because it is extremely annoying so I don't believe I'm the only one to complain. But I cannot find the relevant thread. So, nagging incoming:Wrong group displayed:Every time I start the app, the wrong group is active and displayed.I f I am watching tv, it will display a non-active session of Spotify in my office room. If I'm listening to music in my office room then it will display the inactive line in PC. Mehhhh....It has been exhausting!!! Why has such an obvious defect on base functionality not been fixed yet?Quick access:One feature that I have been waiting even before the mess with the new app: a quicker way to access to equalizer, surround and sub. Or better some profiles that I can associate with activities. For example, I need different settings when I watch TV and when listening to music. Even when I watch tv, I need different settings for a streaming service such as Netflix or watching anime on my laptop. 

Hi,For no apparent reason my Spotify connect has stopped playing on Sonos. When I choose to play a song in Spotify on Sonos, Spotify app tries to make a connection and silently fails. However, if I group speakers in Sonos, I can see the groups in Spotify i.e. some data is transferred successfully.I have tried connecting from Spotify Mac app and Ios app with same results. I have rebooted all Sonos devices, routers and reinstalled Ios Spotify app.  All help appreciated!   

My speakers are acting in a very bizarre manner.  At any random point, day or night, they suddenly turn on and off in a quick fashion, like at a rate of 3 - 4 times per second.  I have a video I can share if needed.  When I open the app, it’s showing the music start and pause in a super quick fashion.  I can’t pause it, change stations, or anything.  If I try and turn the volume down, it goes straight back to level 15.. exactly.   I’ve tried reinstalling the app, and resetting the speakers.. Within minutes it’s doing it again.  Is there a fix to this, or did I just lose $400 at Costco?  

Can anyone tell me if SONOS has a service facility in Australia?

 I’ve spent several days trying to build a music library, and this message keeps popping up. “Algol” is the name of the server and “all” is the share. All checks out well on the host side. This message occurs 5-10-15 minutes into the Library refresh. I’ve been able to get most of the library built by starting with a small number of files in the share, refreshing the library, adding more, refresh, repeat. Having smaller updates seems to suit Sonos better. But now that the library has grown to 38,000 or so files, I can’t get any further. I suspect what is happening is that Sonos is timing out on reading the share folders and building its database. It interprets a timeout as the share going away -- unpowered, changed path, whatever, none of which is definitely not the case. I don’t have reason to suspect the environment. Hey,I just added 2 Era 300 speakers to my Soundbar Arc and Sub Gen 3. I connected them to WiFi and set them up as surround sound speakers for the entire system. The problem is that when I play music, a movie (anything), the speakers intermittently cut out. They play sound in a pulsating manner. The router is in the same room and the WiFi signal is very strong. Do you know what could be causing this?

HelloI recently purchased a Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300s. Everything works very well, but I'm noticing for the second time a problem with the bass on certain Dolby Atmos films. The sound starts skipping when the base level is too high, as if the system is unable to deliver it. It usually cuts out for half a second, but it can be much longer with choppy sound for several seconds. So I'm wondering if the problem comes from the bar or if it's something common when you don't have a subwoofer. I noticed the problem in the films Civil War and Sicario, especially with the helicopters.

So I purchased a Sub Mini from the US military Exchange store in Germany in March 2024.  Yesterday the LEDs on my sub stopped working and I am not longer able to connect the sub to the app.I promptly connected Sonos support and asked for assistance.  After going through the typical “have you checked the power plug” I finally was offered the have the item replaced.  Oh, but wait, a few minutes later the agent said my sub mini was out of warranty.  I purchase the item 10 months ago and I have a 1 year warranty.Has anyone else had this problem?  Any suggestions on what I can do?  Should I get a lawyer? 

I (stupid me) made a factory reset on my two old Play3 speakers due to problems with the stereo-setup. I therefore is forced to update (I think) both units and app if I want to add the two Play3 units to the system again. Will the system after the firmware update of the system be able function with android App ver. 16.1?

When I try to play, the song just buffering. Nothing happens. Yes, I have tried to reauthorize. And reinstall the Apple Music. Dont work. 

Hi, i’ve just updated my Arc including 2 play 1’s which are my surrounds, just 1 of the play 1’s will not update, keeps failing, tried all the obvious, any help appreciated as this is really annoying me as you can imagine.kind regards Jamie.

I’ve had Sonos speakers for some years. For the first time ever, when I switched on the TV, the sound came out of the Playbar as usual but the TV sound also came out of my Play 5 in the bedroom. I’ve muted it for the time being.Any idea what’s happened? Thanks.

Every time I add new music to iTunes and then try to update my Library it vanishes - the path shows in my settings etc but all artists/albums vanish - and when I ‘update’ it takes about two seconds to update and nothing has changed.It was all working OK this morning - then added some new CDs to iTunes, and first it said the path was no longer available, which is rubbish - why would it have changed? I checked, and all sharing settings are as they were.I’m using an iMac BTW.

Hello,  My Sonos Connect has worked perfectly for quite some time. This week it changed completely. It disconnects all the time. Nothing in the setup has changed. Several times I've resetted it and moved it to different places.Everytime it starts again (after resetting it to factory settings) for a couple of minutes, than it disappears from my network. Since I've got it for my turntable, I can't hook it up physically to my router.I've spoken to the helpdesk on several occasions (I can hardly understand them due to the accents on their speech) and messaged on several occasions. Hello,One of my rooms has an older TV that lacks EARC/ARC.  I’m going to be upgrading the TV sometime this year, but the soundbar I was using with it died.  I was going to buy an Arc Ultra with the new TV but now I’m considering getting an the Ultra early but I would have to use it with the HDMI to Optical adapter temporarily until I purchased a new TV.  I know the Arc Ultra will work over Optical, just be limited to Compressed 5.1.My question is in regards to the speakers.  If using Optical and only getting Compressed 5.1, will is still use all the speakers in the Ultra? For example, will the up-firing speakers just not produce any sound at all if the Ultra is receiving a 5.1 signal, or will they duplicate sound from one of the front channels?Thanks.

Hello, Is it possible to play music from a USB key with Sonos Era 300 and Move? I have the Lin in adapter... I tried, I see the little lines that move but no sound and I don't see the pieces of the key.... sorry for the English, I had it translated with Google ;-) thanks

I recently bought 2 stands for my Sonos One speakers. In order to put the speakers on, I had to unplug them. I rebooted them and they show up in the app. I did the sound test where you move your arm in circles etc to tune it. At the top of System settings it says estimated time 1 minute to tune the speakers with True Play but the time never disappears. I’m using them with a Beam. Any suggestions on next steps in problem solving?

It happened again. The new update in Jan, 2025 dropped the connect 2 from my devices and I cannot reconnect it. I can occasionally get it to connect, but then it drops and I get a ghost image saying it is “Not Connected.” I am certain that Sonos is pushing people to buy other newer devices because it is ALWAYS an update that knocks the Connect 2 device out of the group. A new device is EXPENSIVE so please Sonos, do the right thing and continue support of your older compatible devices.

Hi,What's the best way to adapt my coax output from my Tv to the HDMI earc input of the Beam gen2 and still get good sound quality from my soundbar?Any suggestions on the product I should get? Thank you

Ive had an Arc, Gen 3 Sub and a pair of Ones as my rear for surround.  I recently bought a pair of era 100’s to add as fronts (thus finally have living room surrounded all around), but they’re adding separately as stereo and don’t play with the existing setup.  Apparently I’m a moron with this App. Do I need to delete my setup and start over with all speakers?? 

I am building a master bedroom suite with a small home theater area.  I would like to use in wall speakers and Sonos Amps and a subwoofer for the system.  However, I understand the Sonos Ace headphones will not work with the Sonos Amp.  Is there a plan to upgrade the Sonos Amp in the near future to be compatible with the Ace?  If so, I could proceed as planned and just switch out one of the Amps to the newer model when it becomes available.

I have found several threads about the Sonos app not working on Xiaomi phones, but I do not see a solution to the problem, apart from using the equipment via the website. In marketing information, user manuals and other warnings before purchase there is no information that the application does not work with a specific phone or even an entire line, brand of phones. So I have a question, is anything happening about repairing this problem or should I return the equipment as non-compliant with the terms of the purchase agreement, because there is no chance of repairing this problem!!!???

I have 3 Sonos devices: Move, One, and Roam. I previously used a tp-link router, no major issues. But this weekend I upgraded to asus rt-be86u (which is wifi7 but only has 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands). i have 35+ devices that connected seamlessly to the new router, including the Sonos One and the Roam.  However, the Move did not connect. Factory reset Move and attempted to re-add to my existing system. Sonos app (new one) discovers the Move, goes through process of adding it, but gets hung up where it is connecting to the router’s WiFi network. reset modem as well. No luck. searched online this forum for help/ideas, tried several, including ensuring airtime fairness was disabled on both 2.4 and 5ghz band, turning off internet access for all devices through parental controls, etc. updated app, iOS, etc. tried using a different device to set up (iPad instead of iPhone 16). Tried connecting to a legacy IoT network that I set up on the router for older devices. Tried changing channels of existin

i have the exact same problem, need to adjust slider to “ wake “ the speaker, music are all fine, but when i go idle, i have to do the steps above to wake it 

I can’t control the volume on the playbar with my Samsung TV RF remote control. The TV is connected to the Playbar with the optical cable. Is it because it can’t be don with a RF remote control or is there anything else to do? Thanks for your help 🙏 Best regards Thomas
