I have a Sonos Beam 316-75-792 connected to a Samsung UN55J6201AFXZA via the Sonos Optical Audio Adapter and a Monoprice S/PDIF (Toslink) Digital Optical Audio Splitter that connects to a 6’ optical audio cable to reach the back of the TV.I recently attempted to swap my 6-ft optical audio cable to a 10-ft one to allow the TV to swivel out and ran into two problems/issues that I could not resolve:Problem 1:The new optical audio cable did not work; rubber caps were removed from the tips…I thought maybe the new cable got damaged even though the red light/signal from the TV was clearly visible at the other end of the cable.  I purchased another cable with the same result and no caps on the second cable.  Tested the longer cables with another device, and they both worked fine.Problem 2:I went back to the old optical audio cable, and it only works in one direction, meaning if the correct end is not plugged into the back of the TV, there is no sound...flip the optical audio cable around, and

Is there an update as to when we can expect the software release that will fully support inverted Era 300’s that are wall mounted in areas due to exceptionally high ceilings?

Please help, how do I connect my Sonos, 5, 3 x 1’s to my A65J

Hi,At the moment I got one sonos playbar under the tv and two sonos one sl beside the tv. Im looking to buy two more sonos one sl to have behind where im sitting, for surround and was wondering if that would be possible? Hi EveryoneSo I was planning on buying an LG32UN880P-B monitor for my HP laptop (I5-ee0002na). Along with this I am going to buy some sort of docking station to connect everything together and lastly a Sonos Beam Gen 2 for the sound. My main needs of this setup is to watch media  (movies using Plex and stream Netflix and Amazon). Since my research my understanding is that to connect the beam to this set up I would need to buy an HDMI audio extractor and connect by optical to get 5.1 but I wound not be able to get Dolby Atmos unless I buy the Arcana HDfury which is a pricy option. So looking for another solution, I have looked around and found this LG monitor 32sq780sw which has an Earc connection. So my question to Sonos is as this monitor has an Earc connection will I be able to connect the beam to the monitor just like a regular smart tv and everything should work, including Dolby Atmos? or will I still have to go down the audio extractor or HDfury route? Also how would I connect the b

I have a Sonos Arc attached to my Tv.  I purchased a Sonos Amp and Sonos Speakers, and installed the speakers in the ceiling in the same room as the TV.  I have been able to play music through the Arc and the Sonos Speakers (Amp) without any issue.  I have not been able to play the TV sound through the added Sonos Speakers attached to the Sonos Amp.  I thought I would be able to do this wireless just like playing music through the arc, but does not seem to work.  I am ok with using HDMI cable or whatever I need to do to make this work.

hi, I am running sonos arc paired with er300’s for my rear speakers and sub gen 3 for my living room.  i also have onkyo avr receiver plugged in hdmi through the tv not using earc or arc hdmi port.  Earc/arc hdmi port is being used for my sonos arc soundbar.  My onkyo receiver is paired with sonos port and the receiver is powering wired speakers for outdoor use.  I am not getting any audio even though i was able to link my sonos port to my avr receiver.  i don’t understand why i am not getting any sound ?.  when i play music app on sonos app it seems to work but no audio.

Hi everyone, I have a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) connected via optical to my Sony TV (it has no (e)ARC connection) coupled with 2 Era 100s and I am trying to set them up correctly so that I can hear music (streaming from my NAS) and watch TV (Netflix, Disney+, Prime, cable TV) without constantly fondling with the Surround settings when switching between both play modes.I found settings for watching TV (in the Surround settings TV level up to +10 or more, Music level to -10 or less, Music Playback Full), but when I then switch to streaming music the sound only seems to come from the Beam and the Era 100s as Surround speakers are not noticeable. When I setup everything for listening to music (in Surround Settings TV and music level to 0, Music Playback still Full) and then switch to TV, voices are overshadowed by the background music and in general to low in volume. It's also hard for me to understand which settings influence what. E.g. for Speech Enhancement I hear no difference, likewise for th

Sonos Beam. Sometimes the audio is ok. Other times it is ok but I cannot adjust the volume up or down. Sometimes no audio at all. Tried disconnecting from power to no avail.Any help will be appreciated.

So, it happened.Loud bam and the arc went quiet…Kids terrified and crying.Whats next?

Saw some neg feedback on here from a few years ago (2019) but looks like Thenos is the only ones that make a true in-the-wall flush mount for my Sonos One & Play:1 speakers so I decided to try only one of their PlayBoxes for our master bathroom and see…The live-chat rep and person that emailed me back n forth with my questions was very responsive, super patient and very accommodating. Seems they are all based here in the US and said that the have recently made some company changes and built a new website, also they updated the in-wall PlayBox model so that it works for both residential and commercial installs - I plan on ordering more for our restaurant that we own (will get the black ones though).Master Bath Install:

I know mine is set update automatically but I used to check for updates and get one occasionally. It hasn’t happened for 2+ years. Are there no more updates? How do I know I have most recent

I have purchased a Sonos Beam and trying to work out if it will work with my B&O Beovision Horizon 40’’ TVcan anybody assistmany thanks

Can the ethernet port on a Sonos Beam be used to connect a turntable?

Three node mesh network, the single speakers (one move, one One, and one Three) are fine, but the Living Room / TV group will skip when streaming Spotify and will skip when playing TV audio.Diagnostic 2115789485Have done resets of router / mesh, reset & reinstalled Sonos app, power cycled everything…. sometimes power cycling the TV beam / group will help for a bit.  Aggravating!!

HiI have a room with my LG OLED TV eARC connected an Arc SL soundbar with a Gen 3 sub.  I want to complete surround for rear speakers.   Would there be any difference with One SLs vs Era 100s for my setup?

i have a home theatre setup with arc, sub and 2 one sl speakers. would adding 1 era 300 make it better

Hi,We own Sonos Arc and we are looking to buy 2 speakers. We live in an apartment.Ideally we would like to install wall or ceiling speakers but not sure if there are any disadvantage comparing the free standing Sonos speakers?ThanksRay

My Sonos Arc worked great for the better part of a year, but about an hour ago it started to continuously send Volume Down commands over HDMI - or that is at least what it looks like. When playing streaming radio on the Arc nothing out of the ordinary happens with the sound (it works normally with a steady volume) - BUT the TV is continuously reporting volume down commands. It doesn't seem te be the TV that causes it, as restarting it caused it to enter Safe Mode - which  normally happens when you keep pressing Volume Down. To rule out the TV remote, I removed it's batteries.Unplugging the Sonos HDMI cable results in immediate normal behaviour of the TV.When this happens, the Sonos app also shows the volume going down. The light on the Arc flashes.Any idea what's going on here? I created a diagnostics report; it number is 1255298220.

Hi all … well known topic I know, and has been asked before. I’m having troubles with my playbase, it was working fine until a few days ago when it just stopped being recognised by the Sonus app, the whole “front room” of PB, sub and 2 x play 1’s disappeared. I have re-established a connection with the 2 x play 1’s and also the sub, however mega problems with the playbase. If I hardwire direct to router then all is fine, but when I try to use it via wifi it can’t establish a connection. I will try n run a diagnostics check soon (when I find out how!), and post the result on here. Many thanks in advance - Ian

Hi. I currently have a Beam + 2x Play:1 for surround sound in the lounge. We are having a media room built and I was going to use the same kit, but the wife wants flush, ceiling mounted speakers. My question is - are there alternatives to Sonance? I would prefer the usual wireless setup yet I believe Sonance require cable / Amp.I know there are wall / ceiling mounts out there for the Play:1, but I stress my question is - is there a wireless, flush-to-ceiling speaker alternative to Sonance?

I wish we could have the option of either adding front 300s or at the very least, being able to control the front side speaker volumes to help create a wider front sound field.  Question is, is this even possible with firmware or software updates or would this require a whole new Arc, which would be ok too.

I am getting beyond frustrated the last couple months. My Sonos Arc drops sound/skips frequently. I have a Samsung 4k OLED tv less than a year old. The arc is less than a year. I tried all new cables. Rebooting, updates all new. Contacted Sonos, they blame Samsung, contact Samsung, they are just stupid to deal with and keep passing me around to no resolution. Sonos has no issues when I stream music through the app. no one will help me with exchanging the Sonos bc it they blame each other.  Is there a resolution out there for these issues? A product I can buy? Or something unrelated out there I haven't thought of?  thank you

Hello, my sonos Beam 1 has been fine for about a year, but gas recently disconnected its self and despite the sonos app recognising its presence, it doesn't automatically associate and connect to my WiFi. App requests manual inputting of WiFi and password address and then fails to connect. I have tried all available resets. My WiFi works consistently well with the 4 x Play 1s I have.

Hi,I have been spending quite a few hours trying to put my pair of ERA 100 speakers to join my beam.1- Did try to setup wifi differently (changed channel, and alot of other settings like QoS to try to see if it was an issue with the router, but its not)2- Did try to fix my SONOS devices ip addresses (Now my device are fixed but the problem persist)What i observe is this:1 - I can join my ERA 100 no problems in pair.2- The Beam is connected through optical to my TV3- I can unjoin the pair with no problems. (when i try to make the surround, i make sure they are not joined) 4- I can play music on all my devices (The pair, the beam and the Symfonisk)5- As soon as i try to “Set up Surrounds”, everything starts but at some point it never ends. On the 10 time or so i did try, only one time the setup finished with a “victory chime”. But then, my ERA speakers are “offline”, power cycling them will not bring them back up, i have to reset to factory to get them to work again. I am able to replica
