Hi!
I’ve recently purchased a beam 2 and 2 era 100

with the idea to use them as a home theater (I’m planning to buy the sub mini in a future) but I can’t figure it out at all.

I have the beam already configured with the tv connected tru hdmi arc.

I have in another system both of the era 100 individually (not paired for stereo)

and now when I’m trying to add both era 100 in the configuration area of the beam 2 they never show up.

am I doing something wrong?

I’ve reset everything twice now and can’t connect them together

I’m currently having a similar issue with a Beam, 2 x Era 100 and Sub Mini configured room where the Beam “loses” the other 3 speakers. The display I get is the same as the one shown with the triangles.

After some experimentation I found that all I have to do to fix the issue is restart the Beam. It will then reconnect with the other 3 speakers.

This started happening after the last firmware update.

My other multi speaker room with a PlayBar, 2 x Play:1 and a sub do not have this issue.

If you can see the Era 100’s as individual speakers in the App you are on the right track as that's the first step. Next go to the room with the Beam2 and click on “Add surrounds”. The app will locate one and ask if you would like to add both as surrounds. From there just follow the steps. Come back if you have difficulties.

Ok I manage to connect them together but as soon as they’re paired now the eras 100 says it’s disconnected, did I miss something?

Try unplugging the Beam2 and the Era 100’s. Then reboot your router and let it come back. Connect your device to WiFi. Plug in the Sonos speakers and let them come back. It may take 5 - 6 minutes. Open the app on your device and hopefully all will be as it should. Let us know if everything is working.

Be sure you have WiFi turned on on the Beam.

To add surrounds to the Beam, the speakers you want to use must not be a stereo pair. Break the stereo pair (Remove stereo pair) and they should then be available to add as surrounds.

From what I see in your settings, you already have the speakers paired with the soundbar, but they aren't appearing in the system (I see two “El Altavoz"). Remove them using the "Remove surround sound speakers" option below and start fresh. To do this: unplug the power cable. While plugging the cable back in, press and hold the Bluetooth button until the light flashes orange and white, then release the button.

As others have mentioned, make sure the soundbar's Wi-Fi isn't disabled and that you have a good internet connection from your router.

Thank you all!

finally they setup properly and now they’re working great.

after finalizing the surround pairing and loosing connection from the beam to the eras all I had to do was just restart all the devices and then after that they all started working fine.

@Merwinaleman one thing that I have learnt through the challenges if the new app is that the big restarts are rarely necessary if you:

  • Exercise patience when things are not working as expected especially if you have a mesh network or use extenders. Waiting a couple of minutes can help you avoid a lot of pain/effort.
  • Try some simple things first. An example is that quite often when the app does not connect to my system, simply switching WIFI on my phone off and on fixes things. My guess, and it is a guess, is this relates to the BSSID that the phone and speakers are connected to.
  • Start with the smallest option that you think will fix the issue. So, in my example above, rather than power off/on the 2 x ERA 100 and Sub Mini I started by switching the Beam off/on.

Hard reset of the speakers and rebooting the router are, for me, the last thing that I want to do.
