LG C9 will not set up with Beam 2

Long shot but any help welcome. I plugged my new Beam into my LG C9 HDMI 2 port, flipped the option for EARC in TV settings, hit the button to set up my TV in the Sonos app… and immediately got the HDMI ARC not detected screen. After a lot of googling I disconnected all other inputs, power cycled the TV and Beam, played with turning eARC off and basically everything any AI Overview or forum post suggests. Anyone got anything to suggest beyond setting to fire to both devices? I naively thought this should be easy

I would suggest you call Sonos Support to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Did you enable CEC (called Simplink on LG TV’s)?  Without enabling CEC, the eARC port is useless.
