Watching Stranger Things on Netflix which states it’s an atmos soundtrack but beam Gen 2 says it’s Dolby digital plus 5.1 ?

LG 65BX oled connected to beam via earc 

TV set to pass through, other Netflix atmos content plays as atmos via beam 

strange ? or am I missing something ?

Maybe because season 4 is stated as atmos then they’ve populated all seasons as atmos which isn’t maybe accurate 🤷‍♂️

Only Season 4 is in Dolby Atmos, so what season are you watching?

Maybe because season 4 is stated as atmos then they’ve populated all seasons as atmos which isn’t maybe accurate 🤷‍♂️

The Netflix audio badge can be buggy at times. You won’t see Dolby Atmos in the Sonos app until S4.

Just wait for season 4.  It's an aural avalanche.  Some of the best Atmos I've heard yet.
