Hi, I have the arc,gen3 sub I'm thinking of getting the era 100's for surround sound. My room is oblong 17ft by 8ft my settee is up against the wall)17ft so my seating is 6ft away from sound bar and TV, the eras will be roughly a foot behind me, will I still achieve suround sound or am I too close to sound bar, in other words will the sound bar drown out the rears?

i have a Sonos Beam Gen 2, currently i have it connected directly to my Sky Q box, is that the best connection or should i connect to my HDMI ARC ?

Hi All,Many posts of this issue, I brought a brand new ARC in December 2023 & the voice control (Alexa) randomly switches off, the work around works by disabling the button on the app but as others mention the sound control also stops I’ve contacted Sonos & they were willing to replace with a “Grade B” refurbishment which i was not happy with so contacted John Lewis who I purchased it from & they have replaced with brand new one.The new one arrived & exactly the same issue, anyone had theirs replaced & it works?

When are these people at Sonos going to listen to the literally thousands of people complain about the lack of dialogue with the Arc.It truly seems they don’t give a ****.Its all our problem in that we do t know what we’re talking about and our settings are incorrect!Id like to know how many people are actually happy with the Arc dialogue because it seems thousands arentI can’t do TruPlay as it continually says a speaker is missing even though you can clearly hear all speakers playing during the intitial sound test!Surely Sonos can make some type of dialogue adjustment in the App so it can be adjusted similar to bass and treble for example,  it no, we don’t have a clue hat we’re talking about. Please listen to your customers and fix the F…ing problem.Im truly over itModerator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

We just managed to get the arc finally connected. Directions online don’t match….anyway, I really expected the sound to be much louder.  It’s up ¾ of the way!  Is there a setting we need to tweak?  Seems like it shouldn’t be.  TV is a smart Sony 85 inch - couple, three years old. Also does the light go off on it.  Is that normal?

Case number 1.   TV samsung 75” is installed at the top of the wall , Near the ceiling.Sonos Ray bar is installed 15 cmts under Tv. With this conditions, the IR remote control, not work. Only when you are in front and at level of the bar with de remote in your hand.If you are sitting at the couch or lying on the bed, the IR remote control will not work, at any angle , even  if you are exactly at the front of  the bar .An IR remote control will not work with sound bar model RAY , if the SONOS bar RAY will instal at  high of 1.40 to 1.50 cmts of  rhe floor level . To fix this problem, you must to use an IR repeater and install IR “eye” in front of IR reciver Sonos Bar. with this solution, you will not have any problems to volume control of the Sound Bar.If the sound Bar Ray, is installed at 30 to 45 cmts fron the level floor, You will not have any problem with volume control.,  You can up or down de volume from any angle..

Hi. I've seen some people describing loud sound pop and Audio loss when playing Dolby Atmos from Apple TV 4K and Sonos Arc. I don't experience loud pop, but I do experience Audio loss for approx. 1 second at random places when watching content with Dolby Atmos. My setup in short is: Apple TV 4K -> [Belkin High-Speed 4K/8K cable] -> Samsung QE75 [eArc] <- [Sonos cable] Sonos Arc (WiFi: One + One SL + Sub )I've been in contact with Sonos support Norway, and we've done some troubleshooting, but we haven't found a solution yet.My observations so far:Sound drops out for 1 second when playing content with Dolby Atmos from tv, HBO Max or Netflix from Apple TV 4K. Sound does NOT drop out when playing content with Dolby Atmos from tv, HBO Max or Netflix directly from Samsung TV. Once Dolby Atmos sound completely disappeared when I was watching a movie with Dolby Atmos. Every content I played from Apple TV with Dolby Atmos consistently had no sound. Tried tv, HBO Max, Netflix and demo

I shelled out for Sonos equipment and was exasperated to find that i can't get a drop of TV dialogue out of my two Era 100 speakers, after configuring them in a surround system with my Beam soundbar. Instead, they are just expensive paper weights if, say, I'm watching TV news or another talky broadcast (shows which barely have any surround sounds to emit). In other words, I can choose to set my new Sonos speakers up merely as extra speakers (good for news and talk shows) or as surround speakers (good for movies). But not both, nor with any way to toggle among sound profiles, nor adjust the sound to let dialogue through in surround. Whether by money-grubbing design (to get us to buy more speakers) or engineering incompetence, I simply can't use my expensive Sonos speakers for both surround sound AND dialogue. Do others have the same experience?

Hello Sonos Forum,I will no longer be using Samsung TV due to Audio Tech Issues, as in not being able to use my sonos system. I will be purchasing a Sony or LG television, they ate both 50 inches, both say ARC, my sonos beam 2 is an EARC model, will I have any sound issues ? SONY IS DOLBY DIGITAL ARCLG IS ARC ONLY

HiI need a new TV soundbar and want to invest in Sonos ecosystem. Should i buy Sonos Beam (2nd Gen) in March 2024 or hold out for a potential ‘Beam 3rd Gen’ later in the year… 2025(?!) ?Thoughts?

I have an Arc, Two Era 300’s, and a sub mini in a small to medium sized room. The Arc is underneath the wall-mounted TV around 10 feet in front of the seating position, with the sub mini below it to the side. The question I have is about the 300’s: Due to the fact I have a corner shaped sofa, I’m only able to put one of the 300’s to the left of me (slightly behind but sufficiently away from the wall with the requisite 8 inch side clearance) but the right hand one isn’t able to go symmetrical to the left, so it’s forward, positioned around halfway from the sofa to the TV. Will this suffice still, in getting good enough surround sound for HT and also when paired for music? Thanks in advance for your input.

I’m wondering if someone could help with this and apologies if I’m missing something obvious. I’ve added two era 300 to my system and want to use them as surrounds. When I added the 300s they each set up in their own new rooms.I have an existing room called TV with a beam and sub. When I click on that room and select add surrounds, I get a message saying I need two identical speakers to use and this is what I don’t understand. I have two identical 300s but they were automatically placed in their own rooms when I added them, so is that why my tv surround room can’t access them? What do I need to do to be able to add them as surrounds?Thank you. Alastair

Hi everyone👋 Just need an opinion…i’m thinking bout buy another Sonos Arc. It’s for my bedroom. But rumors are telling that Sonos might be realease a new soundbar in near future,so what is the best thing to do here. Buy a Arc now or be patient? Anyone care to share any timeline for Sonos new products-release? Have a nice Easter-holidays🫶

When my SLs are in separate groups they work alright but they’re not collectively working together, so I can pick and choose which speaker I’m listening to which is annoying. I want them to be all in the same group so I can true tune them but when I try my SLs get super muted and staticy. I don’t know what’s up

Upgrade/replace a Sonos beam (gen 1) to beam (gen 2):I had moved from a house with a large living room to an apartment and needed a soundbar to replace my home theater that I couldn’t take with me. In Dec 2022 I bought my first Sonos speaker for the living room TV, a Beam. From an Amazon seller. It was listed as new and Gen 2; true it was new, but the item was not Gen 2 it registered as a Gen 1 when setup. I did get an amazon credit for the slight difference in price. Since the Beam sounded Great, I kept it and got a Sonos sub (Gen 3) two days later. At that time, I did not know the sub-mini was available. Fast forward to March 2024.I had recently added a Victrola stream turntable for the living room in October an wanted to hear it well in the bedroom too. This time I went directly to Sonos after seeing their pricing was competitive with other retailers. I was looking to add a beam to the bedroom TV. I settled on a bundle called Entertainment set with Beam with a Beam (Gen 2) and a sub

Was searching to replace by aging TV to Prism 65AL. After reading much about EARC port requirement for Sonos to achieve Atmos sound. I thought to finally have such features instead of current 5.1.  Anyone connecting Prism 65AL to Sonos Arc and able to play through Netflix for Atmos ?  I saw Prism new model 2024 have EARC but not previously oldest series.

Hi all, New to the world of Sonos and home theatre so please forgive any ignorance.  I’ve just moved into a house that has four Sonos in-ceiling speakers wired up and ready to use in the living room. I’d like to understand how to complete this to create a quality home theatre system. With the four in-ceiling speakers, could I potentially get an Amp to connect to those which in turn is connected to an Arc with Sub Gen 3 which in turn is connected to my Sony A80J via eARC? Therefore giving me the Arc as a centre and surrounds with the in-ceilings paired to the Amp as overhead surrounds? Am I potentially better off with a dedicated home theatre system with receiver, bookshelves, centre, sub and using the in-ceiling Sonos as surrounds? Here is a diagram of the living area with the location of TV, sofa and in-ceiling speakers: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/zj29u1xhry7g4njcjkjtp/File-12-3-2024-11-18-38-am.jpeg?rlkey=wzvjmo0jeucg5lseo2mxaj5iu&dl=0 Any more effective suggestions?

I have two tvs side by side, each one has its own apple tv going into tv via hdmi and its own arc mounted below it fed from each tvs earc. Is it possible to put a hdmi switcher (2 in 2 out) between both tvs earc feeds and the two sonos arcs so that i can jump back and forth between the two different audio feeds from what each apple tv is playing to send to both soundbars hopefully maintaining volume control levels of each soundbar via the apple tv remote?

Last weekend I purchased/ordered a Sony Bravia A95L, 65” TV. Currently our TV sits on top of our entertainment center. We also purchased a new Sonos Arc w/wall mount. I forgot to mention that we purchased a Sanus Elite/Advanced tilt wall mount for the TV. My major struggle right now is do I want to mount my Arc onto the Sonos Arc mount or purchase the extendable Sanus mount? We have 10+ Sonos components in our home. Love their products and look forward to the Arc upgrade. Our ceilings are elevated/pitched, 18’ at the highest point. Estimated 12-15” directly above where the TV will be positioned. Just based on my readings, I'm leaning towards returning the Sonos arc mount and investing in the Sanus mount. The ability to extend out beyond the TV sounds like it may work best. But, I’m going to allow the Sonos community to share their findings.

Hi Folks, I have the Arc, Sub Gen 3 and two Era 300s as surrounds.  I had the 300s mounted on stands and on the sides of my couch and everything sounded great especially the Amos effect when watching movies like Ford vs Ferarri.  I decided to mount the Era 300s to the wall to have them behind the couch.  The weird thing I’ve noticed is the height effects are not nearly as good as they were when the 300s were on the stands.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Granted I get that its all about the room, but curious if anyone has any insight here. Thanks!db

Hi all,Searched everywhere for a solution to this but can't find anyone asking about the same problem I'm having.See video here to get an idea of what the issue is.But basically when I'm using the Arc I'm getting this static "tsch" sound roughly every 2 seconds whenever audio is playing. This is happening with the PS5, Apple TV etc. if there's audio l'm getting this noise. It doesn't happen though when I use the Arc to play music independently of the TV.I've done all the basics. Unplugging everything, turning it off, making sure the TV settings are correct etc. I really don't get it.It's a brand new tele and soundbar so just keen to get it working.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am in Singapore and just bought a Sonos Ray. However, I am unable to either detect, connect or reset the speaker. I have tried everything as per their Website and even tried to get help from online support (they’re useless). I am just unable to connect my speaker. The white light in front continues to flash.Any suggestions or should I just return the speaker and never consider Sonos again.

I have ARC/2Era300/Sub 2 Gen in my home theater and a 2018 Samsung TV only with arc not eARC. I’m debating whether to insert an Arcana unit or other converter to get full Dolby Atmos sound. I enjoy the great Sonos speakers and a full surround experience, but is it worth it to add an eARC converter and all that that entails? Will an average listener like me really notice a difference between compressed and lossless audio? I know it’s subjective but what is your experience, opinion or insight?

hi everyone, I'm Italian I'm using a translator and I hope to be clear, my kit consists ofarc2xera 3002xsubI'm quite satisfied with the sound in general and above all with the very intuitive app but there are some things I don't like the dialogues they are very poor compared to Bose even with the (dialogue enhancement activated) why doesn't Sonos make an effort to create 3 steps (low, medium, high) of dialogue balance on the app? era 300 sounds very good with atmos but why can't I listen to music in stereo while also activating the central speaker? I paid the cash not to collect dust, I hope I managed to explain myself well, thanks
