Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have a Denon AV receiver with fabulous L & R wired front speakers. I also have a spare SONOS Beam. I want to combine the existing Denon L & R front speakers with the Beam, and two new SONOS Era 100’s for the rears and a subwoofer. Is this possible? If so, is there a schematic posted somewhere of how to do it? Thx…

I am looking to buy the Samsung q7. Will my 2 era 300 speakers connect to the tv wirelessly or via Bluetooth? 

Hello, I’m interested in using these components in my living room.What’s the best way to hook them up?I’m assuming it would look something like Apple TV > HDMI > Frame TV Connection Box > arc HDMI > Sonos Beam … but then what? Would the Beam and Amp be able to somehow sync wirelessly over WiFi?I’m new to Sonos, so I apologize if this is a dumb question 😂Thank you in advance for any advice!  

Can't get my phones Bluetooth to connect to my sonos ultra soundbar. Followed the instructions and can't find the device or connect to it why?

Okay, I bought a Beam Gen 2, 2 era100s to be used as surrounds and a Sub Mini. I set it up under my wife’s account using our wi-fi system. So, I go to Setting> your system, products & it shows the Beam, Era 100 Left surround, Era 100 Right surround and a sub mini. If I watch something in Tubi which I know is only in stereo in the Sonos app TV HDMI it shows Dolby Atmos. Same with YT. And there are no sounds from the surrounds but when I do True Play they play a sound. Have I got something set up wrong here?

I have an S1 system (a couple of old Play:5 devices) and an S2 system (with 6 zones, including a Sonos Amp).  The Amp and most other S2 devices are using wireless.Things generally work well, but the Amp has started to be troublesome.  It appears in the Sonos App on my iPhone/iPad devices, then disappears.  When it’s there, if I try to play anything (local library, Spotify, BBC Sounds), there’s a delay and I then get a message saying “The connection timed out”.I’ve rebooted it (including leaving power off for 24 hours) but no change.Using a port scanner (ports 1-1400), I am told ports 1400, 1410, 1443, 1843 are open.  I’m not aware of any others than should be - shout if there are any others I should check.Pointing a browser at  http://10.1.1.117:1400/status  I get a handful of links - enetports, wireless, zp, ifconfig etc.Most links provide (on cursory examination) valid data.  However, using ifstatus I’m told the connection has timed out.  I’m puz

Since the Arc Ultra has slightly elevated dialogue with speech enhancement off, I propose adding a speech enhancement category called “true mix” or “enhanced mix” in which the volume of the left and right channel audio matches the real-life mix. Or lower the speech and surround volume to match l-r channel volume.  Leave the other speech enhancements in their current form so if people like them they can still use them as is. 

Is there a way to make night sound come on a timer?Like make the surround sound speakers turn off, turn the base down, and really amp up speach enhancement.  

We primarily used Sonos to play our own very large music library, saved on our mac.  Last year, we suffered the same fate as everyone else, ie the music library was unavailable after the update.  There are no good tech people in our household, so alot of the workarounds are left to me to stumble through the suggestions online.  I tried some, to no avail. I have pretty much ignored the issue for the last year, but it’s been long enough that I’m hoping the problem has been fixed and that there is a semi-easy fix to get our music library playing again.  Googling the issue brings up thousands of threads from over the last 12+ months, but rather than reading a year of dialogue (alot of which clearly pre-dates any fix), i’m hoping someone can cut to the chase:  Did sonos fix this?  If they fixed it, can someone walk me through the fix on a mac? I am a long time Spotify user with a house full of Sonos. I love the UI of Spotify and the music discovery ability. I also love that I can play from the Spotify app to my Sonos system at the same quality as via the Sonos app. HOWEVER, I am getting very frustrated with the lack of hi res audio on Spotify.I have been testing Spotify vs. Amazon Music and to me the difference is obvious. (And Atmos mixes when done right are very cool.) I would consider switching to Amazon Music or Apple Music or Tidal for the high res audio, but in order to get the highest resolution to stream, it needs to be played via the Sonos app. That's fine if I know exactly what I want to listen to, but that's not often my process. I cannot stand using the Sonos app for music browsing. It just doesn't do it well. I have no problems using the Sonos app for speaker configurations, etc., but it's jut not built for music discovery.Is there any high res service out there that will stream full resolution

Two mobiles, two users, two Sonos App installations, one ERA 100. I have a Qobuz Duo account and would like one Qobuz user account on one mobile (iPhone) and mine (the ‘System Owner’) on the other (Android) Can’t seem to achieve this as the Sonos app only recognises one Qubuz account - am I missing something?

Hi everyone,I’ve extended my WiFi with a new node on a Starlink network. Since then 2 of my Sonos look online, are connected and show that they are playing but nothing is happening. As soon as I restart the node, they reconnect to the original WiFi antenna and start playing music normally.the new antenna works perfectly with other devices. any ideas?

I am very happy with my Port. I do think it is priced high.The analog in works fine with my analog turntable and the digital out coax ‘stream through’ to an external dac.What I am missing is an optical in for my cd player.I think it could be a great feature for the Port and increase the value for a small cost. What do you think? My two cents.

Hi!Im going to build a small cinema in the room you can see on the picture. Its not an ideal room size, but it is what it is. My problem is that i want to have a reflective surface for the era 300 which currently dont have a reflectice surface to the left, just a open space that i want to “remove”  by putting up a “surface”, which can not be a full wall from floor to ceiling. Can i use a cabinet/closet (ORANGE in the picture) to create this “wall”, and hosw tall and big should it be to work? is it enough to be a little taller than the higth placement of the era 300? (I gave bougth the original Sonos stand)Thanks!

Hi,beam is updated. Sonos Anroid app is updated. Google account has been connected. Still youtube in sonnos app cannot show music lists or search doesn’t find anything.Sonos radio is working.Has anybody suggestions ?So dissapointing.

Hi All, need some help please. Would this space below be a problem for era 300s? As you can see, the wall juts out at the window and I was going to place one speaker there and one the other side where the wall also juts out. The couch will be in front of it. Just wondering would this impact on surround sound and if 100s would work better here? Thanks  

Hi. Ive recently bought a sonos arc ultra and a pair of sonos era 100. I set them up, use true play and works amazing with hbo, netflix all in sorroud etc.  but the 2 era100 do not work when Im watching youtube or tv. I understand that youtube is not 5.1 but still i want to hear sound from behind my coach. Anybody know how to set it up? thanks

Bonjour, Mon domicile est entièrement équipé de système sonos, dans toutes les pièces. Dans le salon, j'ai 1 playbar, 1 sub et 2 play 1. En mode cinéma je n'ai pas de problème, par contre lorsque j'écoute de la musique dans le salon, le son se coupe pendant quelques secondes et revient. J'ai tout essayé, changer de box, brancher tous les éléments en câble rj45, j'ai toujours le problème. J'ai lu sur certains forums que d'autres utilisateurs ont le même problème et qu'il s'agirait d'un beug depuis une mise à jour.Je commence a désespérer. Qui pourrait m'aider ?Merci. 

Our new home came with a Sonos system in the media room, which we love. We decided to go all in with the Sonos ecosystem and have bought several new products for our entire home since February of this year. The request/complaint is, why can’t we save the volume for these specific groups, or at least remember the last volume setting!? This is quite surprising, to put it mildly. Sonos does so many things well, and this feels like it should be a basic function for such a premium (cost and quality) sound system/ecosystem.I know I’m not the only one who feels this way!! 

I have recently added a wiim ultra to my ecosystem. My use case is two fold; firstly I use it as a headphone amp for Spotify, my NAS library and my turntable, because Sonos inexplicably has no option to integrate headphones (even the ones they make)Second, for aforementioned turntable I use the wiim ultra to cast a flac stream via DLNA to my Sonos set up.It works great, I chose a target speaker in the Wiim app for the stream and then group the additional speakers.Except when I change the volume on the wiim it only affects the linked speakers, not the group. This means I have to use the Sonos app to control the group volume. Annoying I have spoken to Sonos support who didn't really want to discuss as they state this "is not a recommended set up" (despite the fact they have no alternative recommendation for my use case(s)).I have logged a feature request but thought I'd check here if I'm missing something or anyone has found a workaround...

When I open the Sonos S2 controller on ios (latest version, on iPhone16), it takes over a minute to find the speakers on my system. Quite often it then says it can’t connect when I attempt to select a different speaker. This problem started after the latest update to the controller app. It is not a network problem. If I open the controller on my Macbook, the speakers appear immediately and can be controlled as expected. Looks like this might be another example of Sonos breaking the app. Very frustrating. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and found a solution?
