Sonos Gen2 beam disconnecting from Sony K50S30

I recently purchased a Sony K50S30 and a Sonos Gen2 beam.  Both were installed by a 3rd party from Best Buy.   The issue is that every time I turn the tv back on the sound is coming from the tv speakers.   I can disconnect the eARC/ARC and make the beam work that way or I can press the power button on the tv remote and do a restart or I can unplug tv and beam,  disconnect everything connected to tv, plug tv and beam back in then go to the Sonos App and select TV setup and follow those instructions and then it works.   All this just seems wrong for equipment I have only had for 2 weeks.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @EKali, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with your Sonos Beam disconnecting from your Sony TV.

Since the TV keeps reverting to the internal speakers, it’s likely a setting you’ll need to adjust on the TV itself. I had a look around and found a few people mention this same issue with Sony Bravia TVs (which from a quick google search, the K50S30 is). I would recommend following the steps listed on the best answer in this thread:

If that doesn’t work, it may be worth contacting Sony to see if there are any additional settings you can adjusts.

I hope this helps!

Hi Jamie.    Thanks for your reply.  I have noted your suggestion and will definitely give that a try.  I have had many conversations with Sony over the phone with no success.  Stay tuned.   Not quite ready to turn TV on yet.  😉😉

I have another question now that my Gen2 is working properly. Is it ok to plug my Roku 4K stick back into my Sony Bravia TV?.  I have read there might be issues.   If it's OK to do so please adise on how to so properly.   Thanks in advance.
