Hello, I am having trouble with my play 5 speaker when I add it as a surround speaker with my playbar and sub. The play 5 works fine when unpaired and also works when it is added as a stereo pair. But when I add it as a surround speaker the speaker doesn’t output any sound. If I hit the physical volume buttons when paired in surround the volume of the other speakers change but not the speaker in question. The same thing occurs whether I’m using the TV or just the speakers themselves. I have tried factory resetting everything in the 5.1 system and re-adding them and also altering the Surround Audio settings within the Sonos app. Are there any other troubleshooting methods out there that I should try? I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure this out for the past few days and can’t figure it out. One thing to note is that the speaker is a gen 2 play 5 that has a faulty wifi card but it is connected to the system via ethernet. I have read all the threads on here on this topic but does anyone have up-to-date experience with comparing the latest equipment and software. I own neither so far, but what has caught my eye is a NAD AV amp which has BlueSound OS built in. This level of integration appeals to me. Most importantly, it solves my worry about the virtual centre channel in a 5.1 Sonos home cinema system using two Sonos Amps (subject of a separate post). Because of this and not wanting a soundbar, I have decided to replace my current AV Amp, initially planning on using the Sonos Port to deliver streamed music, when I came across the Bluesound based NAD alternative. The Bluesound amps (Power Node or PowerNode Edge) both also have a line level output - allowing it to drive a pair of speakers and give an input to an existing stereo. Bonjour. Je viens d'acheter une tv Sony XR-77A83K, connectée à une barre de son sonos (première génération) avec le câble optique. Et depuis cet achat, quand la tv est éteinte et que j'écoute la radio ou musique de ma bibliothèque, sur mon système de son, donc barre de son sonos et d'autres enceintes sonos, j'ai le son qui coupe régulièrement pendant quelques secondes (7s) uniquement sur la barre de son, et pas sur les autres enceintes. Quand je déconnecte le câble optique de ma barre de son (donc venant de la tv), je n'ai plus le problème. Ce problème vient bien de la sortie optique de ma TV. Avant j'avais une TV Sony bravia 55W905A, connecté avec câble optique à la même barre de son Sonos et je n'avais pas ce problème. En cherchant sur les forums, beaucoup de personnes ayant des barres de son Sonos (ou autres marques) connecté en câble optique ont le même problème. New to Sonos.I am not able to find any detailed info on using the Sonos Amp as a home theatre set up.I have 5.1 conventional setup and thinking of retiring my AV Amp, leaving me with 5 good satellite speakers and a decent sub.It is easy to see how the rear part works with one Amp. Less clear how the front will work. Left, right and sub can work off the Amo (assuming software\config allows), but how is the critical middle channel (under the TV) made to work?Will a single Sonos One deliver the middle channel? Or is the middle channel somehow virtual, which sounds like a weak solution that depends on crucial sound stage questions. I don’t want that.Or am I stuck with having to get a Sonos soundbar? In this case will my front left and right conventional speakers become redundant? Or will they work in concert with the soundbar? Or will the left and right soundbar channels be redundant?I don’t want to buy a Sonos Amp just to feed a low level signal to my well powered sub. Can the sub out

Given the hype of the Nakamichi Dragon 11.4.6 system, it would be amazing to see Sonos support multiple era 300 surrounds. Adding two more 300s to a large space would yield 11.2.6 which I think would be a good option and in a large room suppprt a better atmos experience overall. Bonus points for allowing the use of more than 2 subs. But I can’t see many users doing that.  

I just upgraded my iPad Air 4 to an iPad 11 Pro 2022 model only to find out true play is not supported on this iPad?!I am an Android guy and bought the iPad Air 4 specifically to be able to use true Play on my system and ended up enjoying using it to surf on etc. Searching the forum I see this has been an issue since 2018. Why would Sonos not opt to support these higher end faster iPads? To me this sort of shows how archaic Sonos speakers are as well as how inept their engineering team is.What an absolute utter disappointment.I just spent hours also trying to get my speakers onto a new router and it was a nightmare only to find out I cannot tune them with true play on my iPad 11. I think I am done with Sonos and I'm just going to buy an atmos sound bar and sub from another manufacturer, this is sad.  

Trying to achieve more base with my Sonos system.  I two ones and a beam and have been told that adding the 500 would help?  Should I also look at a sub-wolfer or 330?  Thoughts please...

Has anyone got a picture of an arc wall mounted using the sanus extending mount bracket?Sonos say it offers an “unimpeded” Dolby atmos experience… Probably a long shot but,can anyone confirm or deny if one bracket is better than the other sound wise?

Hi, this has been doing my head in. My Sonos app only shows Dolby digital 5.1 for ps5 game audio. I have set the tv to pass through, changed ps5 audio to av receiver and 7.1 ch and have changed the audio priority to dts or Dolby.  I have a Samsung q80t and it apparently can’t do lpcm over earc. I should still be able to do Dolby digital plus 7.1, no? Others have confirmed they get 7.1 audio with this set up so it is possible.

I am looking to add an arc and two era 100 as rears to my living room and the arc would ideally be situated under my TV mounted on the wall.I’ve found out that using the original sonos wall mount will reduce the bass significantly and was wondering if a non original wall mount would still allow the arc to recognise it’s on the wall and reduce the bass?  tia 

Hello, it is my understanding that this Sonos arc can be hardwired along with a Sonos amp, and then ceiling speakers for the rear. As long as everything is hardwired, is there an issue? I know if the arc and amp or wireless they have to be within 20 feet of each other? 

I’d like to use two ERA 100 speakers paired for stereo as the primary output using an Amazon Firestick?  Will they work?

I do have a beam gen 2 , sub mini and 2 x Era100 which I use as surround.Lately I noticed that there are connection issues like  when watching a movie the sound is totally lost from all speakers for about a second and  continues like every minute which annoys me when watching a movie.Recently it went worse and sound stopped totally when watching movie on apple TV ( Netflix)  and never came back until I switched to TV then closed the TV and open again. This happened also a few times but I really don’t know the reason.My modem is in the same room with my setup, don’t think there is anything wrong with the wifi.Any of you facing same issues ?

Hello everyone, I’ve recently bought an Arc and I couldn’t wait to add it to my system to replace my Beam Gen 2 which is currently paired to my Sub Gen 3 and a pair of Ones as surrounds which will be soon replaced by a pair of Era 300. My Beam and Sub are connected to the router (a 5 port hub actually) by ethernet while my Ones on Wi-Fi and everything works fine, I even have a pair of SYMFONISK in my bedroom connected on Wi-Fi. I’ve spent an entire evening trying to connect the Arc to my system but I couldn’t get it to work, I’ve tried everyting in my knowledge but nothing happened: tried several times to factory reset the Arc, tried to reboot the router, tried to connect on Wi-Fi and then by ethernet but nothing changes: I always get this type of errors (I translate from italian so I don’t know if the translation is accurate with the actual message with the app set to english):  Connection to Sonos Arc was interrupted. Hello. The sound of my beam gen 2 with sub mini became quieter and got worse in overall quality after 15.5 version update. The sub mini looks like it got less powerful too. Did it happen to anyone else? I tried trueplay again and reset to factory settings but it didnt help.

Problem:It's been several months since I've been able to use the Sonos Play:1 speakers (WIFI) in surround with my Sonos Beam (RJ45), when I play music on them, every x minutes or tens of minutes there are sound cuts on one of the Play:1s, as if I was running out of network.If I use them independently there's no problem, I've tried several times to disconnect/reconnect, reset, but each time it's the same problem.I've also tried maximizing the group audio offset, but nothing (then it's not so much an offset, it's outright cuts).There's clearly a problem with communication between the speakers.Apart from the surround (which allows you to have a single "device" playing the music), the "group" functionality is really not optimized, each time having to reset the sound to the same level, having to reselect the speakers to play the music, ...Solution:By switching my Beam to WIFI, the problem no longer seems to occur, I don't understand what could have changed, I've neither changed my router no

Attention Sonos Community,I'm in need of some serious assistance, and I'm hoping you can help me out with my predicament. Here's the situation:I recently received the Roam as a Father's Day gift, and I've been enjoying playing music through both my home theater setup (Arc + 2 Ones) and the Roam simultaneously. However, I encountered a major issue today that has left me scratching my head.After briefly streaming music through AirPlay to both my home theater and the Roam, I noticed that my home theater stopped playing audio, while the Roam continued to function normally. I attempted to reconnect my home theater via AirPlay, but to my dismay, I received a vague error message on my iPhone.In my desperation to find a solution, I went through an extensive troubleshooting process, including multiple router resets, reaching out to customer support, and even unplugging and reconnecting the Arc. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to work, and I eventually resorted to performing a factory reset. Howev

I have Earc hdmi om both Sonos Arc and TV, but no Atmos support on TV. How do I get Atmos? The newest “Chromecast HD” support Atmos - Can I somehow connect it, to solve the problem? (do I need the HDFury or VAX04101A to fix the problem)? I need help from the experts :-)

I have setup my playbase & sub via wifi. Works perfectly.  but when i plugged in ethernet cable to either one of them, they suddenly stopped working & sonos app cant find them. I am using a mesh network. TP-link Deco, connected to a switch(unmanaged), then to the playbase/sub.Any help? 

Just updated to 15.5 firmware update and noticed less volume from beam gen 2. Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Hi,The standard theatre setup is to pair beam gen2 with a pair of era 300, I wonder to pair the beam gen2 with 1 era 300, would this enhance the Atmos audio or it just have to be one beam gen 2 with 2 rear Era 300? Thanks

hi I have the era 100 both of them set up as a surround sound sound with the arc and a sub. The reason I bought the area 100 is so I can plug in my Dj mixer using the auxiliary input with the adapter. So far no luck when I try to play my Dj mixer into Era 100. Sonos support told me I need to buy the specific Sonos line usb c adapter from their site for this to work. Is this true? or would I not be able to play because it’s already part of the surround system? 

I have one Sonos Soundbar and two Sonos Ones (G2) that simply do not want to be part of the same room. Two Ones were set up as Living Room and play nicely. When I try to add Soundbar it is always created as a separate “Living Room 2”. I can group them as two separate rooms to play the same music, but if I try to tune them they get tuned independently as two separate rooms.Any way to make all three speakers part of the same room as the same setup? 

I’m reasonably new to Sonos products…I have had a Sonos Arc for about a week. It’s connected via HDMI to my LG OLED TV. Settings on the TV are to use eARC, passthrough and Dolby Digital Plus codec.Yesterday I recevied x2 Era 300s that I want to use a rear surround speakers. I’ve added these to the Arc home cinema systemHave tried Dolby Atmos sound by watching something on Netflix. Sound is definitely coming from the Era 300’s. It’s a little quiet but think I can change that in the app. in the app the Arc Home Theatre set-up also shows its receiving a Dolby Atmos signal.Moving onto non-Atmos; I’ve tried a few different videos using 5:1 surround sound. Not a peep is coming from the Era 300;s. I’ve checked the app and can see the Arc is receiving a 5:1 signal but only seems to be playing this via the Arc and not using the Era 300s.I have no idea where I’m going wrong!In an ideal world I’d also be able to use the Era 300s to output audio when playing 2:0 or PCM content but wouldnt want to

I have a Beam Gen 2 plus 2 Sonos Ones as surround sound for my Hisense TV. All streaming services work fine (Netflix, iPlayer, 4onDemand etc) however Disney+ does not work perfectly. Every now and then it drops out for a millisecond. When checking with Sonos support they ran a few checks and said the speaker network was dropping quite regularly, but weirdly this only seems to be on Disney+. Annoyingly there's no way to reinstall the app on the TV, so not really sure what else to try. Disney+ did work perfectly for about 3 months or so.Any thoughts?
