With the Roam SL can you stream anything to it? It’s not limited to just streaming services? thanks
I am looking for a corner, articulating mounting bracket for my sonos move
Roam wouldn’t work at hotel using their internet?
I bought Roam whilst travelling but having difficulty setting it up with the hotel wifi and my phone. It keeps timing out whilst trying to set up. Any suggestions?
My mobile device tells me music is playing on my Move but no sound comes out. New WiFi was installed four days ago. Move was working well before that, and seems fine now except for total silence! I’ve added it as a new product three or four times and all goes smoothly but still, no sound emerges. I’d be grateful if anyone could offer a new strategy to try.
I just purchased the Move and with help from customer service downgraded the software. I was eager to hear it next to my aging system (Play 5 and various ZPs) but when I finally got it to work it paled in comparison to the sound of my Play 5 - little dynamic range and poor sound quality over all. I hear that the sound quality of the Move 2 is much improved but does it make sense that the 5+ yo Play 5 sounds much better? Any suggestions on settings or tweaks I can make are welcome. Thanks in advance!
Earlier this week I was leaving from the gym around 4am when I was attacked by two transient young men when the first perp attacked me the other climbed into my vehicle and swiped a good bounty of my belongings amongst them I'm pained to say was my Sonos move I worked an entire year of overtime to buy this wonderful device and to have it ripped from my possession in such a nasty traumatic filled rush is so debilitating and now I can't rest while listening to my music or at least have a negative reminder it's out there somewhere in some encampment. Sorry to sound so why me but really wish I had some sort of location service
Hi, I have recently added a Roam to my Roam SL. Tried every way to stereo pair them but the app will just not recognise them as a pair. If I try Airplay from my iPhone I can get one or the other to work but not both at the same time. The Sonos website suggests to name them name them in different rooms. I can name the Roam but not the Roam SL.Am used to Apple products that just work. Can anyone help?
How can I make sure Alexa is always around when I call for her on Move 2? Every time when I need Alexa, the Move 2 is off. When I called Sonos support, they said there is no way to resolve this issue. It doesn’t make sense to me that I have to go up to the Move 2 to turn in on or go get my phone and open the Sonos app in order to talk to Alexa……. I need help!! Thanks y’all!
I cant connect my two sonos move together, whenever i try too, it would only connect with ine and the other won't show until i switched it off or change it into Bluetooth mode before the second one can connect
I have paired to Moves. It sounds great and is exactly the right solution for my office. My only issue is that I can only the touch controls on the right speaker function. The touch controls on the left speaker don’t do anything.I’d prefer that the touch controls worked on both Move speakers, but at a minimum, I would like switch the touch control from the right to left speaker.
Can you charge a move 2 with a 12v usb car charger?
Hi, I recently bought a brand new Sonos Move from Japan and I live in New Zealand. I’m having trouble doing the initial setup via the Sonos mobile app.Launched Sonos app, and discovers the Sonos Move speaker. I tap “Add” App tells me to press the infinity button that’s playing the chime. App connects to Sonos Move successfully. App asks to connect to wifi and I enter my wifi password carefully and verify that it’s correct. Click Connect. App stalls on “Connecting Sonos Move to <my wifi>” for 2 minutes. App says “There was a problem setting up your Sonos Move. Let’s try something else”. Tap Continue. App says “Go to iOS Accessory Setup to connect your Sonos Move to your WiFi”. Tap “Go to Accessory Setup”. After 30 seconds, app says “There was a problem during setup. Restart your mobile device or use a different one and try again”.I’ve factory reset the device several times and am getting no further. Some advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
2x dead roam speakers 14 mos/ 17mos use. The china 18650 batteries are junk. I guess the battery module is smart enough not to overcharge these lithium batteries to a thermal runaway condition and burn down the house. Never buy these speakers, knowing they are disposable same as the cheaper ones.Good job on battery control module, no lithium battery fires reported yet!!
I recently got a Move 2 and have had a recurring issue when Automatic TruePlay is enabled. It’s especially noticeable at low volumes: there will be frequent half-second swells in volume before the level returns to what it was before. It’s very bad with ambient music; it will be peacefully humming along, then there’s a sudden spike in volume before returning to normal. It happens on any song, at any part of the song; it isn’t repetitive or triggered by a specific track. It doesn’t happen if I disable Automatic Trueplay. It sounds like for whatever reason, the algorithm that balances Trueplay suddenly thinks “I need to turn up the volume,” then the mics feed back and it lowers it quickly to the previous level. The odd thing is that this doesn’t happen on the original Move. I had a Move placed in the exact same position in our kitchen for over 3 years, and this never happened. As soon as I swapped in a Move 2, I started noticing it.So either there’s a difference in how the Move 2 calculates Au
Very disappointed in the quality of the Sonos Roam. I am an ex-dealer and part of the reason we dropped the line is due to poor support and the fact quality has dropped on both hardware and app. The latest issue is with the Roam battery. This particular roam was always charged on the Sonos base with a Sonos power brick. It stayed there when not in use and was used sparingly. One day it was just dead. No way to revive it even with support from Sonos. I wish they had would stand behind their product but the only option is to receive a 30% credit….which means they continue to profit on the sale of the replacement since dealer cost is MSRP less 30%. No longer the high quality company they once were!
My Roam will connect to Bluetooth and the app will show it as connected to BT whilst playing. it will not connect to Wifi despite several resets and setup attempts. The setup works very well until I get to the ‚connecting to Wifi‘ part. i have UniFi access points and have made changes to settings suggested by other users. Allother Sonos devices on my network work well. Assume this is a faulty device i need to return?
Anyone know of wireless charging bases or pads that work with Sonos products, that AREN’T specifically built for Sonos products? or does Sonos restrict us to their gilded cage?
I’m just setting up my new Sonos Roam, and I can’t get any sound out I’d the speaker? ( but there is more volume from my iPhone?) what have I done wrong?
When I turn my Move 1 on it makes a noise like it just connected but I get nothing. Not even a light blue or white comes on anymore? It is plugged in to the electric I have owned it 4 months with no problems until now. Can it be reset to original factory? Or reboot
A few days ago I bought a move 2 which I am having a bit of a hard time with.It is a very nasal sounding bass boom box that can be used for talk radio when the bass is turned all the way down and trueplay and loudness are not activated.Music is next to impossible to listen to if it is not simple jazz music without vocals.Has anyone else had this experience with Move 2 ? Just a follow-up to my post. After I did a factory reset of my brand new Move 2, the sound is ok.But in my opinion the very low bass and midrange are a bit too dominant, but I hope this will be adjusted in future software updates. I cant register new sonos move (I have another one already).Helpppp
We just bought a small seasonal 2nd home. I have a nice Sonos system all hardwired at our main place. I want to do the best I can within Sonos lineup for our new place and 2 Move speakers should work. I’m not a tech wizard so I have some questions, Do I need another Sonos Amp to run these as a pair? I do have Wi-Fi at the new place and want the flexibility to move them around and outside.BIG QUESTION, can I use my main homes Sonos app that already has all my music sources, playlists and channels set up, at the 2nd home? I would rather not set it all up again. Any help is much appreciated on either topic.
SummaryIn my experience, the Sonos Roam has been buggy, and I encounter a lot of disruptions in contrast to my Sonos One and Sonos Beam and breaks the illusion of an easy multi-room audio “it just works”. It’s put me off investing in further Sonos products or upgrading unless this is resolved. Trouble waking upThe Roam has issues waking up from sleep. It gets stuck and won’t turn on. Other times, I need to press the power button then wait a few seconds and try pressing it on again, only for the logo light to pulse white and then eventually connect to the System. Disconnection/Drop-outsPlaying multi-room audio with Sonos One and Beam, the Roam will suddenly stop playing the music whilst other Sonos speakers work fine. To resolve this, I’d turn it off then back on to get it working again - even then this may not work. Poor battery lifeWhen on standby or playing music, it doesn't last 10 days or the 10 hours (whatever the specs stated). Don’t have much to say on this other than it does wi
Just upgraded to a Panasonic tx-55mz800b tv to match with my Sonos beam gen 2 and sky q. My previous Panasonic did not have e arc so I had issues with Dolby and stereo sound and lip sync. The new sep up seemed to solve this but now the same problem has come back. I have turned on the bypass option in the TV’s sound settings but the problem persists. Can anyone assist, please?
