I want to connect my PC to sonos ray through wifi or ethernet, I could not find any tutorials on how to do it

SO I have an Ultra Arc, 2 rear ERA300’s and Sub.My question is, Sonos doesn’t support DTS:X so what happens when you play DTS:X content?  

We recently purchased Polk wired speakers for our outdoor patio setup, but when we try to play sound from the tv through the speakers, the sounds comes out glitchy and cutting out. How do we get this to stop and get sound without the glitchiness. When we play music through the speakers from our Spotify or Sonos app we do not have any issues with the sound.  The sound has been run out of the tv via HDMI and optical cable, into the house and down to the basement where it is then connected to the amp.

Apologies if this has been answered but I can’t seem to find the exact answer.   I’ve built a golf simulator in my basement and wanted to place a Sonos Soundbar behind the screen for audio.  Can choose from either Sonos Playbar or Sonos Beam if it makes a difference.I have a media cabinet built into an adjacent wall about 20’ away from where the soundbar will be.  Media cabinet will house golf simulator computer, gaming systems, Apple TV, and an AV Receiver.   Can I use a Sonos Connect or Sonos Port with the AV Receiver audio output to connect to the Sonos Soundbar to play the audio from whatever the media source is?  Or how can I best connect the Sonos Soundbar to the AV receiver recognizing they are kind of duplicative in function.   thanks, 

Have connect my Beam 2 to my Samsung QE55Q90TATXXU via the HDMI ARC socket.  The problem I have is that the TV automatically plays through the Beam even if the Sonos app is set to TV auto play off. When changing the audio source to TV speakers it automatically switches back to the Beam which I prefer not have when just watching stand TV programmes. Any idea how to change this. TIA

So my beam is all set up with my tv. It looks like it’s playing sound but it’s not.i have a Samsung tvi can play music from the beam through the app but I can’t get any sound from the tv.please can anyone help 

I have just purchased a new Sony Bravia tv and attached my arc ultra to it. The sound is great until I switch off the tv for maybe 10 mins or more. When I switch the tv back on after this short period, there is no sound coming through on the soundbar. The only way I can resolve it is to switch off the power on my arc ultra and switch back on again which seems to work until the next time. 

Hi everyone, This is a very beginner-oriented question, but I have gathered the following: Airplay 2 only supports stereo output For Dolby Atmos, one needs to use HDMI eARCMy (near future) setup is: XGIMI Horizon Ultra projector Apple TV 4K Sonos Arc Ultra (only sound output so far)My question is: in this configuration (i.e. one single output, the Sonos Arc Ultra), what do I lose if it outputs stereo sound, vs. dolby atmos?  The reason behind my question is because I want to keep wiring clutter down to a minimum - and my plan currently is to connect my apple TV to the projector via HDMI, but to attempt to airplay sound to the Arc Ultra (to avoid having an HDMI cable crossing the entire room). Thanks in advance for the help, and apologies for the naïve question. 

Still hoping for this update. Crazy that it is such an expensive speaker but we haven't been able to use the main driver!! Is there any way to use it yet??? 

Hello Sonos Community.  This is my first post, and its a question I am hoping someone else has solved already.  My system:Arc Sound BarEra 300 x 2Gen 3 SubApple TV 4KSony Bravia 8 (K-77XR80) I am looking to use the eARC HDMI port on my TV with my Apple TV, however from what I understand I have to use that port for my Sonos sound system as well.  Meaning I have one port, and I need two on the TV. Does any one know of or can recommend an eARC Extender(Does that exists)?  I am hoping there is such a thing so I can plug the Apple TV HDMI cable and the Sonos HDMI cable into the same eARC port on the Sony TV.I am wanting to get the most from the Apple TV as far as sound / video goes and I cannot do that if the Sonos System is using the only eARC port on the TV. Thoughts? Thanks,Daze (Jeff)

I’m upgrading my surrounds from Sonos one SL to eras 300. I used to invert my Sonos one SL when they were mounted (following sanus guide). But I’ve been reading that there is no need to invert them.  Should I invert my eras 300 based on my living room photos?  Am I supposed to angle the eras 300 towards the listener(tilt down) or towards the tv (straight)? 

Recently bought a house with the in-ceiling speakers (Sonos architectural by sonance) in my living room. I was excited to get my surround sound setup when I was told that it would not work because I have my AMP wired into my master closet. What can I get to have the speakers in the living room work as surround sound. I’m aware I’ll probably need to buy other speakers but I wanted to get this for a Father’s Day gift. 

Renovating and planning to use this room on the top floor as home theatre.The sofa has to be located where it is. There is no moving it!I was going to place two ERA 100s (maybe 300s, but I think 100s better suited for room size here) on stands at both ends of the sofa for surround (wall in front has tv, Arc and sub4). But this poses two challenges:The room isn't big and I would rather leave the sofa attached to the back wall - which means the ERAs on stand would be in line with the sofa, rather than a few inches behind it. I understand this is not optimal. Is it still a better option than not having them at all. As shown on the rendering, on the left of the sofa I have this very low, slanted ceiling which doesn't really give me much room for a stand. There is a console table on that side. Would it be stupid to be one of the 100s low on that console, and the other one on a stand on the right??Where would you put surrounds?Also, t

I have Samsung tv and Sonos play bar. And play 1 speakers. They used to work perfectly as surrounds but no longer work. I just get garbled noise from the surrounds and in the app once the tv room shows 

I have the original Sonos Soundbar and a pair of original Play: 1’s and i’m happy with the set up. I also have an original Play: 3. I am considering upgrading to the Sonos Arc Ultra, a Sub and new Era 100’s as I’m purchasing a new Samsung Frame TV in the main living area but I wanted to understand whether a Sonos upgrade is worth it from a sound quality perspective. Any advice appreciated. I was looking at just the Sonos Arc Ultra but i understand the original Play: 1’s might not be compatible with the Arc Ultra. Not sure if thats entirely accurate. Thanks

Hi. My Sonos system doesn’t automatically turn on when I switch the TV on. The only way I can get it to turn on is to reboot my TV ( Sony Bravia). Any suggestions as to how I can rectify this please.

I have a pair of play1’s and a play bar. My system sounds beautiful, put im thinking of adding a sub.  My question is.  Do you think I would benefit from from it. 

I had a Beam Gen 2+ 2x Era 300+ Sub Gen 2 all paired and working fine. this week I bought a new Arc Ultra to replace the Beam. I managed to set up the Arc Ultra and Connect Era 300s and the Sub on the App. however, the Eras and Sub are not working - no sound when I play TV. Sound is only coming from the Arc. 

Hi there Just got 2 ERA 300 to play my surrounds with the Arc But got a problem when trying to sync pair the Sub Gen 2: it seems i can only pair the sub or the era 300 but not both. The sub is detected but when i try to add to either the arc or the room system, it saying added after a waiting time (2 or 3min), it doesnt show connected or paired (not assigned)Even doing factory reset with Era or Sub, same issue.People told me it might be the sonos app 2 that having hard time with android phone or it could be something else. Need help Thanks

Hi All,I have a new setup at home that is:Samsung OLED S95D (Dec 2024) Sonos ARC Ultra + Sub (Gen 4) + 2x ERA 300 (Mar 2025) PC with Nvidia 4080 Super and Windows 11 (Dec 2024)I connected everything as I think it should be connected: PC goes to one HDMI 2.1 port on the OneConnect Box from GPU Sonos ARC Ultra to eARC port on the OneConnect BoxUp to few months ago, the system was working flawlessly: I was able to see Dolby Atmos on my PC, the app Dolby Access was showing the configuration (for home theater the Atmos was enabled) and life was good. All of a sudden, probably after an update on the GPU, the Dolby Access stopped working. I can see that the system processes Dolby Atmos from Windows settings, but I am bot able to activate it from spatial audio settings.I tried rolling back GPU Drivers, installing new drivers,  switching HDMI ports but no chances. I want to mount my pair of Sonos ERA300’s only once onto my rear wall which is against my sofa. I don’t want to be faffing around, drilling multiple holes into my walls to adjust their height so what is best : ear level, slightly above ear level, or higher?Has anyone tested different heights with their ERA300’s as rear theatre speakers and what worked best?Does raising the speakers up 30 cm above ear level make a huge difference>?Let me know what worked for you. Regards

When watching movies and tv, I have my Sonos setup so my two Sonos One SLs are used as surrounds. For music, I prefer to have them on full/stereo. When toggling the option in the app between ambient and full for music playback, there is no difference.I used to have the Playbar with this setup and this feature worked perfectly. I just recently upgraded to the Arc Ultra and the Sub 4. Since resetting my system with this new setup and have the Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and 2 One SLs, this feature seems to not work any longer. Is this most likely just a glitch in the app or something? I’m about to reset my whole system again and just try to setup from scratch to see if it solves it, but was curious if anyone else ran into this same issue.
