I’ve had my Sonos Arc for 2 months now and just this past week it started dropping the audio on apps like Netflix, Hulu and HBO Max in my Apple 4k TV. For example the audio will play and then after the ad in Hulu when it comes back to the show the audio is gone. I don’t know why this just started up. I have a new tv Samsung QLED to go along with the new Sonos Arc, I’ve tested another Apple TV 4k device and had the same issues. Steps i’ve tried -Factory reset of apple deviceSwapped devices, issue on bothChanged audio on Samsung TV to Pass-throughChanged HDMI-eArcMode from Auto to Off Unplugged and plugged everything back inOriginally thought this was an apple issue but since it’s happening on 2 devices seems to be a Sonos or Samsung issue. 

Used to work perfectly but has suddenly stopped, no sound coming from TV through BeamConnected to ARC out of TVNew Samsung TV (Q70 series). My Sub Gen 2 is no longer powering up. In order to trouble shoot I want to try another cable.Without purchasing a $40 cable from Sonos, is there any other cables I could try, from another appliance/device for example, or maybe a cheap replacement from Bunnings/Outlet store? 

Apologies if this is a dumb question but I have four HDMI devices and my TV has only 4 HDMI ports.  If I use the eARC HDMI port on my TV for the Sonos Arc I’m stuck with only 3 HDMI ports for my devices, correct?  Are there any good solutions for this other than an HDMI switch?  

Looking for suggestions as to how Foxtel box is connected to the sound bar. Currently have digital audio output from TVto an AV receiver home theatre system. TV has an ARC HDMI input so TV should be ok.

Hello, I would like to know if this problem has happened to anyone else in this community, i have been trying to connect a sonos beam to a samsung tv using the ARC port on the TV, i can even see the sonos beam being recognised by the tv, only problem is using the samsung remote i am unable to adjust the volume, the tv is using the anynet+ system and anytime i try to put the volume up or down on the bottom of the tv it says “Anynet+ Sonos Beam” followed by five or so dots almost like its loading and after that either a + or - depending on if im trying to turn up or down the volume. But unlike the other samsung TV using a Sonos Beam this one doesn't give a number between 1 and 100 to indicate how loud it is, simply a + or - but either case no sound is playing. I think the problem is coming from the Anynet+ but i am unable to find out in the settings what's wrong. (also posting this thread in the samsung support center)

Hi all,It was not clear from the previous post (https://en.community.sonos.com/music-services-and-sources-228994/sonos-arc-and-tidal-atmos-6842179), or whether there has been an update ever since, but I have a Sonos Arc and a relatively old TV which has ARC but does not seem to allow pass through of Atmos (based on my testing with Netflix). I was wondering must my TV have an eARC or that I purchase something like a HDFury Arcana to experience Atmos from Tidal? Thank you.   

Well I've done some testing for the last week and came to the conclusion that the sound of the Sonos Arc with a Philips OLED806 is very buggy. Let me describe mine setup...The Philips TV is connected to a Sonos ARC. For most of mine streaming services I use an Apple TV. I prefer this user interface and the smoothness instead of the built in Android apps. I've noticed that the standard setting for eARC on this television is off. But to get Dolby Atmos on the Apple TV this has to be switched to AUTO. Also the sound output is set to 'Multichannel (bypass)'. I have to do this because otherwise I have some lip-sync problems with mine Cable decoder (Telenet) and the Sonos Arc.So far so good. Dolby Atmos is working on the Sonos Arc with the Apple TV, Xbox,... and there are no lip sync problems at all.However after a while you just can loose the sound on the Sonos Arc. Hi there!,I need assistance here guys, I got a Sonos Arc recently and I am very excited using it, even though I have an issue as below :Since I have a Smart TV Samsung Series : UN50MU6103, it supports Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital+ (as far as I know, if Dolby Digital+ is activated on the TV settings you can play Dolby Atmos on the Sonos Arc see below description :  My set up is : Sonos Arc plugged on HDMI ARC port on TV and Xbox series S plugged in other HDMI port on the TV also, and my question here is, why on the TV Audio settings I cannot activate Dolby Digital+? On below image you can see that there is only Dolby Digital and PCM audio activated, but not Dolby Digital+  TV Audio SettingsAll this is due to I want to activate Dolby Atmos on Xbox and all possible streaming applications,Please, If I wasn't clear enough let me know, I hope you can help me,Regards! 

Hi there.  My sub keeps losing connection and dropping off my home network.  Then trying to add it again is a trial.  This happens about once a week...I can hear the speaker blip every now and then as I guess it tries to hit the network? The Sonos app never finds the sub.   I always have to factory reset. A factory reset generally allows the app to find the sub and it can join a room but then…. It pretty much always fails to join the BeamHave tried:rebooting Sonos app Updating Sonos app turning off ‘Private Address’ on the wifi Rebooting all Sonos devices Rebooting Router (and mesh devices)it takes multiple, multiple attempts to get the thing set up - one attempt will suddenly ‘succeed’SetupS2 Sub and Beam.Home network is strong (200Mbps).  Google Home mesh network to extend coverage with a Home device sat right next to the speakers.Anyone got any ideas?

I’ve switched to a new Fortinet network (Forti Access Point and Fortigate as my router) and I haven’t been able to reconnect my Sonos surround system onto this new network… The ARC gets on no problem, however when I try to connect any of the surrounds or the Sub to the ARC then it just fails. I’ve tried using only 2.4ghz band on the new wifi however it’s still having issues. The ARC is connected via wireless not ethernet.Is there a particular setting I should be looking at in the wireless configuration that might be causing the Sonos issues? These things are so frustratingly finicky and just don’t seem to work well and it’s ridiculous that they don’t support 5ghz. I can add the surround SL speakers individually to their own room however if I try connect them to the ARC it fails… I’ve also tried connecting the ARC via ethernet yet this still happens. “There was a problem adding your surrounds. Check network connection and make sure your products are powered on.” Diagnostic number: 19650

Hi there,I am a reasonable newby to Sonos and am looking for some advice.  Currently own a One, One SL & two Fives.  I am reconfiguring my complex entertainment system to simplify so to take advantage of Sonos. I am considering buying an Arc & Sub to replace a Sony sound bar & sub system.  I use a smart TV, Apple TV and stream through TV/Sony SB (4 HDMI’s !!) and also use a Mac Mini as a media server for Apple music, Foxtel, Amazon & Plex and web as the TV web GUI is not good.Anyhow, my questions are:Can I use  just the 2 fives & One/One SL in conjunction with the Arc and get decent sound or buy a Sub and add to all of above.Any advice appreciatedWith thanksScotty...Down under 

Im using macbook and connected to Sonos One SL.I spotted if I pause playing and after a while wanna re-play again, although the connection was still there, but theres no sound output at all.So I would need to reconnect Sonos again. Is there anything I can do, to keep the Sonos One SL alive at all time, without manually re-connecting it every so often?

So everyone know my system:2 - One SL1 - Sub1 - Arc barTwo weeks ago my landlord changed the wifi access in the house. Due to traveling I have not been able to change my Sonos system over until two days ago. When using the app, I was unable to get the system to switch wifi connections. So at that point I removed it all and tried to start over. Well that did not work. I can put one of the four items on my network, but then none of the other three will connect. I keep getting the same error each time:“Your Sub has been added, but may not appear in the System tab. If so, unplug the powercord and plug it back in to finish the setup from the System tab.”.But when I go back to the system tab, nothing is there but the one speaker I have connected. I have also tried to factory reset the speakers, with no success. Can anyone help? 

Hi,is it possible to use Connect or Connect/Amp to make this happen? Can Gen1 connect to Arc via the app to do this ?thanks 

I have 2 arc speakers one outside at pool and one in living room. I have an amp with 4 speakers hooked up to it, 2 are surround in living room and 2 are out door at the pool. I have the 4 speakers on a switch so I can change which ones I want to power. will the amp connect to either arc depending on where i want the speakers to play. 

...I just want to see if there are any upcoming updates that will solve the compatibility problems between the Apple TV 4K and the Arc.My LG TV has eArc and it’s set to passthrough, and the program material on the Apple TV is Atmos, but the Atmos doesn’t go through to the Arc.  (Neither does 5.1 unless I do some finessing in the Apple TV, which shouldn’t be necessary considering the cost of the Arc.)I have the option of watching the programs through the LG TV onboard apps, and those pass Atmos through to the Arc just fine, but the video quality on those onboard apps is g.a.r.b.a.g.e.Is this ever going to be solved?

Occasionally, when I turn on my LG smart tv, no sound comes out of my Sonos Arc. If I turn the TV off and back on, the sound plays. It doesn't happen every time, just enough times to make it annoying. Any ideas on a fix for this? Tnx 

Hi there,i just purchased a Sonos Arc to replace my Beam to level up my sound setup.I have a Philips 50PUS7303/12 TV, the Arc is connected to the HDMI Arc port, and tv sound set to Dolby HD.With smart TV apps, the sound is just synced perfectly, but when I use the PS5 (configured to output Dolby), there is a enoughly large delay to be noticed (more than an half second of delay). When I change from Dolby to PCM, sync is better but the sound seems muffled.I’m a bit lost here and disappointed by the situation.Any idea on how I can solve this ?Thanks !

I’ve got Sonos beam + 2 Sonos. tv Sony kd-49x7000eI have problem when I play Ps4 games the sound is delay when I’m set up DD sound. Does anyone know the solution to this?

In the last few days I seem to constantly be losing connection to my sub and Play:1 surround speaker. They show up as ? In the app and I go through the whole missing product process and restart my router to get them back. This generally works and they are on for a bit then they go missing again.diagnostics submitted: 1476015795any ideas?

Hi! Recently I have found that my 2 SUBs and 2 Play 1 (surrounds) are detached from my living room HT setup, but they are not actually detached, but just from the Android app… That is when I check from “System”, it just shown “Arc” but not “(x2Sub + surrounds)”. It’s not showing “?” but nothing. Therefore, I couldn’t adjust the volume level of my Subs and surrounds. However, they are actually still linked with my Arc as usual. This happen occasionally and my only solution is to uninstall the app and reinstall it, then everything back to normal… Just wonder any of you encountered the same?

The Beam works well with the cable box as long as I’m watching shows from a channel offered by the cable company, but once I switch to an app, e.g. Netflix, with my TV remote it continues to play the audio from the cable channel I was watching and I can only hear the app through the TV speaker which sounds horrible compared to the Beam.  How do I get the apps to connect to the Beam? 

Hi, i am having an issue with volume not syncing between normal stereo content and high res audio.I have an LG 55 nano90 2020 model. I work with a Chromecast with google tv. Chromecast is in hdmi stating higher refresh rate. And Soundbar is plugged into the eArc port. Chromecast is also directly plugged in with Ethernet.*Yes ALL my stuff is updated to latest software. (Computer nerd, build computers...have Plex server...)At first I struggled to get the Atmos or Dolby format to play. Was only getting stereo. Finally found setting in Chromecast to allow surround sound formats and also set tv to passthrough.*Other settings hdmi is set to bitrate and not pcm. I have tried turning eArc on and Off. Unplugged system so it could reset between swapping. I have tried to turn off and on the CEC settings in Chromecast and or tv to see if that would help...nothing.I don't know what else to try...i have fiddled with app settings but not much. I see there was remote setups but it doesn't pick up my C
