After over four hours on Live Chat and the phone with Sonos support, I still can’t update my Sonos One or Connect.Initially the Apps (Android, Apple & Windows) were telling me I needed to do an update. But every time I tried, the update failed with either a 30 or 1001 error.Online support had me rebooting the router and individual devices numerous times, with no success.After 4 hours they then told me the latest updates on the update server were not complete and to try again today. (You couldn’t make it up that I wasted 4 hours for what sounds like a known issue).Roll on to today and I still can’t update the system. Following a hunch, I removed the One and the Connect from my existing system, did a factory reset on both. Before adding them back, the system was stable and wasn’t telling me I needed an update. (Arc, Five surrounds, Sub & Move).I then added back the One (Gen2) and the Connect which had previously worked fine.On doing this, the App told me I needed o update both an

Hello all – I have the Arc Ultra set up through my LG Oled55B6P HDMI ARC port. I have an odd issue where every time my TV turns off, if it is not on the ARC HDMI port the Ultra is connected to, the Ultra gets disconnected. The only way to get the Ultra to work again is to switch the HDMI port back to the ARC HDMI channel. For instance, if I turn on my TV after previously playing PS5 through HDMI port 3, it will not have any sound until I switch temporarily back to the ARC HDMI port (2). Then I go back to the PS5 and it works fine. Also if I then switch to another HDMI port while the TV is on after the Ultra is already connected, it also works fine (e.g. after playing PS5 I switch to the Chromecast HDMI channel (1) ). I’ve tried turning off CEC and that doesn’t work. Would appreciate any suggestions or fixes. Perhaps it’s an issue with the Arc Ultra not waking up? Thanks  

I have set up a new router and my Sonos arc will not connect via Wi-Fi it is impractical for me to use an ethernet cable I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app done a factory reset on the arc rebooted the router and it was still not connect.  

My current problem is that on my iPhone I only can access some of some of my speakers and it seems different based on where I am in the house/which mesh node my phone is connected to. To further investigate this problem I've been experimenting with the webapp on my hardwired iMac and with that I can play music on every speaker but only certain speakers can be grouped together.Before I jump into some details about the issues I'll give you a full picture of my current network setup. Here’s an image of my current setup: Some notable things are that I've added a wired TP Link TL-R605 router into the setup to allow me to set my Deco mesh system to bridge mode ("acces point mode" per the Deco app).  This was necessary as my Nokia ONT has no routing capabilities, for reference my internet provider is Ziply Fiber and they provided the Nokia ONT.  After that you can see my full network map, the solid lines are CAT6 ethernet runs and the dashed lines are wireless connections.In my router setting

I have a home theater setting with front in wall speakers powered by a sonos amp and rear ceiling speakers powered by a second sonos amp.  I also have a Definitive Technologies in wall subwoofer powered by a Definitive Technologies SubAmp 600 getting it’s signal from the Sonos Amp.  The SubAmp 600 has knobs to control volume, crossover frequency, and phase.  The Sonos app has controls to control volume, crossover frequency, and phase.  My question is, which one of these should I be use to set these parameters?  What should the other one be set at it?  

Ok, i can't play music on any of my 4 play3 since last week. Either the app tells me a song is being played, but there is no sound coming from the player, or the app can't connect to the system, or There is the messagecouldn't play content. Try again. You can try as many times as you want it will not work I've calles the support twice. Really helpful and nice people each time. But the solutions are long : uninstall the app reinstall the app change network channel shut down phone. Unplug internet box wait for 15sec replug connect to wifi try ton play something. Sometimes it works but the problem will repeat in less than one hour.  I can't get Spotify ton play for more than one hour. Then the system is unreachable.Only this weekend i tried for hours tobolay something without success. What happened in the last update ?This problem is new. It should be reversed!Who else has It ?  

Hello all … quick question for the group. I am awaiting shipment of my Sub 4, which I plan to integrate with my Arc and existing Sub 3.  When I receive my Sub 4, place it, and power it on, I have a question…When I launch my Sonos app, I know I should be going to the room where I have my existing system set up and use the “Connect Second Sub” feature from within the room.  BUT, when I launch into the Sonos app, won’t it detect my new Sub 4 pretty much immediately and want me to set it up (via a pop up or something) -- before I even have a chance to navigate into my room?Thanks!

I have two Play:1 speakers and have constant problems connecting to the app.  I’ve spent hours trying to reset systems, updated IP addresses etc…. Once I got it all to work then…..it disappears from my app.  NO speakers found.   One of the speakers will still play when I use the button on the speaker,  one will not.   I”m so disappointed with Sonos…..I’ve not purchased anything new and refuse to do so until they fix this issue without needing computer science degree.  In this era of technology, it should be easy.  please provide an easy fix!Thank you.

  After receiving the last update, the ERA100 Sonos ARC Ultra, sonos 5 gen and sub gen 3 were not visible in the app, after factory setting recovery. the installation is broken with error code 1108. someone has an idea of how to fix this.  

Hi everyone, I just got sonos ace. I wanted to listen to quiet music in bed and realised they are too loud in the minimum volume setting.I have an IPhone and use Spotify for streaming, and couldn’t find any solution in my phone’s software. As I just bought them I updated them already, and it didn’t help. 

I use Sonos Port to blend my Yamaha R N303 network receiver and stereo PSB MK ii speakers. the Port blends the PSB speakers with 2 Sonos play 5 and a Move speaker. I use IPhone 13 and IPad to interface with Spotify and Sonos app. 90% of the time I adjust volume within the Sonos app. I have to adjust the Receiver volume up to 65%-85% and also the sonus PSB volume considerably higher than the play 5s and move. this afternoon I hooked up  2 mordant Short outside wired deck speakers as B on the Yamaha. This also presents a very low volumes .  To get a decent loud volume on either the PSB or deck speakers I have to turn the receiver up high as well as adjust the port to high volumes well above the Sonos speakers in the app. I’m very uncomfortable with this for fear of a glitch blowing both sets of speakers or other damage. How should the port volume work. If the 3 Sonos speakers are at 40- Should the PSB speakers also be at 40? 

Why does Sonos SUCK!!!! speakers sound amazing!  However, they don’t connect to anything….  When they do they drop 30-seconds into song!   I would NEVER recommend people buy these very expensive pieces of JUNK!!!   So disappointed!!!   Horrible!!!!

Building on other threads on this topic (all of which have been closed by Sonos), I want to also share that I had an absolutely terrible support experience with my Sonos Connect (which powers hard wired speakers in the house). It suddenly lost wifi connection and ultimately Sonos support told me I had to keep it connected to my router -- which is a non-option given where the speakers are located. After it worked fine for 5 years. Ultimately, I bought a Port -- all I got was a 15% off coupon. After countless hours on the phone with support and sales.  The Port works fine, including on wifi, but I wish Sonos would have just told me “The Connect is dead, buy a Port” -- and it would also have been nice if they made it easier and less costly to upgrade. I have multiple Sonos devices in the house, but my loyalty is in question after this terrible customer service experience.

Hello everyone!I am still newer to Sonos and have a Beam Gen 2, Era 100’s, along with a Sub Mini. I am curious if using an SPL Meter is still recommended for my rear speakers or do I just let TruePlay do its thing and keep it where it at.I have heard that we need to use our ears more with these setups as it’s more room filling pseudo effects rather than direct. I tend to be a slave to the SPL Meter and making sure all the channels are level. Maybe I just need to change my thinking.Thanks for any input!

My SONOS was working great for the past year- until it wasn’t last week (just as an app refresh was released.) After spending 4 days troubleshooting, with ChatGPT and multiple calls to SONOS, we narrowed down the likely issue to NAT interference between my Vodafone router and ExpressVPN. With that, we unplugged the power from my VPN, and tested with both Sonos radio and Gloval player. They worked. The larger NAT interference solution from the SONOS tech was for me to call Vodafone and ask them to put my router in bridge mode, or switch the router out for a modem. Only snag  is that I’m posted to Germany. Still, Google translate helped me schedule a call with a Vodafone rep later today to try to address the issue. In the meantime, even though my network is showing up in the app, my Sonos radio and Global Player are connected to the app, and I have internet and WiFi working, I’m getting an error message “Something went wrong. Try again.”  Any ideas? My system goes from the cable hard-wir

Hi, I have 3 perfectly great sounding but old Sonos 1, 3 and 5 speakers that I’d like to convert to Bluetooth. Am I right in saying that if I purchase “any” one Bluetooth enabled Roam or Era Sonos device that I can convert all of my current devices to Bluetooth?  If my thoughts from my research are correct will one Roam or Era cover all 3 of my old devices?  Many thanks in advance. I have an Ultra Arc connected via Earc to my LG tv.  When I set up the Ultra Arc I attempted to have Sonos recognize my tv remote.  It wasn’t working in some aspects so I skipped it. The tv remote controls the volume coming out of the tv.  When I play music through via Alexa through the Arc, end the music and later turn on the tv, the tv remote for sound control is not working.  I can change the volume on the Sonos app.  I usually have to turn of the tv off to get control back. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Hi all, I'm possibly looking at grabbing Sub gen4, whilst they are on offer, but I have a question. I know the Sub and mini cannot be paired together.So,I currently have a beam and Sub mini in my living room, a few ones darted round the house and a pair of ones in stereo in my kitchen. Can I unpair the Sub mini, and reconnect it to my stereo pair for music And use the gen 4 with my beam? Occasionally I have music play though all my devices at the same time, how would this work with the mini and Sub gen4?Would it work? Thank you. 

Does adding a Sub 4 impact the experience much more than what i am getting from the current set up of Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300

I reverted to Android 16.1 after the May 2024 update disaster and have been quite content to stay there until recently when I purchased a Sonos Roam 2, when it recently went on sale.   However ttempting to add it to my system appeared to require a system upgrade (i’m assuming this means firmware *and* app)!I have 2 S1’s, a S3, a S5, a Port and a Beam.  I also have a Sonos Roam (version 1) which bricked due to battery issues. (I bought a replacement battery and may attempt to replace myself)  I also have a turntable, a CD player and a vintage Kenwood Ka-8300 amp hooked to some vintage FMI speakers.  I use Sono’s music library feature (stored on a NAS) alot, and also stream Spotify and mostly local radio stations.So here are my questions:What is the latest state of the app?   I see that the latest update was about 2 weeks ago (5/6/2025)  and it mentioned fixes to Music Library folders - which I use as my primary Music Library interface If I do update and don’t like the results, can I sti

I am having a hell of time reconnecting my Sonos One to my WiFi network.  Just when I think I’ve found the secret sequence of steps (and I’ve documented them for myself and AWAYS requires a factory reset and setting up a New System), those steps no longer work and now I’m getting an error message I’ve never seen before (“Your Sonos has been connected to the network but may not show up...”).  What the heck is that?  I can forget about connecting this product to Spotify now.   Come one, guys.  I need a much more repeatable process from you.  Oh, yeah.  One other thing.  Why is the speaker unexpectedly dropping off my WiFi to begin with.  With this new error message I can’t seem to get it back on to where it matters...so I guess the question isn’t relevant.  If this product is too old to support Spotify on a WiFi network, let me know….and if you can guarantee that it will.

I have an issue which was reported in another thread, where selecting a track in Deezer then selecting Start Radio causes a track to start, play silently for 4-5 seconds, then skip to the next track.  It loops that play/skip sequence continuously. The song titles look appropriate as they whiz by, I just would have expected each to play fully. It’s not a Deezer issue in itself, because this works fine in the actual Deezer app; it just fails when using Sonos to play Deezer.  I’m using a Sonos Port, with the Sonos ecosystem correctly linked to my Deezer account (I can play other content from Deezer). This seems to still be broken today, although a reference in the other thread to it being queued up for a fix.  The other thread is locked.  Is this a known issue still? 

Hi, I recently bought a pair of Sonos Era 100 speakers and connected them for stereo. Works fine with Spotify. I then tried to send the sound from my Xming Page One Google TV/ native Netflix projector to the speakers via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connection works fine, but there is no sound when I watch video and connect it to the Sonos speakers. I tried everything, also removed the stereo couple and tried with only one of the two. No sound. It’s not the projector though - when I connect the projector to my Bose headphones via Bluetooth the sound is crystal clear. Anyone any idea? Could it be that the Sonos Era 100’s Bluetooth simply doesn’t work with projectors? Seems I still cannot use the Sonos app to find artist albums in full. Is this just me. I really miss the old app...
