I have existing S1 products and never had any problems all wired with Ethernet.Just bought Beam, and three other components for TV surround.Got the Beam. The S2 app sees it when add product but the next step takes forever while the device is making the loud “chimes” and then disconnects.I have say I can only get to that point after powering off all of the S1 product because the lame S2 app always just sends me to the S1 app.To add to the confusion. The S1 app can try to add the Beam as well. With it I can pick add product, it shows the Beam and when it gets to the point it says to press the “infinity symbol” button and hear chime, I do that, it waits a min or so and gives me an error.I‘ve tried all suggestions I can find in knowledge base and community. Went through the chat bit to create a ticket.I am not liking what I’m seeing so far especially with the different apps. It seems running S1 and S2 doesn’t really work very well.Any thoughts, suggestions, similar experiences?I spent $150
I have an existing Sonos 2 network throughout my home, including a Beam + Sub + Sonos Amp for surrounds in my family room, and other Sonos speakers around the house. I am installing a projection TV in my bedroom and bought a new Beam for it, but would also like to use some existing speakers for rear surround. I have an older ConnectAmp that I would like to use to power those. If I use a wired ethernet connection between the Beam and the ConnectAmp will that work for driving the surround speakers even though the ConnectAmp is not compatible with the newer Sonos 2 wireless network?
I have an Epson 2100 Home Cinema Projector and I do not think it has an HDMI ARC port. I have a fire stick connected to it right now and want to add in the brand new Sonos Beam 5.1 system I just received. I ordered a 3x1 HDMI Switch with TOSLINK Optical SPDIF & RCA L/R Audio Out, 3 Port HDMI Audio Extractor Splitter with Remote, Supports ARC, 4kx2k@30hz, Full 3D, 1080P on amazon as well as a Monoprice Certified Premium HDMI Cable - White - 15 Feet | 4K@60Hz, HDR, 18Gbps, 28AWG, YUV 4 and a Toslink Digital Optical Audio Cable, GearIT Pro Series TOSLINK Digital Optical Audio Cable 15 Feet for HDTV, PS3, Tivo, Sound Bar, Stereo Receiver and Home Theater System - White .Can anyone help me be successful in this endeavor? I got my Sonos Arc, Sub3, OneSL to all connect to my Sony tv and Apple 4K box flawlessly before Christmas. Earlier this month, I inadvertently allowed the tv to update the Android OS and now I have had nothing but troubles. I haven’t checked all of the various posts but here are my observations and issuesConnecting the tv and sonos via wifi and the network strength seems healthy The tv would switch to the Sonos system at the beginning (1 week ago) and now it can’t even find it (today). Sometimes it would drop the connection. I have unplugged everything except my Arc and the TV (eArc port which is hdmi3). I can stream music to my speakers from my iPhone The app can’t find the tv nor does the tv find the sound system. I have unplugged it and switched cables but still not sure. If I switch to hdmi 3, I get a picture/pattern similar to the ones you see on the sonos box.So now I am thinking that there is a bug either in the Android OS or the Sonos S2 app on my iPhone. Not sure what are
I have a Sony X900h and Sonos Arc connected via eArc and both of them updated to the latest settings. Occasionally I’ll get sound drops from the arc where it cuts out for about 5-15 seconds. I don’t have to do anything as it’ll come back on its own eventually but there’s no rhyme or reason it seems. Here are a couple of diagnostics I took after it happened. 611569649 455238316 1830209319I’d appreciate it if any ‘mods’ stopping by were able to take a look at these.
I have a Sonos Amp + Third Party Sub + 2 x One SL rear speakers.Below a certain volume, that isn’t zero, the audio completely cuts out (screenshots below shows the lowest level that gives output). The slider still slides further along before hitting mute at the end, it just has no effect on output, as it’s already silent. This means it isn’t possible to adjust the system to run quieter than a level that is - sometimes at night - too loud. This issue does not affect my other rooms (Play:3 in one, Play:1 in the other), including if I group them with the Amp.Is this expected behaviour, or a bug? Hi,I want to setup a home theater setup using a Beam + 2 sl’s and a sub all on S2. All speakers are detected but I am unable to add the sl and the sub to the theater setup. Speakers are placed in the same room. The configuration takes ages (both sub and sl’s) and fails after a while. The speakers and sub are removed from the app and I have to start all over again. If I setup a stereo pair with the sub everything works fine. The beam works also perfect with the tv. system is on the same wireless netwerk Channel is 11, WiFi=1. So 5 separated connection to all speakers is excellent to good all speakers are on s2 Version 12.2.2
Having issues with my Vizio M507-G1 and just-purchased Sonos Arc and Sub Gen 3. Everything is up-to-date.Essentially, when I configure the Digital Audio Out to anything but PCM (which is just stereo...), the audio breaks up and there is a lag I cannot fix. Didn’t do this with previous Vizio soundbar.Does anyone have a similar setup with this all working how it should that can share their settings, please. My current ones are below: Speakers: OffVolume Control Display: OnSurround Sound: OffVolume Leveling: OffBalance: 0Lip Sync: 0Digital Audio Out: PCMAnalog Audio Out: VariableThanks in advance.
I have a Play 5 gen 1 (wired to router) & 2no Play 1s paired, in room 1, using S1 controller.I added a Beam (wired to router £ connected to TV) in room 2. It requires S2 controller.Since the installation of the Beam, the S1 controller continually requires upgrading to S2. S2 does not recognise the Play 5 so I've reverted to S1 in room 1. The S1 controller no longer sees the music library on my NAS which is my main source of music, and the main reason why I have a NAS.I am prepared to have two separate systems in rooms 1 & 2 if necessary, but I want my Play 5 to work, and I want access to my NAS.Can someone with more knowledge of the Sonos system help? I feel that I've introduced a cuckoo into my Sonos nest. Thanks in advanceDesmac
I have just set up my new Arc using my Play 1's as surround speakers but I only seem to be able to get PCM stereo output from the native TV apps like Amazon Prime and BBC iplayer etc and I am testing it out on their high quality HDR 5:1 content. The TV doesn't seem to be passing through the digital 5:1 signal... I have tried an alternative HDMI cable but it’s just the same.My Tv is a Panasonic HZ1000 and its configured with the hdmi cable connected directly from the soundbar to the TV's inbuilt eArc socket. In the TV settings the audio auto sets to home theatre and dolby atmos output is set to on. There is also a setting that allows me to choose Auto, Dolby or PCM. If its set on Dolby or Auto there is no sound at all but switch to PCM and I get stereo only.I have just upgraded from a Playbar that had no problems getting 5:1 digital (not atmos of course) from the native TV apps but now i'm only able to output stereo.Iv probably missed something glaringly obvious but has anybody experien
Hello all, Recently got Samsung The Frame (2020) and Sonos ARC. Sound started cutting out for 10 seconds then playing one second of sound in loops like that. many hours to both companies support. Both made me do hard updates. No real change. No fix. Does anyone know if this is fixable. Actually fixable. I want to keep the arc but if it don’t work I have to take it back before my return policy runs out. Many posts on here about it but all 6 months or more ago. thank you for any insight.
I have the Sonos Arc plugged into the HDMI(ARC) port on the tv, Simple-CEC enabled and ARC is working, no trouble reported in the S2 app. After I ran the TruePlay setup I started Disney+ and tried some Marvel movies. They show up in the HD report as Atmos movies, but the summary cards only show DolbyVision and 5.1 - no Atmos anywhere.I then found that I could add Disney + to the Apple TV app, did that, and then the movies show up as Atmos in that. I started up a couple of movies and I still get 5.1 sound.I’m about to order a new TV, but before I do that I read a few threads here on the forum and found that lots of people are having trouble with aTV4k. What should I do to check things out prior to spending even more money on this sound debacle?
I have a sonos beam connected to our Samsung tv. It was working fine but disconnected somehow. Now I can’t get it to connect to the tv anymore. I can play music through WiFi but it won’t recognize the tv anymore. I’ve tried unplugging and restarting and redoing the setup process through S2 app.
one sl sonos regularly disconnect from surround. composition: beam, sub and two one sl. When it is happening i have to restart all one sl and reconnect them. it also very difficult to connect the one sl to the beam. It takes a lot of time. i buy them 2 weeks ago and surround was working two days. I see this is a problem that has been around for a long time.my mobile is an iPhone 12 pro max and the router is a Netgear Orbi RbK 23 when can we hope a solution ?
Hi All Sorry for long story but I need to explain it from beginning.I recently purchased Beam and Sub gen 3 all brand new from shop. The first problem which I had was the Sub gen 3 I could not set it up and get it work. Once I managed to get it work I could not add it to beam for surround system included with mine another Sonos ones. I did not had any problem setup the Beam or sonos ones only the Sub was kicking all the time it can not be added. Well finally somehow I managed to add the Sun gen 3 but it appears in app like question mark but it did worked and somehow next day it fixed his self and I could see sub there in app. Well today 08.12.2020 we had app update and it did fail on mine Sub well I am very confused because when I went back to the app it says there is no update needed. I never had any issues with any other sonos product like set it up or update it and I am bit worried if the sub is not faulty or at least the hardware in it. It looks like it works but no guarantee for h
Dear Sir/Madam,I hope all is well. I am having an issue with my Sonos One SL. It worked great for the first month or so, however recently I have encountered problems with it.I often cannot connect to it as it keeps getting disconnecting from the Wi-Fi network. I then proceed to reconnect it to the Wi-Fi by plugging out my Wi-Fi router and then reconnecting the sonos device to the Wi-Fi wirelessly. It works great for the rest of the day but disconnects the following day. What can I do to solve this problem? I was considering buying more sonos speakers but this problem is a bit off putting….Kind Regards,Mary
I received my Gen3 sub and paired it with Arc sometime ago, and I noticed that whenever something is payed through the TV, the sub will make this constant tickling noise like a bad PC fan. I have seen another thread about this problem, and I requested an RMA for replacement. The second sub I received have the exact same problem(even a bit worse than the first one).At this point I am not sure if I should spend more time requesting for another replacement. The noise is not noticeble from more than a meter away, but if you stick your ear close enough to the opening you can hear it. I have updated my system to the new 12.1 software, and it did not help. If this is indeed a widespread problem I think sonos should provide a solid solution for it. What is more, the problem is inconsistant with the content I played. If I play music through airplay or the sonos s2 app, the sub makes a hissing noice which is much less pronounced than the tickling noise it makes when playing through TV. I wonder
I have bought a new Sonos Beam to act as a sound bar for my TV but need the Sonos app to set it up. B But I already have Sonos1 products (2x Connect:Amp) on my network (and want to keep them). This means apparently that I need to split Sonos1 and Sonos products, fine by me. But the instructions tell me that I first have to remove the S1 products from the S1 app. This page: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4829?language=en_US tells me that I have use the S1 app on my phone (android) and go Settings/System/System Tools then tap on “Remove products”. However there is no remove products options in this menu. The S1 app is up to date. Anyone have any ideas?
Hi, I’m wondering if anyone can test this tv show and let me know if their sub buzzes/rattles during a specific scene. In Westworld Season 3 Episode 1 about 23 minutes in is a scene where Bernard is diagnosing himself. There is a really low frequency being played during this scene that causes my sub to make an awful buzz/rattle noise. I’m wondering if it’s just my sub or if it happens for everyone. I tried checking and there doesn’t appear to be anything loose inside the sub and other content sounds fine as far as I can tell. I’ve reset the EQ and turned off true play and it still rattles during this scene. The volume is only set to about 15% or so. I tried talking with chat support and sent them video proof of the problem and also sent in diagnostics. They said the diagnostic shows nothing wrong and told me to post here for help(which I find very unhelpful by the way). Thanks in advance!
