Why would you want more than one Trueplay profile?
Why would you want more than one Trueplay profile?
Because I always move the soundbar to different places during the evening and at night. I have to do Trueplay every day because I move the device to my bed at night. But if I can save two Trueplays, I don't have to measure Trueplay every day anymore.
I get annoyed having just having to clean my teeth before bed, let alone move a soundbar and run Trueplay!
This might indeed be a minority use case…..
Storing Trueplay profiles in the controller would create issues for those using multiple controllers. A user would need to fetch the controller that executed Trueplay for that area or all controllers would need to be brought together to be updated or execute Trueplay.
As another use case, it’s common for a single room to have multiple purposes and listening areas. Perhaps the room doubles as a home theatre space with a work desk in the corner, for example. It would be useful if you had different trueplay tuning profiles available to activated depending on how you’re using the room currently.
If it’s too cumbersome to store profiles in the cloud, then perhaps a way to share a profile with other controllers, some sort of peer to peer syncing, could be done.
I get that this is a bit beyond the original scope of trueplay, and that the audience would be limited, but I still want it.
