My Samsung - 65" Class S90C OLED TV will not play sound on Sonos Beam

I had Best Buy Geek Squad set up my TV and Sonos Beam. It worked fine for a week. Now I cannot get the TV to play sound through the Sonos Beam.I have gone through the setup several timesUnplug everything and replug into outlet. In the Sonos app I followed the instructions Connect HDMI cable to Sonos Beam Connect HDMI cable to HDMI ARC port Clicked the ‘Connected to ARC’ button I’m told to ‘Use your TV remote to turn on ARC Mode in sound settings’ - I go to TV and tried steps 3, 4, 5 several ways. I Click on ‘Test Connection’ I get message ‘ARC Mode not connected’ In the Samsung TV I go to All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Enable ‘Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) Going to All Settings > Sound > Sound Output > (My only choices are TV Speakers, Receiver(Optical), and Bluetooth) - I kept it a TV Speakers. Going to All Settings > Sound > Expert Setting > I have tried ‘HDMI eARC Mode both as ‘Off’ and ‘Auto’ - When I pick ‘Auto’ the Sonos Beam plays but

unable to connect to wifi

So I recently moved to an apartment that has a built in wifi in the units (whitesky communications). I can’t connect any of my speakers on the app. It was suggested that I get a second router? I’ve tried the TP decos w2400 but that didn’t work. Anyone know any specific routers that might work/help me out 😩😩😩😩😩.

Our Samsung remote used to run the volume on the Sonos Playbar.

The optical cable got removed by accident and now the remote will do everything except volume. We have two basic Samsung remotes and they do the same thing. They change channels, and move through menus on the TV and the PS5.Both DirecTV remotes work correctly. I went through the Sonos app and the Samsung remote passed the test (press the volume button) and lit the light on the Playbar at the end of the test, but then it does not adjust the volume, or light the light.Optical comes up on the TV screen. This remote worked before the cable got knocked loose. I noticed that when the optical cable comes out (testing) that things change in setup on the TV and PS5 and I have to adjust them.We did most of the testing with the settings in a PS5 for compatibility. TV is set to optical for audio out. Using PCM. HDMI from PS5 to TV is in HDMI 4 which has an icon of a game controller on the label.I paired the Samsung remote with the TV and it controls the sound.Help!

Switching ERA 300 from stereo pair to Surrounds

I just received a pair of ERA 300’s.Eventually,  I intend to use them a surrounds with an ARC and Sub, but first I want to hear what they sound like as a stereo pair. Hopefully, Sonos is working on a solution which will allow us to switch for stereo pair to surrounds, but in the meantime, to switch from stereo pair to surrounds must I revert to initial factory settings? I’m sorry if this question has already been posed.

SUB (gen3) not turning on when ARC is running

HI, I had this installed last year by the Best Buy Team.  My tv, ARC and Sub (gen3).   i realize now that the SUB gen3 is not on.  I tried to use the ap,but still no sound.  Its plugged in.  Is it supposed to turn on automatically when the TV and arc come on?   How do I get this working again?   Any advice would be helpful.  Thanks!

Replace One SLs with Era 300 as surround with couch against the walll

I saw a number of other couch against the wall posts but they were too specific to others situations, so here’s mine.  I have a movie room with the Arc, Sub and 2 One SLs. Our couch is against the rear wall and can’t be moved forward. I’m considering upgrading the One SLs with two Era 300s for atmos surround. Our ceilings are low (about 8’) and the Arc sits on a media console pulled to the front edge. The couch does have a healthy width back and arm rests so we do get pushed forward a bit but not enough to have the speakers actually behind us.  i have the One SLs mounted ear height over each arm rest and angled towards the center of the couch/slightly down and they sound good.  They’re mounted to the drywall with the Midlite mounts with in wall hidden cable system.  Would you recommend mounting the Era 300s with wall mounts near the same place but just have them square and level to the front of the room? One issue is they need to be stud mounted, so the right speaker (right when lookin

Not able to get 5.1 only stereo pcm. Sonos beam and one sl’s connected. I have a Sony tv that supports hdmi arc. Have used hdmi and optical line to connect sound. just no 5.1 any help much appreciated - very frustrating  cheers Paul

problema sonido

Cuando en la Tv pongo la opcion q se escuche el sistema de sinido Sonosme queda el volumen super alto en la barra y no hay manera de bajarloosea bajo el volumen pero no hace nada, queda siempre en el maximo de altoya cambie el cable optical y sigue igualq puede ser?

My BEAM sound system disappeared from my system

Good morning,I've been using my BEAM sound system with a duo of ONE SL speakers as a "home cinema" for a while.But for the past week or so my SONOS BEAM has been disappearing from my system all the time.It is connected by wire (tested via wifi but nothing changes).It is also connected via HDMI arc.  Bonjour,J'utilise mon sonos BEAM avec un duo de baffle ONE SL comme "home cinema" depuis un moment.Mais depuis une semaine voir un peu plus mon SONOS BEAM disparait tout le temps de mon système.Elle est connectée en filaire (testé en wifi mais change rien).Elle est connectée en HDMI arc également.

Trouble with LG Magic Remote (OLED65G26LA 2022) connection with Sonos Playbar

I have checked various related topics and tried a number of different things and below is where I’ve got to without success.Set the sound output to optical Setup the optical output to Sonos on the LG TV Setup the remote in the Sonos app whilst the TV was off (only way it would work)Result is that the remote works with the Playbar whilst the TV is off when playing music, but as soon as I turn on the TV it stops working. I get the volume +/- signs but no white light on the playbar and no change in sound up or down. Does anyone have any other advice about how to get this setup properly, as I can’t face using another remote to operate the sound?

gen3 sub on my beam + ones surround setup doesnt really give much bass

So I have a surround setup, beam, ones and a gen3 sub. I've never really been blown away by it. I like listening to bassy music that I can feel in my body. I don't really get much bass from my setup though. Even if I crank the bass in my sub to +10 it still barely goes on. This is from Spotify direct on my phone, tv Spotify app, or Spotify through the Sonos app. All the same results. The sub is working, but I have to stand over it nearly to feel a good amount of bass.  I also went to my friends house who has an arc and a sub and we turned up some music and my body was literally shaking.  I've tried all different settings in the Sonos app btw, and I don't have truplay

Sonos app for LG TV?

Hi. Just installed ARC, mini sub, and 2x era 100s. I've got the Sonos app for my Pixel 8 (android), looking for an old iPhone or iPad to set up true play, and now wondering... Can the Sonos app be installed on LG TV's (C3)? ​​I don't want to always have my phone with me in order to change sub settings, turn on/off night mode, etc. Would be nice if I could do that from the TV. Or... Can Google Assistant be set up to send voice commands to the Sonos?

Beam not automatically connecting to TV via ARC

I have had an ongoing issue that has always existed with this hardware pair.  I have a Beam that simply will not automatically connect to the TV sound that it is connected to via HDMI/ARC.  I must go into the Sonos app, select the Beam, and tell it to connect to TV as source. It says I need to fix the connection. It asks if it is connected to ARC. I say yes. It looks for the ARC.  It eventually finds it, although not always on the first attempt.  This can happen any time the TV has been powered off, even when the Beam has not connected to anything else or been in a group.  I don’t know if I need to trash the Beam or the TV (a recent model Insignia brand).Any ideas of something to try would be appreciated.  TIA.

Connecting Amp and Beam to TV

Hoping to gain some insight on how to set up my system. I currently have a Sonos Amp powering 2 Klipsch in ceiling speakers in my family room. I use it primarily to stream music but also use the speakers occasionally through the TV. The speakers play through the Line In input on the Amp that is connected to my Xfinity box. However, I just purchased a Beam soundbar to use with my tv as well. I connected this to to the TV via HDMI ARC. So, when I play the TV through the Beam and also turn on the ceiling speakers, there is a noticeable delay in the ceiling speakers. I suspect it is because they are playing through line in. Any advice on how I should set this all up to work correctly? I see a bunch of literature saying this can be done, but little to no literature stating HOW it should be done. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Removing from and adding new products to a system

Hello,And thank you in advance for your help. I have this as my current Sonos system:All physically in one space, but divided up into two rooms in the app.Room One: Arc + a stereo pair of Move 2sRoom Two: Two Fives (set as surrounds) + 2 Sub 3sI am about to purchase another set of Fives and for the time being, I would like to replace the two Moves. How would I best go about doing this? I want to put the two new Fives with the Arc. I haven’t messed around with removing products so I am hoping with guidance from some advanced Sonos users, I can avoid muddling my way and making a total mess of things. Any help is very much appreciated. Sonos Sub Woofer Not Powering up (GEN 2)

All of a sudden my Sonos sub woofer stopped receiving power.  I literally never had an issue with my Sonos system until this happened.  I’ve read all of the topics about resetting it.  That isn’t the problem.  I need help powering the darn thing back up. What can I do?  Are there any repair shops that can look at this?  I contacted support and they want my sub for a 30% off a new one?!?!!??? Not!

arc & one sl surround replaced by era 300 no crowd noise watching football

hi,one sl surround gave me crowd noise on live sky/tnt football. using era 300 this seems to have gone ?.netflix i get dolby atmos confirmed on s2 app & surround audio.has the era 300 some how restricted surround audio as all i see on app is dolby digital  2.0.hope this maks some sort of sense.thanks

Only Stereo PCM from Apple TV 4K through Samsung TV; Want DD5.1!

For the past year I’d been able to get Dolby Digital 5.1 on my Sonos Arc SL from my Apple TV 4K via my Samsung UN46B7100 TV, optical audio outport to Sonos Arc.About a month ago I stopped getting 5.1 and can only get Stereo PCM. Tried with multiple different apps that normally gave 5.1 (Netflix, Disney+, Max), but all only yield Stereo PCM.Seeking any advice to get the 5.1 back! I want to hear TIE fighters coming from behind!My Apple TV is set to “Change Audio Format: On, Dolby Digital 5.1” in Settings → Video and Audio Settings.My TV is set to “external speakers”, which enables the optical audio out port to the Sonos Arc. Interestingly, when I looked up the TV manual, I saw the below text:“When the Home Theater receiver is set to On, you can hear sound output from the TV’s Optical jack. When the TV is displaying a DTV(air) signal, the TV will send out 5.1 channel sound to the Home theater receiver. Sonos Playbar with Roku TV

Just purchased a Roku 65” TV, Roku remote will not control my Sonos Playbar for volume. I can however still use my Directv remote to control the Sonos Playbar. Any suggestions how to get the Roku remote to control my Sonos Soundbar? I prefer to only use one remote.
