Device setup issues and lack of customer support. Does anyone work on the support team?

Sonos employees that monitor the board are marked as such.  The volume of issues with the new app is surely overwhelming support at this time.  You may want to look around and see if others in the community have the same issue, and possible solution, to the problem you’re having.  Or post details of your issue to see of someone has advice.
