Home Theater

Yesterday I  downloaded Macbook 15.0.1 to my macbook and now the sonos sound bar cannot be connectd to tv output.  Any ides,  It was fine before downloading this latest version.

Weird question, I know. I’m considering getting rid of my “traditional” 5.1 surround system after being blown away by a friend's Sonos Arc Soundbar and Era 300 set upHowever, my living area has a glass lantern (window) in the ceiling, which sits right above the space right in between where the soundbar will sit and the rear speakers. The glass lantern is pitched up and has 4 sides, meaning that the sound from the upfiring tweeters will hit some flat ceiling area, as well as 4 different faces of the lantern surface, before bouncing its way back down to earth. My concern is that this will be too complex a set of surfaces for the software to deal with and I’ll find the Spatial Audio to be awful in my room set up.Does anyone have any experience of a similar set up, or can speak with confidence on what the expected results would likely be?Any thoughts appreciated!

Hi there I have just moved my beam in to the conservatory but I can’t seem to get it to work. The TV out there is a JVC model LT-32C461. Can someone help. Is my TV too old to be compatible?

Does anyone know if you can pair the Sonos Move 2 to any of the soundbars and make them a surround system?

Hello, this morning my sonos beam gen1 stopped to workKnowing the low quality of the service, I’ve expected that there was some problem. After some tests, I’ve decided to reset the device. Now I cannot even make it connect to the networkI’ve sent a diagnostic Il numero di conferma è: *********.Any chance it comes back on line? Moderator edit: recorded and removed diagnostics number

HiI currently have an ARC, Sub gen 2, and 2x Era  300 as surrounds. They are currently in a detached room and i absolutely love watching movies “as they are meant to be watched” We may soon be moving to a semi detached house which will mean my set up will be in a room joined to a neighbor and i am worried my levels my be a problem so i am looking for advice on placement and vibration mitigation.Worst case scenario, i have purchased the Ace headphones but i would obviously prefer to not use them all the time.Any ideas anyone ?

I have a Sony XR-65X90CJ, Playbar/5.1 setup, Xfinity X1 cable box with the XR15 V2 UQ remote. I am using the S2 app and system as of now.   I have set up the XR15 remote as the remote for the Sonos system, but it is not working correctly.  And now, in the S2 app, I can’t even find the place where I originally set up the remote (this link: https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/control-sonos-home-theater-with-your-tv-remote - does not match what I see in my S2 app).   So 1) I can’t seem to disconnect the remote and try again.  2) FYI - I am connected via optical, set to PCM (which on this TV is always fixed).  I have the TV output set to max. The TV speaker are off and the output is set to home theater. When I lower or raise the volume on the TV using the Xfinity - the numbers on the TV go up and down - sometimes it changes the volume, sometimes not.  I often have to go into the Sonos app and use the volume slider which also responds in odd increments and weirdly out of synch with the n

Hey Smart People!I've just pre-ordered the ARC Ultra, which I'd like to use with two ERA300 in surround sound. My problem is that the video comes from a video-projector (Hisence C1) which is in the back, on the same wall as the ERA300s, 5 meters from the soundbar (and the screen) with no possibility of pulling an HDMI cable between the two.Is there a solution to make all this work in home-theatre mode? Ideally, I'd like to be able to enjoy Dolby Atmos, but at the very least, I'd like the surrounds to be active as surrounds, and not just speakers rocking the same stream as the ARC Ultra.

True play won’t set up with new Arc

I have the Arc SL, 2 One SLs, and a sub setup as my surround system. They have all worked flawlessly until today. The lights on the Ones and the Sub started blinking as if they lost power and now they no longer play sound. App shows them all as connected and running the current updates. I have removed and added them back to the network with no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wondering, do Sonos swap my Sonos Arc to New Sonos Arc Ultra if  add extra money covering difference? or its only option to sell my one somewhere else, keeping in mind my one is in excellent condition inc. original package.

Anyone know if the Arc wall mount will be compatible with the Ultra. I really don't fancy drilling more holes in my wall. Hopefully the existing mount will work.

Hi everyone I ask you if you can tell me which speakers Arc is compatible withI have move2, One, Five gen 2 and Roam

Hi - looking for help as I haven’t found a solution online. I am hanging a Samsung Frame above a fireplace. I have power where the TV is going and would like to install a recessed box with power behind the TV. I need to mount a Sonos Arc underneath the TV and run power up to the TV that meets code. I don’t have power below or near the soundbarA solution like Legrand or other dual outlets won’t work as I don’t see how that can hook into the recessed box. Seems as if a single connection option is needed - power from recessed box at TV down to soundbar.i have to assume there is a solution. Any ideas someone could help with?Thank you very much!

For the past few years, my both my playbars attached to identical TVs have worked fine, then a few months ago, they both started stuttering playing TV audio.  3-10 seconds of stuttering, or choppy audio every 5-10 minutes.  It suspect a sonos software issue that was introduced in an upgrade, but i don’t konw.  I tried reseting, powering off everything.  I tried lchanging the audio format, I tried compressed Audio, I changed to Stereo (which would be dumb as everything is supposed to support surround)  I have a playbar, sub, a one and a one SL in each room, both have the same problem.  All apps have the same problem, the TVs are TCL.

Prior to the new Sonos app, when speech enhancement was turned on, it stayed on until turned off. Now I find it gets turned off randomly so I end up checking it every time my television is turned on. Curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Hello, I currently have a Samsung tv that does not support optical. First step in my troubleshooting was to buy the Sonos official optical adapter. Adapter did not support E-Arc nor did it support sound. After speaking with Samsung support they said I’m going to need an Audio extractor that is powered so that the e arc channel can register power is applied. Non of these options have worked. I’m pretty competent with reading schematics as I’m an Aviation Electrician, however this Sonos system is very limited and I just bought this tv and my Sonos ray is outside of its return policy. Any tips or troubleshooting I can do on my end to get these systems to work?

Bonjour  j ai une karaoke branche au TV puis TV connecter au SONOS ARC.(câble HDMI)Problème les sons du micro est retardé que le son du chanson?comment  je résoudre le problème.

Like many on here I have an issue with intermittent cutting out of Era 100.Purchased Beam & 2 Era 100 speakers for tv. Set up no issues, but when playing TV Era speakers intermittently drop sound. Assumed network so upgraded Sky to guaranteed high WiFi in every room including (new router)  (at a cost), no improvement, at times it drops all sound for several seconds. Spent half my life it seems in chat with Sonos to be told to sit in a queue to talk to someone despite going through every diagnostic with chat support. Stil no closer. Even replaced era speakers with existing play 1 speakers and same issue occurs. Rebooted everything, reconnected everything and feel £900 wasted so far. It’s almost u listenable. Works ok for music, Spotify etc, but for tv it’s intermittent drop out since installation. Sonos seem to know about issue but customers are not getting solution. So, anyone help as I feel left and abandoned with a system that I cannot listen to.

Hi. I currently have a playbar, sub mini and two one SL as surrounds. If I replace the playbar with a beam gen 2 would I get atmos ? Are the SL’s compatible with atmos setup ? Thanks for reading.

My beam gen 2 is less than a year old and apart from initial connection issues at the start it has been working fine since. However I unplugged the beam to change the TV wall mount and since then it's not working at all. There are times it just starts working itself if left connected but then cuts out randomly or the remote stops working. I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting a number of times. Turning settings off and on again. Running the set up through the Sono app. None has worked. Running the set up on the app now says it can't locate the arc connection. It's 100% in the right hdmi port. I'm at loss of what to do next other than get rid of the bloody thing and buy a different one. My TV is LG C2, I'm using the hdmi cable provided with the beam. Any help will be massively appreciated please.

Hello, I have my old Playbase & one surrounds connected to my PC via optical cable to audio adapter. So optical cable from Playbase to adapter, then adapter connected to pc via USB. Everything was working great until updates last week. Windows 11 updated as did Sonos and now no sound from speakers. I contacted Sonos support and got this answer saying I basically screwed and it will no longer work. I’m new to this so thought I’d check here to see if people agree before bailing on my Sonos. I’m using curved monitor that does not have optical cable connection. I’ve tried to connect via wifi and my computer sees the Sonos but won’t play sound.  Any help would be appreciated

After the last update my optical connection with my video projector doesn’t work any more. The assistance says that the problem didn’t came from the update, but everything works fine until now. Very disappointed about the support and the fact we can not downgrade to solve a bug they made.

I can no longer get any sound from my TV on my Sonos ARC since the app update. I can play music but nothing from the TV. It illustrates that sound is coming through but I can hear nothing. Any ideas

I’ve had a Sonos Beam for several years, hooked up to a system to allow me to play output from my computer. This required a bit of tinkering to get right! I had to:Buy a device that converts USB → SPDIF Get a SPDIF → HDMI converter Connect all that up so that I had USB → SPDIF → HDMI → HDMI into the BeamSince getting that sorted it has worked great! Until yesterday, when suddenly I could no longer get any audio through this setup :(. In all other respects the Beam works fine - I can connect to it through the app and play audio that way, and it correctly makes noises when I press the buttons.Things I’ve tried to fix the problem:Unplug and replug all of the various connections Reboot computer Reboot Beam Fiddle around with the audio output settings from my computer (as far as I can tell they are all fine) Rotate the HDMI-HDMI cableI’m pretty sure that everything is fine as far as the USB->SPDIF converter, because you don’t have an optical cable plugged in you can see the red light tha
