Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

The new Sonos app installed on 5/08/24 is absolute garbage.  Garbage defined:1 - when the app launches it is unable to connect to the home system I've been running for 9 years.2 - to connect to the existing home system, I'm forced to logout, login 2x to actually connect.3 - rebooting the Sonos home system doesn't resolve the above.4 - reinstalling the Sonos app does not change the experience above I'm working from a Pixel 8 Pro for any pixel users out there.Sonos engineering team:  you are slippin.  Get your * together.Yours underwhelmed*Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*

I have tried all there solutions to try to get the Android app to connect to Sonos Era 300. Nothing works. The suggestion to use a different phone or device is totally stupid. I want to use my phone to connect to the speaker. Anyone have any suggestions?

Playing Artist/top tracks... Have to play one by one. What happened to the options play the list or random play?

I have a Sonos Arc and 2 Sonos Ones as Surrounds connected to my living Room TV, I  also have a Sonos Beam 2 connected to my bedroom TV, the app has removed all these speakers connected to TVs. They still work with the TVs they're connected to but I can't see them in the app anymore. I've tried to add them back but the app can't see them. How do I fix this?

It’s good to see some of the features returning after the problems that arose from the recent app update and I’ve now managed to reconnect my music library, but seem to have a problem when trying to browse songs in my Library (and the ability to search the Music Library hasn't yet returned).  I can browse the full Library ok by Artists, Albums, Composers and Genres, but when browsing Songs the list stops after the first 100 songs (listed alphabetically).  Artists, Albums, Composers and Genres all display the full listing ok and I can see all songs (thousands) ok when browsing using the Mac Controller, so this is problems is specific to the iOS app (80.3).  Does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix it?

I am using S1 due to equipment limitations that preclude an upgrade.  When i try to play either of these two podcasts, and certain others, I get the response “cannot play the podcast xxxxx, the connection to pocketcasts was lost”. But he fact is, the connection is not lost.  When i select other podcasts on Pocketcast, they play just fine.  Sonos tech support gave me the standard blurb - Unsubscribe and then resubscribe.  This of course doesn’t work.  Sonos then states that its something on pocketcasts end, and they can be of no further assistance.  I must take up the problem with Pocketcasts.   I’ve refused to do the digital run around for 8 hrs ., only to find that i’ve wasted 8 hrs of my life;  Mainly for the fact that I have a real life with lots of other obligations, i just want to listen to the podcast!!  Has anyone else had this problem?My overall impression with Sonos is that it is very flimsy platform.  It seems to actively seek out reasons to not do what you ask of it.  Althou

This new app has rendered my six speaker system completely useless.  I’ve rebooted, reinstalled, unplugged so many times I just want to throw it all away.  How can a company be this careless with their customers?  Never again.  

I have an old Sonos play 5, not used for a couple of years. Lady time it worked with a 3.5mm cake plugged in.  Now it asked to update the software, and I tried after a factory reset, with an Ethernet cable plugged in.  Sonos mobile app can see the device and suggests I update it. I try to, but it says Error 1002. Light flashes green green when power restored. Help!

So it seems you can't play your Sonos playlist to your Sonos Ace headphones!!!!! WTF!!!!!As a work around would it be possible to play the playlist out of an Arc and use TV Audio swap to transfer the output to the headphones? If so would I be able to use the sonos app to select a different track from the playlist etc as I would if playing to a normal sonos speaker? Also what is the range like for TV Audio Swap, how close do the headphones need to be to the Arc?

re New App.Not only does the equaliser NOT WORK I have lost all the midrange sounds PLEASE HELP!This is not what I expect from SONOS please reinstate the old App and give us our lives and our MUSIC back.

Hi,I have created a custom music service for my Sonos system (via http://urlofsonoscomponent:1400/customsd.htm) to have access to a service that does not provide its own app yet. The service is still listed and accessible with the old desktop app (MacOs) but not with the new app on my phone (Android). Is this something that will also be added back in to the app like local library access?

My Deezer sub menu is not opening within the Sonos app. I have uninstalled both Deezer and Sonos: it continues to tell me “something went wrong. Try again “. Other services are working, as is the stand alone Deezer app. This is just the latest problem since the Sonos app was up(down)graded ! Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello -- I’ve got a Sonos system with a port, a playbar, and 4 individual Sonos speakers.  The port is connected to a receiver so I can play Sonos content over speakers, and also to a CD player.  The playbar is connected to the t.v., and I can play t.v. audio through both the playbar and the speakers if I choose.I’ve got a 2nd receiver, and a 2nd pair of speakers I’ll be setting up in another room.  Is there any way for me to connect this 2nd group to my overall Sonos system?cheers, Cheryl

Who on earth comes up with the brilliant idea to develop such a poorly managed iOS app... Why should everything always be new, be changed due to marketing ideas, be worse? What a pity!One detail: Where is the alarm clock function to be found in the iOS app?(a user of the first SONOS hour...)

I am trying to get my Sonos Beam (gen 1) to show as connected on my Sonos App so I can complete its setup.On the App I get as far as the Beam showing and sounding and then when the App screen changes it does not show at all (as part pf a system) and so I cannot do the sound setup.  I have re-booted, restored factory settings, tried another mobile, used Ethernet cable connection instead of WIFI, etc. but no joy.The Beam is connected via HDMI to a smart LG TV and works, but I cannot set it up for the room acoustics, etc. Please can you help?  

My partner and I just moved into a new house, and I have been trying to set up a new sonos system using our two old Play:1 speakers, but I cant seem to get them registered so we can use them. Ill try to explain what part of the setup that causes problems.I resetted both speakers by plugging them in while holding down the on/off and + buttons similtanously, and the indicatorlight changed color from white to orange to green as it should.Afterwards I logged on the app to set up the speakers. My phone can find both speakers and the serial numbers match the ones I find in the app. During the setup both speakers was updated. The speakers both connect to a temporary network, that I can also see on my phone and connect to.However, when the setup proces tells me to register the product there is a problem. First it tells me to place my phone near the speaker, so the microphone can record a soundsignal from the speakers, but no signal is playing. After that step fails twice, the app says somethin

Why does the Works with Sonos capability for my Receivers require that my Sonos Port has to be on Wi-Fi only vs Ethernet?  If the Port is plugged into Ethernet on the same network/subnet (i.e. into switches that are going to the same router as the WiFi signal but hardwired instead of on wi-fi) My Pioneer and Onkyo receivers - both of which have Works with Sonos capability - don’t find the Sonos Port.   The feature only seems to work if i unplug the hardwire and let the Port connect via WiFi only.  Mind you regardless of ethernet or wifi the Ports are getting a 192.168.0.xxx address - so it shouldn’t make a difference unless the Works with Sonos is dependent on some WiFi-Direct or AirPlay style capability.  I would ideally like to run my Sonos Ports off their ethernet connection but this dependency prevents that.  Feels like a bug in the implementation.

I have a small house with many devices, normal listening does not need to go up over 10. I wish the lower volumes were more spaced out so I don’t have to do mini micro adjustments on my screen. 5xOne, 1xPlaybar, 1xBass, 1xRoam

When I take my move to to work and play music using Bluetooth it keeps cutting off while playing they’re small but consistent cuts. I already troubleshoot it to the best of my ability but the issue remains. Customer support told me to connect it to WiFi at work but I can’t because there is only the guest WiFi which doesn’t allow the speaker to connect to the app. Does anyone have any suggestions about it or has encounter the same issue

Hi. I don’t use my surround sound much as I’m away with work. Since installing the new app I can’t seem to get anything to work. I can’t connect my 2 Sonos one SL and sub to my arc. The arc is plugged into to tv works fine but nothing else is connected can anyone help???

Environment:  Android phoneWhat I do is, I go to Music Library, then Folders, then select the folder with the music I want to listen to.Folders with music in are, my music, wife’s music, Christmas music, etc.When I select the folder I want, there used to be a “Random/Shuffle” button I could select to randomize play through all artists in the folder.It is gone!!!However there is a “Random/Shuffle” button in individual artist folders.  REALLY???  WHY???That was always there but never made sense to me why you would want to randomize play for an individual artists songs. Does SONOS ever respond to posts ?If so, Please put it back!Is there a way to install previous version ?Now I have to go to my PC (it hasn’t been screwed up, yet.) to play my music.Now the phone app is kind of useless, for me anyway.

Hello everyone hope you are doing well , I just started my journey into Sonos and i chose to start with ikea symfonisk book shelf gen2 however It wasn't my lucky day :/ since I bought it 4 days ago and all the trouble to set up with the new app however I was happy and jump when I saw today app release and end up adding the device however at the end it ask for update and showing error 1002 and wont show any device in the system i had used several phones android ipad iphone also tried another email account  all unfortunately not working  please shear your thoughts and even any have smiler issue after the app update todayios 80.01.10

So basically on the 10th June I was emailed to say they had received my speaker back and I would get a refund within 15 working days.I contacted Sonos just to double check and was told they couldn’t find my original payment of the order. I was asked to prove that I made the order, my bank statement, delivery notes and payment transactions ID from the bank. Basically they asked me for everything regarding my purchase with Sonos.They apologised saying due to system issues they couldn’t find the payment. Eventually they confirmed that I did actually pay for the item but due to further system issues they couldn’t refund to my debit card which was my original payment method. They said they could refund me via bank transfer but this comes from Luxembourg. I told them my bank, Chase UK, doesn’t accept international payments and they confirmed they understood this and ask for my bank details. I then find out they attempted to send it via international transfer. Now I have to wait for finance t
