Very happy with my Roam but apparently it does not work on SONOSNET (WMO) status WM1. The rest of my Sonos system only works on Sonosnet because I have a Mesh wifi system that, trust me, will not work correctly with Sonos (Mesh Tp-Link M9 Deco). The Roam works but I am not able to install Google assistant. Simply won’t find the Roam. It finds the other speakers just fine. (One, Arc) Could this have anything to doe with de WM1 status? Thanks in advance
See this topic had been discussed but I do not see a solution . I have rebooted. Reloaded Google assistant but same msg
The Beam google assistant worked fine for a year, but coincidentally around the time I’ve updated the iOS sonos app to v2 I couldn’t use the assistant anymore (I say hey google and get the response in the title of this post). I’ve managed to fix it twice by going through the google assistant and sonos app and reconnecting everything, but next day it comes back to this. Tried to uninstall the sonos app v2 and use the v1 again, but it can’t connect to it, probably because sonos v2 had installed a new firmware to the beam when I first installed it. is there a permanent fix to this?
Is it just me or is GA integration getting worse by the day? It's getting to the point now where you can't rely on an adequate response from any command. It's nearly always 'i can't do that right now' or I can't find any devices.... etc etc. I know it's not my set up as sometimes it work and sometimes it doesn't. It's clearly just bad implementation. It was bad from the start but I at least thought it would get better with time, never dreamt it could get worse. Whoops - can't seem to edit topic heading
For quite some time now my Google Home Hub can not control my connected Sonos speakers, no matter what command I give. I unlinked and link the Sonos service multiple times and all speakers appear in their correct rooms in the Google home app. Whenever I select a speaker in the app though, I don’t get any controls (think I used to?) just a screen with basic information: Sonos speaker in Google home appAlso, when I select ‘Media’ in the Google home app, my ‘kitchen display’ (the Home Hub) is the only device shown. I tried to do the voice assistant set up via the Sonos app as shown in Set up a Google Assistant device to control Sonos but instead of the option to ‘set up your google home to work with Sonos’ shown in the GIF, I only get the option to ‘Add to Sonos’ which brings up the option to set up Google assistant on my Move (which has this function built in of course). Not what I want I don’t think. I don’t want the Move responding to my Hey Google, commands, just the Home Hub, which I
I have overdrive linked in Sonos and I can play an audiobook via the app. How do I do this using google voice assistant?
This has been asked about before but the forum threads seem old. So here it is again in case there is new information available. My Sonos 1 sometimes understands commands but mostly doesn’t. We end up shouting at it, singing at it, saying please, and then usually give up and just play spotify/radio on it by using the app instead. Sort of defeats the object. For now I have the Google Home back in it’s place so the family can all use it without stressing every time. The Sonos has been relegated to my workshop where it barely sees the light of day :( Any help please
Can you make old model Sonos play 5 etc work with google assist etc, can it sync with a google nest or any other options, Cheers
Sonos has no support for my country SERBIA.When I try to connect to google home or Bixby I get the message "I don't support your country"Can you make an effort to get my country SERBIA full support for sonos speakers, such as apple music and Tidal and other services available in my country.Believe me there are plenty of users who use your speakers.Hoping you will listen to my suggestions many greetings.Goran Stojanovicm I Don't Want To Miss A Thing *Moderation note: avoid posting personal details on a public forum*
Hello, does anyone know if it will be possible to connect the sonos equipment to google assistant in my region (ARGENTINA)? I have an automation and home automation company and we want to implement the sonos equipment to our offer. We currently use FINDER equipment for automation, and samsung. Thank you very much for your time.
About 6-8(?) weeks ago my a few of my devices dropped out of my household. I don’t know the trigger for that. Most of my voice capable devices suddently kept on “I can’t connect to the internet...” - the only exception was my Sonos Move. There are also some devices that was in the household that are not discoverable (does not appear in the list if devices). In the Voice section of my iOS app, when I go into the device list, it showed the Move and all the other devices that had been configured with voice was not shown (and when I try and add, it says all device already configured with voice). I went to my sonos.com profile and look at my system and a lot if them was showing “offline” even though they are up and has valid IPs. The voice capable devices had their mic enabled but I kept on getting the “can’t connect to internet error” when the wakeword is triggered. Those devices that are showing as offline in my sonos.com:profile:system cannot playback Spotify but can play local li
Just wanted to shout out if anyone has this experience. When a voice capable (I configure them with Google VA) device hasn’t been “spoken” to in a long time (I didn’t pay attention to what constitutes “a long time” but my hunch is around the order of 2-3 days), the first time the response will contain an audible click (very soft but nonetheless audible). I will try and submit a diag next time this happens. What other info can I collect if this happens again?
Having trouble adding the google assistant to arc. No issues adding to move or one. the google assistant app just says “no device found” when i try to add to my arc... All devices on same wifi set up.Have already tried factory reset, unlinking and relinking sonos account to google assistant. Super frustrating as I want to use my ones as surrounds with the arc but not lose the google assistant. any tips?
Have Sonos solved the issue of not being able to preset a fixed volume level for Google Assistant feedback? I know this issue has been discussed in several threads before, but it is annoying and it is 2021 now… *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the community guidelines.*
Every time I try to connect to coonect my Google and Sonos account i got the message that i have to connect my speakers to my sonos account. When checking my sonos app they are connected and i have the newest update on the app, what can I do?
Gave google assistant a shot on my Sonos Beam - started a podcast on Spotify, which worked fine, but then if I try “Hey Google, fast forward 30 seconds” or “Hey Google, rewind 30 seconds” - I get the “sorry I don’t know what you mean” error. When I switch over to Alexa, it works perfectly fine.
I am trying to play music through Google assistant commands on sonos one. But it does not listen to my commands. I am using youtube music.
HiThank you very much Sonos for this.My system was working perfectly fine until last week one of my speakers (bookshelf) started acting up. Since I have a wifi extension I wondered where it was connected exactly so I decided to reset it.I boot my tablet, (android 7 working perfectly well up to then), and it says: “there is an update for sonos app”. And idiot that I am i hit “update”….it took a while to update and me wondering why …..Surprise!!.The new piece of whatever refused to add a new speaker because “android 7 is no longer supported” And I haven’t been able to find the previous version of S2 to just stick with it.So as the double idiot that I am I go and decide to buy a new tablet with android 10.And what now?Yes, I can now readd my speaker to the system. But this thing comes with something called Google Go. And you can’t delete it. You can disable it but Google play doesnt care. It’s still there and GP refuses to install “Google LLC” instead. Why is this important you ask?Becaus
I have two Sonos Ones and set up Google Assistant through both.Google Assistant CONSTANTLY activates when we are having conversations that do not even use the word Google, when the TV is on and a character says anything vaguely resembling those words, and sometimes just randomly when there is no noise happening at all. Super over it and ready to turn it off. Anyone have this issue or any idea how to fix it? I do not have an option in my Google Home app on my phone (Pixel) to turn down the sensitivity of response and don’t know else to do.
Sonos move does not recognise google assistantOk so I got 2 Sonos move speakers connected to the wifi with the sonos app. I also have Google assistant installed on both of them. Now recently like 4 days ago I can’t use google to play music on my sonos. Weirder yet when I open the sonos app it says I cant find both sonos devices on the network. I check both speakers were on. I tried different machines phones/tablets same result. Funny thing when I said google commands like “turn lights on/off” it still worked. But when I tried the commands “play top40” it says something along the lines: “Sonos will play top40” followed by “Cannot play”.I tried to reset the speakers (process of turning them off and on the charger pressing some button). I reconfigured/installed them. I added the speakers again and tried to install google assistant. The first try it works, but when I give the command “play top40” it says again something along the lines: “Sonos will play top40” followed by “Cannot play”. But
Dear SonosAs a Sonos user which uses your integration with google assistant I think it’s absolutely horrible that you can’t choose the volume on the assistant. It doesn’t even include a mode for the evening/night. When I’m asking the assistant or for example turning of the lights in the night, assistant just screams out loud with the last playback volume and wakes up my whole family. This basically ruins the whole experience and makes it unusable, I’m even thinking of ditching the assistant on the Sonos speakers and buying some nests instead which i think shouldn’t even be considered when already having a full Sonos system. Please address this issue asap, or at least release a quick fix.
I am having an issue in sending a broadcast message from my Sonos One Gen2 and from my Sonos Beam. Whenever I try to send a broadcast from Sonos I receive the error “looks like there aren’t any other speakers connected on your home network so I can’t broadcast your message.” However if I send the instruction via the phone App or via Google Hub, the broadcast works just fine and sends it to all my speakers (delayed but works). I have done the following:Google Assistant on all speakers Default speaker selected for all speakers Address set for all speakers Latest software update for all speakersI have also deleted all the voice assistants from the speakers, unlinked the Sonos account from Google. Rebooted everything and put it all back and still no luck. So working fine on Google side to send and receive but on Sonos can only receive?
I have Sonos speakers in most of the rooms in my house. I also use Nest, for instance the Nest Hello doorbell. When someone rings it, there is a notification on all speakers 'someone's at the front door'. This is great, but I want the ability to switch this notification off in certain rooms, eg. the guest rooms.I have one Nest Mini speaker in one of the rooms. It has a menu option in settings 'Notifications and digital wellbeing'. There I can switch on/off notifications and there will be no doorbell announcement. How can I do this on the Sonos speakers?
Hi, My google home no longer recognizes my S1 sonos products (eg Connect:Amp). In google home I click on the “+” icon (upper left) and select “Set up device” and then “Works with Google”. Under the list of “Linked services” I do not see sonos. I then click on the search icon any type in sonos and click on the sonos icon. A pop up message indicating “Linking your sonos account” appears briefly and then the “Set up a device” screen appears. When I click on “Works with Google” again, Sonos does not appear in the linked services list. All of my software is updated. I do not see where I can unlink my sonos account from google home. I though unlinking and then relinking would help.Thank you in advance.
