Portable speakers

Look how many people have the same problems with this product. I have spent hours on hold, back at the retailer, talking to support, reading countless articles, uninstalling reinstalling, rebooting and trying every method known to man and still Google Assistant refuses to add to Roam. I fed up of the poor service and Sonos as a product.

I have had 2 Play 5s (1st Gen) and a Play One.  LOVE my system. Just moved to new apt and I had my One in the bathroom but my new bathroom doesn’t have a good place to plug it in and also place it somewhere. I thought “OK I’ll get a new water resistant one like Roam or Move.”   I bought a Roam, and after playing around with it and spending a long time iwth an AMAZING Sonos rep on the phone, he says Roam can only work on S2 and Play 5 (1st gen) can only work on S1.  I can’t use Roam and my old speakers! Ughh! During setup it seemed like S2 (which I downloaded) was going to let me set up the Roam on S2 but then PLAY it via S1. Am I just out of luck? If I want any new speakers I have to upgrade my old ones??? THis is turning a $200 purchase into a $1200 one!  

Hi all, just purchased a Roam. Set it up, but no sound coming from speaker, graphic on phone shows it playing. Also the setting for grouping non Sonos devices under the AirPlay tab does not allow the slider to change the setting to on, any help would be great. Thank you

Hello. Do compression settings in the Sonos app matter for the Roam? It seems to be more geared for Sonos devices with line-in 

My Sonos move suddenly stopped playing back music, or plays intermittently. Whether playing directly to the move or in a group - example, I create a group with other wired and wireless devices… it shows the music playing on the Move along with the other zones, but there’s no music coming out of it. The other speakers/systems are playing fine. Nothing has changed with my network, the Move is in the same spot (even tried moving it closer to the router)… one test today - I started a song in a group with the Move and two other devices. The other devices started playing, the Move did not. 2 minutes into the song, the Move started playing the same song but from the beginning (so it was way out of sync), played for about a minute then stopped. Now won’t play. I’ve tried resetting the Move already.I’ve had two chats with support already, no resolution - just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Hi,I have a Sonos Move and would like at connect it to my record player. The record player has a 3.5 mm audio jack output. I’ve purchased a 3.5 mm to USB connector and I can’t get it play through the move unit. Does it have capability to do this or is that only  possible with Move 2?

I would like to purchase a Move 2 that I can use when I travel to vacation rentals. Does it require wifi connection to be set up via the Sonos app? Or can I just power it on and connect via Bluetooth/Airplay like a regular bluetooth speaker?I saw some Amazon reviews stating it doesn’t connect with bluetooth and wasn’t sure if that was just user error or if this is just software bugs that Sonos has not resolved.Thanks in advance

when I ask for a specific music item sonos roam says ".... try again later" even tho Spotify is linked. How do I use voice control to get Spotify music? 

Hey all,My Roam’s battery apparently ran out and I’ve been charging it with usb cable for the last 8 hours.At first the battery light was solid orange.Now the battery light has turned off and status light is blinking white but it’s not turning on.I haven’t changed my router nor changed the router’s name and password.I’ve tried all the steps to reset like: Press and hold the power button on the back of your Roam for 5 seconds to power it off. You will hear a chime and the status LED on the front will turn off. While holding the Play/Pause button, press and release the power button on the back of your Roam. Continue holding the Play/Pause button until the light on the front flashes orange and white. The light will flash green when the process is complete and your Sonos Roam is ready to be set up. This did not work.Anybody have any suggestions, I’m not sure what to do now this haven’t happened before.Thanks in advance!

So I am away in Dubai, hotel wifi uses a Username & Password, the Sonos app only asking for a Password so not allowing me to connect, any help / ideas for me please?

I’ve had my Sonos Roam (bought at Costco) for slight over a year and the orange light is on.Originally, I had it on the wireless charger and when I went to turn it on, nothing happened. Then, I switched over to the wired charger and the orange light came on. I left it on for hours (over a day), but still nothing. I’ve held the power button down for 15 seconds, but still unresponsive.  After spending over $100 on this speaker, just over a year ago,I’m starting to really doubt the quality of Sonos. Seems like their battery is no better than those on much cheaper speakers. Any other suggestions? 

How do i update my sonos roam so it can be used with sonos S2 app ? All i get is that its not registered an do cant update remove or get it back on the network. I keep seeing they tell me to open S1 and reset it from there, but when i open S1 app i just get told to open S2 app were i cant do anything about it. I can connec it to Spotify or any other app. 

Hello,I have a question regarding my Sonos Roam Qi charger which I hope somebody can help me with.Recently I bought the Sonos Roam with the charger. As thsi is a normal Qi charger the question is:Can I use the charger also to charge my Iphone 12 or will I damage my phone with it.better to ask first bofore dammaging my Iphone :)Thanks for your help & advise

Plugged it in and cannot connect to exisitng Sonos system of 3 x play 3 via Sonos app. No green light and cannot seem to power off 

Just got a pair of Roams, pretty impressed, but there’s a couple of things that seem a little disappointing, although it could be that I’m doing something wrong, so I want to ask some expert advice please;Firstly, I had assumed that I could pair them in stereo when they are in the same space just by  a quick press of a button on the app, and then when I move one back in to another room, they would ‘de-stereo’ (for want of a better way of describing it). Instead it seems to be a bit more of a multi step set-up up process, in particular when I want to move them apart again, I have to ‘Remove Stereo Pair’ which is a bit more of a permanent process, requiring me to go through the multi-step set up process when I want to pair them again. Am I missing something here, is there a simpler and quicker way to use them in stereo just by bringing them together, and just as easily reverse this by separating them again? I also thought it would be easy to have them set up to use in a group AND as a st

Finally got the RH speaker in a Roam stereo pair to come on with the LH one on alarm but now the volume is the same as the primary alarm volume whereas before it was the previously set volume for all grouped speakers. Anyone know a workaround for this?

I have a Sonos Roam device that only works to connect to wifi when I want to take it out of the house I can't connect itI don't know if all products of this model are the same, but I wish I could get it out of the house.

I am holiday with my very new Move 2 and it is now just sitting there with a flashing red led.it was working fine on my home system And also worked fine for 2 days on holiday with me streaming Bluetooth from a Sony mp3 player. Now it is just dead. It won’t reset and is completely unresponsive whether it is on the charger or not. I have read through the forums and every suggestion either doesn’t work or is not applicable.  

Can I leave Roam on its wireless charging stand so it is ready all the time?  Will this hurt the battery?

When I use my Sonos move 2 with Bluetooth the sound keeps failing/pausing. Any suggestion to fixed it? I have an iPhone 15

Just got my Move 2 four days ago and have kept it on the charger since I got it. It’s never fully charged, got to 97% and now it’s at 94%.  Is this normal?

Hello, I have received a Sonos roam SL but I don't manage to pair it with with Samsung A13 (Android version 13). Could you please help to use the Sonos ?

I usually play BBC sounds or SONOS Radio on my Move, controlled via my Samsung phone. I installed Spotify on the phone and it plays via my Bluetooth connected hearing aids. It appears on the list of options on Sonos but will not play via the Move, only hearing aid. How do I activate it on Move? Nothing has worked so far.
