Hi guys,

Just wondering if the Sonos Roam can work both on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wifi network?, I tried it on the 2.4 GHz and it’s working, then I transitioned to the 5 GHz and it’s not working. Any better alternatives or can it also work if you set up a Mobile hotspot on your device? I can also use a Wifi device, (Samsung) Galaxy 5G Mobile Wi-Fi SCR01 specifically if outdoors, would that work?

I have two WiFi networks and my system is a mixture of wired and wireless, SonosNet and WiFi, 2.4 and 5GHz. The players can connect any way they please and I don't keep track.

Check your router settings. By default some routers isolate the 2.4 and 5GHz bands. This will prevent controllers and players from connecting with units using the other band.
