Sound drop outs with Sonos Arc and crackling. I bought my Sonos Arc a couple of years ago. It had this problem to begin with, however I changed the settings and unplugged everything including the wifi and then plugged everything back in and it has been working fine for about a year or so, however recently it has started happeneing again and I’m not sure why. I have done the same things as I did before however to no avail.  I’m hoping someone here can help me with this. Many Thanks.

Hi,I just replaced my Beam (Gen 2) by a Sonos Arc Ultra, in my home theatre system.But now, the Sub Gen 3 seems to be a lot less powerful.Before, with the Beam, when I pushed the Sub level adjustment to +2 or +3, i was able to balst the entire room… Now, even if I choose +8 on the Sub level adjustment, I feel it but very light. I can’t have the same “bass blast effect”.Obviously, I completely reinstalled the system in the App and reseted each element of my home theatre system when I installed the Arc Ultra (included x2 Era 100 at the back).Does anyone knows why this is happening (maybe someone at Sonos)...?Thanks a lot.

I have had this problem for weeks now and its driving me ABSOLUTELY insane:https://vimeo.com/1043974342/466fa81a16?share=copyOnce I got my Goole Streamer (basically same as Chromecast) I connected it to an HDMI Port on my Xiaomi F2 SmartTV. My Sonos Beam is connected to another HDMI Port (eArc Port).However, I quickly noticed that the picture was flashing back and forth - HDMI 1 (Chomecast) - black - HDMI 1 - No Signal - HDMI 1.....I also noticed, that most of the time, if I turn of CEC (which also does not let me control the TV (Sonos) volume anymore), this flashing usually stops a couple seconds after turning off CEC. If I turn CEC on again afterwards, it usually works for some time, until I randomly turn on my TV a couple hours later and its back to the same glitching again..Has anyone got an idea why this is happening? I

Found some varying answers from a historical forum search so I’m hoping to find some current opinions (as well as consolidation of my questions into one thread).I am looking to build a new system which I’m guessing will be a Beam (Gen 2), a Sub MIni and 2x Era 100s.   There is a chance that I might go Sub instead of Sub Mini but I don’t think this impacts my questions:I will most likely be looking at wall mounting the surrounds.  (This a room renovation so the electricians will put power outlets wherever I ask).   Would it be better to have the surrounds mounted on the side walls (but slightly behind the main viewing area) facing inward OR on the back wall facing forward? What features should I look for in a TV purchase to make this most compatible for this system? Is it correct to say that I don’t need any other components beyond the above for great home theater? Assuming the answer to 3) is “yes”, what else would I need if I c

Hello,Newbie here, first time posting and new to Sonos. I’m looking into installing a surround sound system in a medium to large open room for watching movies and playing music. Was thinking of getting the Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and a pair of Sonance 8” ceiling speakers with the Sonos amp. Using ceiling speakers due to wife doesn’t want to see  speakers on stands behind couch. Thank you for ,the assistance. Should I connect amp and Arc sound bar to router with network ?Will my Samsung tv remote control my audio in tv mode?

Hello. I don t understand why my AirPod stay 2 seconds connect to my tv and after disconnect to go to my beam. Even if I change the sound settings on my tv.

Dose it make sense to add a Mini sub to my Arc Ultra? Or do I just bite the bullet and get a Sub 3 or 4?Leaning towards the Mini,but will it work?

I am trying to connect a Ray soundbar to a relatively old TV.The TV has an SPDIF Out. But it is not working at all. I have tried to use an optical cable which has a mini Toslink connector at one end.Do I need to buy a separate converter?

Hi.I have a playbar that i  move to my cabin , i have uppgrade to arc ultra Home.I have problem with connecting the playbar , dont have sound out from my tv.And i have TRIED EVERYTHING , is there  some trick  some have ? i will be grateful. 

Hi. Installing a new system. For some reason it has established 2 systems on the same router. This means I cannot connect my 100s to the Arc Ultra (system2) as surround sound because they are claimed by system1. Tried  ‘forget’ function multiple times. Doesn’t work. Cannot find help completely deleting a system anywhere. HELP!!

I am building an master bedroom suite with a small home theater area.  Ideally I would like to use 2 sets of in wall speakers with 2 Sonos Amps and an in wall sub with it’s own amp.  However there would not be any Sonos voice control or audio swapping to the Ace headphones with this setup.I talked to a Sonos salesperson and she was not overly helpful.  She suggested using an Arc Ultra in the front.  Obviously it won’t be as nice aesthetically, but I also don’t think the sound quality would be as good.  It just seems that having the front speakers further apart is going to give better surround sound than a soundbar.Any ideas or suggestions?  

I have bought the Latest Sonos Ultra Arc Soundbar and looking for any advise someone has bought for a Televisions, size and make that also is of the same high Spec and shows off the quality's of the sound Bar 

Hi..i have apple tv connected to tv and then to arc ultra everytime i want to play lossless audio from apple music i get stereo pcm sound only and  if i stream with airplay 2 i get lossless.what is the problem why can’t i get it from apple tv..?i’m using sonos app.  

Does anyone else have this issue and do you have a solution? I have a 1st Generation Arc soundbar. Something I notice too often is that I will be listening to music on the Arc (with 2x Era surrounds) when the Arc suddenly stops playing music. For a while i thought this was down to bad wifi connection but then I started to notice the Sonos App has switched itself to "TV Audio" even though the TV is turned off.I wonder if the TV (or the connected Game Console) is "pinging" my Arc and causing this?I suppose I could turn off the power supply to the TV and Game Console and see if that stops it but that would be an inconvenient solution.I have noticed this occurring more frequently since last year's major update to the App. I rarely get through an album without it happening at least once.

Good afternooon,i have purchased a new (Samsung) TV which has no optical output and i wanted to connect the play bar via HDMI/SPDIF converter.TV’s audio ouput is the HDMI connected to the converter.The optical cable that goes into the playbar has a signal (red beam is on).In the Sonos App, the playbar shows SPDIF selectedUnfortunately the playbar stays quit.Does the optical input need some ‘special’ configuration ? Regards,Gaston 

Sonos not connecting to my 9 years old samsung TV, It has arc hdmi port as well. I have latest sonos app installed in the iphone. I have changed HDMI cables but no change. Is it possible my 9 years old TV is not compitable? 

Directv over internet LG smart tv Genie receiver and remote Alexa and Echo Playbar and one OneSLThese were all installed separately over a period of years.  All software current…no observable or reported hardware problemsLast piece of kit was the Genie remote. After install, it worked just fine...I could adjust the volume of the speakers in the app or by using the volume button on the remote. Then...it just stopped.  Could not adjust the volume with either the remote or the app.  Have had to go back to the tv internal speakers, and that ain’t no fun when you’re watching Apocalypse Now. I have tried everything I can think of...uninstall and reinstall everything and unplug and plug back.  No Love. Any thoughts...anyone? Paul

I always upgrade to the newest app the day it comes out but I already had the current one at that time which was the one before 80.17.09 and 80.17.07, and it did a system update to my new Arc Ultra.  The rear speaker balance sounded fine after I ran a full TruePlay on my system with two Era 300 rears and two Sub (Gen 3)s.(But why with the Arc Ultra is the option not allowed, greyed out, to adjust distance between surrounds which I never had different before anyway but previously I had it on 2ft to 10ft, and now it is greyed out on more than 10ft, or not allowed to change the phase of my subs, which should be independent by the way — as should volume, balance, bass, treble, and height controls be SEPARATE for Arc Ultra/Subs and SEPARATE for the Era 300 surrounds?)But once I did the system update to my hardware in 80.17.07 came the problem of the left era 300 being 10x louder than the right era 300 surround speaker!!!!  This is worse with TV Video than with music, as wit

I have a Sonos Arc hooked up to my TV, when I'm playing music and turn the TV on it keeps playing music. The company who installed it used an optical to connect the two and the HDMI for a distributed video system. Is there a way to fix this without having to switch from Optical to HDMI?Thanks for the help.

What are your experiences with trueplay on 2x era 300, arc and sub mini? Is trueplay really better? Or should I use my own settings? 

Dear all,thanks to the valuable help of this community, I have focused on my desired setup.I need one last piece of advice on how to connect everything.Here’s a description:on the wall/screen side, I have my internet box and will have an Arc Ultra (can’t wait) on the other side of the room, I have a projector, which has 1HDMI + 1HDMI eARC.  TV signal is provided by a decoder (UHD 4K/atmos) which can either be on the wall side (connected in ethernet to the internet box) or on the projector side (connected in wifi to the box). The decoder has one HDMI plug.One option I guess would be to have the decoder on the projector side, connected in wifi to the internet box, and to the projector through HDMI, and use the eARC port of the projector to connect to the Arc Ultra. But maybe the connection of the decoder through Wifi (6) will be a bit limitative.I was wondering
