Hi all!I have a Samsung UE55AU8000 television which is connected to a Sonos Ray via optical cable.This system has worked fine for the last year, but last week (I’m sure it was after performing a Sonos update) the volume buttons on the Samsung remote stopped controlling the Ray.When it first happened, it would only let me increase the volume. Then it would show the Sonos volume up and down indicators on the screen, but the volume wouldn’t change. Now, pressing the volume up and down buttons on the remote doesn’t do anything at all apart from show ‘Optical’ on the screen.i have tried the following:Remote Control Setup - this just says ‘Your TV remote is already set up. Would you like to set up another one?’ and when I try to set up another one, pressing volume up, it says ‘We didn’t detect a signal from your TV remote.’Powering off all devices at mains for a few minutes then powering back on - this didn’t fix anything. Would really appreciate any help!Thanks!

Has anybody had success using an Arc for TV sound along with a third party Sub and surrounds powered by Amp?  I am having a challenging time integrating the two systems to play at the same time, Sonos app seemingly makes me choose one system or the other to play when watching tv and getting sound from TV’s hdmi Arc —> Sonos Arc. 

Trying to connect new Sub Mini to Beam Gen 2, will not connect. 

Hello all, I got a new sonos beam for Christmas and I love it!  When I connect it to my Yaber K2s projector it plays great.  The only problem is the projector only has one HDMI output, and I am looking to use the sound bar when playing Xbox or streaming something on my Google Chromecast.  I bought an Orei UHDS-402A matrix switch (here's the Amazon link for the one I purchased) and while the video plays through perfectly the sound plays through the built in speakers of my projector, and doesn't output through the Beam like I believe I have set up correctly.  My setup is as follows: Inputs: Google Chromecast, Xbox one HDMIOutputs: beam, projector I've also tried hooking up the beam with the optical, but that hasn't worked either. Any help on this would be appreciated!!

I’m having trouble connecting my Sub Mini to my Beam. Everything was working fine before I left town for a few days, but when I returned, the Sub Mini wouldn’t connect at all.I’ve already tried unplugging and plugging it back in, rebooting my WiFi, and factory resetting the Sub Mini. I was able to add it back to the system, and it briefly let me adjust the audio settings, but then it disappeared again and showed as “Sub Mini is not connected.”The status light is on and solid. I even tried connecting the Sub Mini directly to the Ethernet, but still no luck.Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a solution?

Hi everyone,I was looking for a related issue here but couldn’t find anything.I recently purchased a Sonos Beam Gen. 2 and a Sonos Sub Mini, which I wanted to connect to my TV.After setting up the Beam Gen. 2, I added the Sub Mini, and everything worked perfectly fine in terms of sound quality. I received a deep, very rich bass and was super impressed.However, after unplugging the Sub to do some cable management and then reconnecting it, the Sub failed to deliver the strong bass it had just 10 minutes earlier. I could barely notice a difference in sound whether the Sub was on or off when playing music through the Beam. I tested with Techno and Rock via Spotify over WiFi, so there should have been plenty of bass. Additionally, I tried it with my PS5 and the actual TV, which is connected to the Beam via eARC.The Sub is technically working, as I can hear a very faint bass if I put my ear right next to it.My Sub Mini is positioned in the corner of a 20 sqm room, with about 20 cm of space f

At present: I have the ultra ultimate immersive set; which includes 1. Arc ultra 1. Gen 4 sub 2. Era 300s… but I decided to give it a little bit of an upgrade and I got an +1 gen 4 sub, 2. Era 100s, and 1. Sonos boost it’s been great but for reasons I cannot fully explain I have just purchased 2 sonos amps. AND two of these. (The Martinlogan motion F2s’…. (I intend on using the two floor speakers as stereo)  I am decently familiar with at least some of the requirements to get as full features as possible. But how might I proceed to try and ensure I that I proceed in the way that would provide greatest feature set?  Please also note that my television has but one HDMI arc portThe intended local is my living room exclusively. My sonos arc routinely will drop sinal/sound. When watching TV, it will routinely drop the sound and go silent. After a few seconds of silence, my TV then reverts back to TV sound while the Sonos arc will flash white and then reboot itself and eventually return. The whole process takes about a min to reboot and is very annoying when watching a show with dialogue or a game. When I pair the arc with my Move to listen to music, it will routinely unpair and leave the move as the only device playing or derail the whole system, shut the music off and make me go back into the app to restart the music. Doubly annoying when I’m listening to a playlist and essentially have to reshuffle. Any help would be greatly appreciated. There have been no network changes since I installed this about a year ago.

I have a Playbar on Wifi in a room with speakers mounted to the wall. Those speakers are connected to an AMP (not Connect:AMP) in another room across the house. I want those speakers to act as a surround to my Playbar.The playbar works just fine on wifi. I have also installed the AMP on WiFi and can play music through those speakers just fine as standalone. However, when I then go into the Playbar and try to "Add Surrounds", the AMP gets kicked off WiFi and doesn't reconnectg. The 'add surround' process seems to go without any errors popping up. But afterwards, I can see that the old standalone AMP is still on the "System Settings" page with a status of disconnected. The Playbar shows that it has surrounds, but those surrounds are listed as missing. Nothing plays on the AMP speakers. I have to factory reset the AMP, then can reconnect, but have tried this sequence a few times with no different outcome. Recent purchase. Unable to get sound to Beam and there's no menu option to add the Beam as an external speaker. I'm using the eArc input 

I just connected a new TV to my Sonos surround sound, but I have no sound from the speakers

Just replaced the arc with the arc ultra and my 2 fives and 2 sub gen 3’s disappeared. I’ve reset them multiple times and my router and the app still can’t find them. Any advice? I’m very close to selling all of my speakers if they won’t work.

My room is dead silent, I keep getting this error when doing ‘quick tune’ - “something went wrong, we were unable to custom tune your arc ultra. Please try again”. Only advanced tuning works fine. I’ve tried 5 different devices including android and iOS.  I have Sonos arc ultra. Gen 4 sub, 2 x Era 300s 

I am planning to add an ARC soundbar on my living room TV. I already have 2 ERA 100 paired in that room. I understand my 2 ERA 100 will be able to play music as before and will be used as surround speakers when watching TV. How does this work? What happens if someone is watching TV and at the same time someone else in the house starts playing music in the living room ?I read I will have to unpair the 2 ERA 100 in order to add them as surround speakers. If I do that, what will happen when I want to play music in the living room?I want to make sure I understand everything before buying the ARC.

Trying to troubleshoot my in-laws Sonos PlayBar—not seeing it in the app. I reset the app (S1), nothing. Downloaded the newer app; didn’t see it. Plugged the Ethernet into the WiFi router, nada. Tried to reset the speaker itself by holding the play/pause and mute buttons down while I plugged it back in and the lights never changed from solid white. It hasn’t worked for him for a while—part of the problem is Verizon came in and installed a new router or something and now the optical cable is nowhere to be found. Replacing that is no problem but I should be able to connect the speaker to the local network and at least play music…  thoughts? 

HDMI connection randomly stopped working only airplay working now. Have unplugged and restarted several times. 

I recently bought the Arc Ultra mini sub and two Era 100 speakers. I use the Era 100s as surround speakers, but will their lack of Dolby Atmos support impact the overall surround sound experience?

Hi all looking for some help on how to get a 5.1 working (I think I know answer but would like confirm) current items:Sonos Beam Gen 1Sonos Sub Gen 2Sonos One SL (two) I tried to add two sonos era 100’s today but obviously they didn’t add to the beam gen 1 system on my tv since it only supports 2 speakers.  Question is, if get a new beam, will that solve my issues?  Will I be able to then do the 5.1 system? thoughts and insights appreciated.  thanks!

Hi Sonos Team,I currently have a Sonos Arc paired with two Era 300s and a Sub (Gen 3), and I’m absolutely loving the immersive Dolby Atmos experience. However, I’ve noticed that the system doesn’t currently support DTS-HD or DTS:X formats, which are still prevalent in Blu-rays and high-quality media content.Are there any plans to include DTS-HD and DTS:X support in future updates, or is this a limitation tied to hardware or licensing considerations? Adding this feature would significantly enhance the system’s versatility for home theater enthusiasts like me.Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

With a new setup of Arc ultra, 2 era 300 and a sub4, I only got sound from the arc ultra.Reset the era 300s and the sub and the arc ultra with out getting any surround. The setup of the components went fine, but only arc ultra gave sound. I put the sub 4 on ethernet, but no differance. As a last try, I put the arc ultra on ethernet cable too, and it all worked. Not sure why, but the cables made the system work.

Here’s my setup:Playbar 2 symfonisk speakers Apple TV & projectorI’m running a projector in my living room and have it connected to an Apple TV. I’m using the symfonisk to stream airplay 2 to my playbar. I’d love to use the symfonisk speakers as surrounds to the left and that right, but when I do that I lose the ability to connect them to the playbar. Anyone have any ideas of how to make that work? Or something easy to add to the system to make it work? 

I have just the bar in a small room when playing games back ground sounds like weather and any ambient audio is very quiet. When using atmos there is no directional audio it sounds flat in fact the atmos when i unhook the bar sounds better on my LG C1 and it even has some directional audio. Yet when i watch the same game on youtube the sonos beam sounds amazing even has good virtual surround i am so confused how a game sounds terrible from source with no directional audio and on youtube sounds great with pinpoint directional audio. Example: Battlefield 5 when i play it on xbox i can only just hear footsteps and when i do you have no idea what direction they are coming from. Now when i watch someone play it on youtube and any other game you can hear em clear as day and the whole game is surround sound it fills my room with sound this is so backwards ii bet you all don't believe me or know how to help.

I assuming arc ultra is compatible with sub3. I am using latest app from Apple App Store. ultra sound bar is set up and working fine. I try to add a sub 3 via the mobile app but the app search returns message: sub not found, make sure it’s powered in and connected to WiFi. How do I check if it’s connected to WiFi? 

Hi guys!Hope you're doing well and are having great holidays.I'm taking the time to ask the question since I have looked for a solution many times, sadly without finding an answer for this specific case.I have my computer (RTX 3080) connected to my Samsung TV (S95B) via HDMI (passthrough) and then to my ARC (via eARC). Sadly, Samsung doesn't support DTS, even passthrough. However, I still get stereo PCM.I'd like to know which Windows players allow the conversion of DTS to multichannel PCM. I've heard it's quite easy with some Blu-ray players, but with Windows players?I had a Nvidia Shield Pro with Kodi which was able to transcode - is there anything native on Windows that could do that?Many many thanks !!!
