Ray’s lack of recognition for TCL Roku IR remote

After a very frustrating phone call with Sonos customer support, I was finally told that my new Ray is not compatible with a TCL Roku IR remote.  Was told that Sonos  engineers are working in a fix.  Normally I would return this but I am 2 days out of the 30 day return window.  Does anyone know of a work around for this problem with the Ray? TIA

Use any other remote, and teach that to the Ray instead.

And that response from Sonos is odd. I can’t quite understand why a Sonos Ray wouldn’t recognize any IR remote. Unless for some reason the TCL isn’t actually sending an IR signal at all. But @controlav suggestion of using any other IR remote is sound to me.

Tried buying a knockoff TCL Roku IR remote for the TCL and the Ray won’t recognize that either.
