Hi all, I am not sure what I am missing. My playbar is connected to my Samsung TV via optical cable. I have already setup my remote on the app and it works perfectly when using the TV either with air/cable tv or other apps like Netflix or whatever… BUT if I change the input for the TV to be an HDMI (as for my Playstation 5) the remote wont change the volume (and the little indicator light won’t work either) it is only if I open any other tv app or air/cable that the remote will work ok again… is this normal or am I missing some configuration or something?? Thanks all!

My Beam 2 gen is about 3 years old. So far it has been working ok. Imhabe a Samsung TV and I use a Logitech universal remote, to control the volume on the Sonos.we have had some outages on the network connection. I now having 2 issues. i can’t get any status lights, eventhough i swith the lights on with the App. (Ipad) the remote is not working, sort of. I have reprogrammed the remote, as I first thought that it was no longer functioning. What i see is that using the remote, actually changes the the volume in the App, but it does not change the volume on the Beam. If I use the App, to change the volume it works fine. -Does the Beam an infrared sensor, that receives the command from the Remote control, that may be damaged?-May a factory reset solve both problems. If so, how is that performed? Thanks 

Hi,today, I noticed my Playbar was unavailable for playback in the S2 app. I did find the Playbar in the settings of the app with the information, that this playbar is “not registered”.When I try to use the “Fix it” option, I get an error 1.066 - “there was a problem checking for updates”.Anyone has an idea, why the registration got lost? The Playbar was disconnected for a few hours from power. And why does the app check for updates when I just want to use my system again? The Playbar was successfully registered.I tried to dump this into Sonos support, but their chatbot got stuck asking what other Sonos devices I got.There are few exceptions from the norm to my setup - none of my Sonos Boxes is connected to the internet (for obvious security reasons). My Sonos app on iOS does not update automatically (I did that once by accident so no more of that update crap). This setup has been working smoothly for half a year.Any thoughts?Moderator edit: Changed 1086 to 1066

He comprado una sonos beam 2, vivo en Colombia y tengo un móvil con Android.Dentro de las cosas nuevas que trae la Bean 2 es que se puede utilizar el asistente de Google y como proveedor de música Amazon music, esas fueron dos razones para comprarla. Desafortunadamente ni el asistente de Google aparece como opción de asistente de voz, ni Amazon music como servicio de música. YouTube music si puede ser instalado como servicio de música sin embargo la presentación es poco atractiva y práctica. Agradezco me orienten si está haciendo falta algún elemento para poner a funcionar los dos servicios que deseo tener o si definitivamente por estar en Colombia estos servicios no están disponibles.

Hi all,Maybe 4 years back I installed a pair of 100’s, an ARC and a Sub in small lounge to use with a Panasonic TV.At time of install I had horrible problems getting it working. I had support from Sonos and my memory of this was NOT to RJ45 connect the 100’s but to wirelessly connect them to the ARC and SUB … both of which were on RJ45.I never really understood why at the time but in fairness, it all worked and has worked nicely since.But ideally I’d prefer ALL my Sonos devices be wired to simplify the configuration, make it more secure and eliminate any risk of performance issues and …. well, I just like cables better 😉Just to ask if this is possible to do please and if there is a procedure to set this up that maybe I did not understand so well first time of install?Many thanks in advance

Tv Beam 2 dialogue is ahead of 2 × ERA 300sI also have a mini subI have updated all equipment & unplugged everything. Have been trying for hours.Any help would be much appreciated ThanksKev 

Up until the last few weeks I’ve had my Beam volume somewhere between 17-20. Now I’m having to  turn the volume between 25-30. If there an update I need to do?  I’ve restarted, but nothing has changed. 

After almost two years, I suddenly lost the wifi connection to my Sonos Beam. I have tried restarting the router and factory resetting the Beam. When trying to reconnect the Beam, it is unable to find my wifi network. I understand this might sound like a 2.4/5.0 Ghz issue, but I have another Sonos Beam in the house that I am not having any issues with. Furthermore, I haven’t made any changes to the wifi settings on my router and don’t know why this would suddenly become an issue. During setup, the app does list other wifi networks in the neighbourhodd, but cannot see mine. 

I’m setting up a Playbar. When I get to the step of setting up my IR remote: I press volume up and it says it doesn’t recognize it Press continue The learn remote page shows for about half a second before it tells me it didn’t see an IR signal. I never even get the chance to press volume up three times.   I’ve power cycled, then factory reset the bar. Still having the same problem. My remote is IR, and I can see the light blinking with my phone camera.  thanks in advance for any help

Why is it that I cannot use my ERA 300 speakers as a stereo pair for streaming music and then use them as a surround sound set to watch movies? Yes, I know I can unpair them and reassign them as surround speakers but it doesn’t make sense to me since this is all app controlled not to mention a pain to have to do all that extra work. Can someone shed some light or maybe I’m missing something. Thanks

I have sonos playbar. Until today i have been using with my setup and it was working. However today my system doesnt see it anymore except ethernet. Do you know why? And also if ı change my playbar with arc, will app problems solve?  

When I try to connect a remote control the Ray via the app , in the app it almost immediately jumps to the next step stating no signal was detected. This is so fast that I do not even have time to push any button on the remote control.  anyone that has seen this before or tips how to solve this? I already restarted and even reset the Ray, still the same

Another One for the "Lip Sync" CollectionI have a Samsung S90D, an Apple TV 4K, and a Sonos Beam. I've tried every possible setting, including the pass-through option on the TV. I'm using a high-quality HDMI 2.1 cable, but nothing seems to fix the issue.At this point, I've tried everything, and my Apple TV feels useless because I simply can't tolerate the delay.Does anyone have any good ideas?

Hi, I have just got my 2nd Gen Sky Glass TV and I’m trying to get my Playbar to work.  The tv comes with an audio optical socket so I’ve connect the bar to the tv.  I need to know the correct way to get it working / connected to the tvthanksheath 

While playing music there is no issues at all, while watching my TV the sound fades in and out. I’ve checked all my wires and even changed some wires and even change TV’s. any ideas

I have the arc ultra and had a beam gen2 until last week. I have the impression that the bass are Les powerful on the art than with the beam dispute the presence of the built in sub inside the arc ultra. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance for answering my question.  

hi there,I am looking for some help in connecting my old Blu-ray player (Sony BDP-S570)My current setup is Sonos Arc HDMI connects to LG C2 TV eARC.The Blu-ray player HDMI connects to LG C2 HDMI. I was expecting this connection to carry both video and audio signals however I am only getting video, no sound.Next, I kept the Blu-ray HDMI connected to the LG C2 TV HDMI for video and added a digital optical audio toslink from Blu-ray player to the Sonos amp using the Sonos optical HDMI adapter for audio. however, that also did not produce any sound.I am running out of ideas... am I not thinking about this right? thanks for your help.

Hello community,  I have a playbar witch wouldn't connect. TPS54226 blowen powerlane completely shorted. Pin 9 on TPS54226 is shortet to ground. Pin 9 is alsow shorter to Pin 1, 5, 8 and 10. Don't know if this right. After further investigation I found a ic with a "big" hole in it. Near the cpu.  U55-Markings: IDT6V4919 8APGG 1507T A58636FMY Does any one have a idea were i can buy this part ? 

Hi,Not sure if anyone has asked that already (couldn’t find any posts) but why the ERA300 cannot be used with the SONOS amp and SUB as surround speakers. Why do one need to use the ERA100’s ??I didn’t expect that one would have to get the ARC in order utilize these great speakers as the surrounds

Hello,  I’ve had issues for weeks…I moved from the US overseas- obviously requiring a new network. I finally had a person via chat tell me that I needed to update my Vodafone setting to split the 2.4 and 5G. So now I have the WiFi split. Finally getting some momentum in not having to connect my be via the Ethernet in order for it to be recognized. However, when I go to update the network, to the new 5G, all four products I own appear, and all connect except for the beam. It is recognized, then at the very end of the work flow states something went wrong, please select your product again. I then go to search again, and it doesn’t pop up a second time. If I kill the app. Then the beam pops up and I restart the process each time with the same error message. Any advice?? Thank you in advance 

How can I set the volume higher on my two play 1?Al the sound comes out the ray and only a little on my play 1 devices 

I recently bought a projector and a sonos beam gen 2 soundbar to connect both to my PC and have a cheap home-cinema setup. Eventhough I can connect my PC to the Beam, I cannot use the beam as a speaker, I can only cast music on it from the Sonos app. Is there a possibility to do what I have in mind?

Is there a noticeable difference in sound quality between Arc and eArc?   I currently have Beam Gen 2, sub mini and 2x Era 300 surrounds. My Panasonic GX800 TV  (from 2019 I believe) has Arc not eArc. The sound sources I see on the Sonos app are Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus 2.0 and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. What other sound sources would show on the app if I upgraded my TV to eArc?  Dolby True HD?  Or would I need to get an eArc TV and alsio upgrade the soundbar to perhaps Arc Ultra.?  

Just changed from Sky Hub to Vodafone ultra hub. System worked great previously, have two paired Play1 rears (2016) a beam and a gen3 Sub. I’m also on the latest app, but when I try to connect everything back up, the best I can get is the following… I can’t get everything to connect in the same room to set up a 5:1 system, when I add the rear surrounds to the beam it disconnects from the sub. Tries resetting everything and starting from scratch adding one by one but failing miserably. Like I said, all connected fine until I changed bb provider, any tips appreciated 

Hi!A few months ago I updated my Sonos Home Theater system.I now have an Arc Ultra with Sub 4 and two Era 100.From day one I noticed something that puzzled me: whenever I use Night Sound with Dolly Atmos content, the Night Sound mode is unusable because sound from the Arc Ultra get way louder at times (it clearly have to do with some specific positional audio elements during the playback) and also dialogues get way too low to the point they re not audible. This dialogue thing is easily solved with Speech Enhancement, but the audio fluctuations, where it gets way to loud depending on some specific positional sound effects just is an absurd.Also, at times, surrounds get delayed creating an echo effect to the whole content.It seems to be a software thing because this does not happen with other sound formats aside Dolby Atmos, and only happen with Night Sound on (hence I suspect this to be a software thing rather an hardware issue).Any clues?Does anyone has the same experience?I believe it
