I’m planning to use my 2 Sonos One speakers as a surround pair along with Sonos Beam. (Maybe in future I’m going to invest into Sonos Sub Mini)I can connect all 3 of them via Ethernet cable. Should I connect all of them to the same wired network or is it better to just connect one speaker in the Sonos net and let them establish a wireless network instead?

When I finish playing a game on the XBOX. I lose my audio. It seems that the application shows the Dolby 5.1 during the game but after I exit the game, whilst still on the XBOX, the menu nor apps have no audio. I have to turn off the XBOX to get it too come back. It's really so confusing. I've checked settings over and over to attempt a fix but I've gotten nothing. Does anyone have any idea why this is occurring?  Thank you so much in advance!

hi :) i have a beam + sub mini + 2 one set up, i just connected my turn table to port and playing auto on my set up, I noticed there is no bass come from sub mini at all, is this meant to be or am i doing something wrong? many thanks Shan 

The waves do not appear in the hdmi port where I connect my arc.  I don't detect the codec type in the Sonos app

I've notice there is a lot of posts about sonos arc and LG cx, but i think mine is different.It's not that arc stops working, is more that some apps are able to wake it up and other aren't. In my case, some times the PC signal or lg native you tube app aren't able to wake it app. The solution at the moment is to pass through Amazon prime/Netflix apps and then switch to you tube or the PC.Is there a way to permanently disable the stand by in the arc ? Or to switch it on/off manually?

I have recently purchased a new laptop and have been trying to connect it to my Sonos Beam soundbar, but I have been facing some challenges.I have attempted to connect my Sonos Beam to my laptop through the HDMI ARC port, but I have not been successful. I have checked all the cables and ports to ensure that they are properly connected, but the Sonos Beam is still not detected by my laptop. I have also attempted to connect my laptop to the Sonos Beam through Bluetooth, but I have not been successful in this either.I would greatly appreciate any assistance or advice that the forum members can provide on this matter. I am open to trying any potential solutions, such as updating my laptop's drivers or adjusting the settings on my Sonos Beam soundbar.Thank you in advance for your help and support.Best regards,Judy

[Epson projector EH-TW5650] <----HDMI---- [Xiaomi Mi Box streamer] ----optic--→ [JBL sound bar] For the music system, i have two play:1 one play: 3 one Sonos Port to play vinyl discs I am into finding a new sound bar to replace my JBL old and badly sounded bar. Sonos is obviously on the list.Knowing that:the Xiaomi mi box streamer supports only Dolby DTS that my Epson projector has only 2 HDMI ports (one standard, one MHL) and therefore cannot use HDMI to broadcast the sound streamWDYT:about the Sonos RAY in place of my current JBL sound bar ? Are we ok this will enjoy the DTS sound from the Xiaomi Mi box streamer? Seems to me that BEAM could be a nice upgrade for power and clarity but ARC is definitely overkilled in this

I have a Beam Gen 2 connected to our Living Room TV and would like to add either a pair of Era 100s or a pair of one SLs as surround speakers for watching movies. However for various reasons I’m not able to have these speakers permanently located in the Living Room. So is it possible to set up the  Beam Gen 2 with a pair of surround speakers so that I can easily connect them whenever I want to watch a movie with surround sound and then when finished remove them from the room until the next time I want to watch another movie?

Hello There, I got the Ray, i’m trying to connect it to my computer, but my computer does not have the optical port, it only has a audio type c. I bought an adapter USB AUDIO CONVERTER OPTICAL AND 3.5MM, I plug it into my type c, nothing works then I try a usb port but there is no audio coming out either, my computer does detect that there is a speaker plug it and even has the green audio lv going up, Any tips? I was going to return this but I really want to make it work. Much would be appreciated thank you.I have a rog strix b550- e gaming motherboard

I’ve been running my TV into my B&O amp with no problem for years but when I hooked up my PC to the TV to use as a dedicated Internet Streaming for taking content off YouTube, Rumble, The Chosen, etc I started to get audio stuttering from the PC Content.The Audio Chain Looks Like This:PC via HDMI > TV > External DAC via Optical > B&Oand actually I have a Sonos Port running to the same dac via and Inday Toslink Switch for my library and music needs via the same B&OI suspect the audio stuttering issues are from an incompatibility issue in going from HDMI to the TV and then Optical Coming out.So here’s the question:  Could I Use a Beam or a Ray to get my TV in to the Sonos Ecosystem and then group it to the Port to get the TV sound back out of my Stereo.  If i were to use a Beam or Ray, the source content would still feed to the TV via HDMI.    Again, the big concern is finding the best way to get rid of the audio drops when watchi

My sub recently disconnects from my system for an unknown reason. I cannot get it to reconnect. I have reset it multiple times and when setting it up it either doesn’t recognise the sub or if I connect it to the temp SONOS WiFi it doesn’t connect to my permanent WiFi. Nothing has been changed router etc. From what it was previously connected to. I have NETGEAR Orbi6 WiFi router and the sub is next to an extender. I have connected via Ethernet cable and WiFi with nothing working? Is there anything I can do or has my sub died?? Thanks

I have 2 Sonos One SL’s, a sub and a Sonos Arc in a 550 sq ft room with a kitchen/dining room adjacent to it. The tv room portion has a vaulted ceiling that is 11 feet tall. Can I accomplish Dolby Atmos with this set up?  Do I need Era 300 to help achieve it?

I’ve got the Samsung Serif TV, as well as a Sonos Arc which I’ve been contemplating mounting above the television.  Because it stands on its own 4 legs though, I’ve been also thinking the possibility of mounting it below the television but then again access to the sound bar would be limited so back to my initial idea. Specifically given that the TV would sit ahead of the speaker, would it make sense to mount it right above the television? This would be above ear level but plenty of space between it and the ceiling. I’ve literally searched everywhere but seems no one has had this dilemma. All thoughts/ideas welcome please.

My playbase doesnt want to Connect because the playbase doesnt make Any Sound in the process were the mobile phone trys to hear a Audio code. Someone ever had the Same issue? Thanks for any help! ps: i reset already few times untill Green light

I have a Beam (GEN 2) hooked up to my Toshiba Fire TV through the HDMI ARC port. Hooked up the beam and everything works fine, tv sound, spotify, etc. However, whenever the TV goes to sleep/turns off for awhile and then is turned back on- the arc connection no longer works, plays no tv sound, and my tv says that my tv remote cannot control the volume.I try to re-pair the sonos with the tv via the app and it states there is no ARC Audio output even though it was working before...The only way for me to fix the issue is to fully restart the system via unplugging tv from the wall or going into tv settings and doing a full restart. Anyone seen this problem before or have any ideas on how to fix?

HiNot long had my new set up of arc plus sub plus one sl surrounds but I find the sound very thin and sibilant when watching normal tv (through virgin media box). It’s like treble is far too forward in sound profile meaning it’s a very harsh sound. Honestly my previous £250 Samsung soundbar sounded better (for normal tv).I’ve spent hours changing settings, running and re-running trueplay etc.is this just the way it is with an Arc? Should I consider a Beam instead? Thanks 

Surround as in title won’t update. Running S2. Have rebooted both router and devices several times. Surround no longer working. Cannot remove surround since it needs an update. Update goes through “Getting ready” then jumps to “Finishing up” then to update failed.Any advice?

I have a playbar and two play one’s I’m trying to set up in a second room (Kitchen) to extend the sound from the TV in the Great room where I have a playbar, two play 3’s and a sub which are all working as they should be.  The second playbar (Kitchen) works fine but I can’t get the play one’s to connect to the playbar in the Kitchen. When I open the kitchen room in settings it doesn’t ask me if I want to add a play one, it only gives me an option to ‘set up surrounds’ which it won’t do since it doesn’t recognize the two play one’s. On the occasion (after factory resetting and rebooting the wifi, etc) the app recognizes a play one it puts in in kitchen 2 or kitchen 3 which is obviously not the same room as the playbar. Help!! I have factory reset the play ones multiple times, rebooted the wifi multiple times, even did a factory reset on the playbar and both play ones and tried to start from scratch and to no avail. My app still thinks the play ones are in kitchen 2 and kitchen

Hi,I’ve just received a reconditionned Beam Gen 1, I’ve plugged it in to my SAMSUNG UE49KU6450 TV (on the ARC HDMI plug) with an apple TV and a PS4 on the other two HDMI plugs.On the Apple TV the screen goes black and the sound cuts for 1-2 seconds quite often, on the PS4 it’s different, I just get sent to the TV source (disconnected from all HDMI sources) and have to change the source back to PS4 but it’s pretty rare (I would say once every 5-6 hours).This did not happen before I installed the Beam, I disconnected everything, and left just the Beam and the Apple TV and I still have the problem, I also changed the HDMI cable of the Apple TV and this did not change anything either (I’m using the HDMI cable given by Sonos for the Beam).I’ve turned off the TV and unplugged it for a couple hours (as asked on another thread) and I’ve checked and there’s no updates for my TV and the Apple TV is up to date (the Beam is up to date too).

I'm having a new TV installed with a wall mount and am looking to have the original Sonos Playbar / Sound bar installed right below the TV.  Can you comment on what the best bracket to do so?  Can't find one on the Sonos site that lists this model.  Best Buy recommended the Rocketfish universal mount for soundbars.  Thoughts?Moderator edit: Removed hyperlink

I would like to connect Sonos Beam gen2 to a Mac and projector. The projector has two HDMI sockets. Ideally I would like to hide the HDMI cable in the wall, using HDMI modules that I fix to the wall. So in end I’ll connect a HDMI cable to the module and the beam, in the other end I connect a HDMI cable to the module and the projector.  If I connect one HDMI cable from the projector to the Beam for sound, and another one from the projector to the laptop for visuals, will that work?  I guess I can’t use standard HDMI modules like this, I need Arc, is that correct? Do you know of any modules that work with HDMI arc/Beam?Many thanks,Henrik

What is wrong with the volume differences on my Beam2 between watching TV and then Music?  My TV volume must be at max, but then listening to music later will absolutely blast you out of the house.  I must say that Tech. support says my problem is “noted”, but I doubt there will be a fix.  :(

I would like to buy 4 second hand beolab 8000 mk2 and a samsumg frame. I would like to listen to spotify (via sonos?) with all 4 speakers together and if I use the samsung tv frame I would like to hear only the 2 speakers close to the tv. Who can help?

In pairing my iPad with the Arc, I am instructed to push the on/off button. Where is the on/off button?
