Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I only noticed this after updating the Sonos iOS app, but it could have been a problem prior to the update. The microphone for Beam and One are disabled by default, and i lost the ability to turn it back on. I understand that speakers setup as surround speaker pairs will need to have their microphones turned off. But I don’t know what’s causing Beam to lose its microphone as well. No wonder I’m not able to add Sonos Voice Control to Beam! Another thing I noticed is that Network is shown as “Unavailable” for my One and One SL, which were setup as a surround speaker pair.  My questions are:What’s causing the microphone to disable on my Beam and is there a fix for that?  What’s causing the network for my surround speakers to show as “Unavailable”? Is it a problem, and if it is, is there a fix for that as well?Surround sound seems to still work. An alarm I saved that worked yesterday is shown today as “not available” and did not work.  Why is this?

I am experiencing problems with a large part of my Sonos system since yesterday. The issue is that both the Sonos Beam Gen 2 with Sub and the Sonos Ray have stopped working. They disappeared from the system, meaning they went offline, and are not responding. I have tried to add them back, factory reset them, and delete the entire Sonos system before adding them again. When I re-add them, Ray came online again but disappeared after a few hours. The only speaker that is still online is Era 100, which works as normal. All the products are about half a year old. I can also add that they have a good signal strength from the router, so that shouldn't be the problem. I have also tried connecting the Beam with an Ethernet cable, but that didn't work either. Has anyone experienced the same, and what is the solution?

I have a 4 speaker system which the latest update has rendered virtually unusable.Group volume control is useless, every time the app is opened I get the unable to connect message and when I try to connect to existing system it says no products can be found!When it does eventually find the system (can take up to 3 minutes), it can drop out at any minute.Why the app can't just be rolled back to a previous version is beyond me, at least that actually worked.I've read Mr Spence's email apologising on behalf of the 'Team' but as this debacle is now into its 4th month with zero improvement, all I want to here from him now is he's done the decent thing and resigned. 

Since the latest Sonos app update my Roam has connection issues. It shows in the app as an available speaker but an error message pops up “Unable to connect. Try again later”.All other speakers connect and play, except the Roam. 

I upgraded from a two year old Netgear router to a brand new Eero six mesh router, significantly improving the Wi-Fi signal in my home. Unfortunately, that upgrade meant I had to spend many hours reconnecting all 21 of my devices to the new router. Some were very easy and some took a while. I was never able to reconnect the Sonos system to the new router by myself. It required an hour long on-hold wait on the phone and two hours with a technician that was very difficult to understand (he was knowledgeable but I could not understand his accent very well and had to ask him to repeat what he was saying many times). In the end my patience won out after we gave up on using the WiFi connection process and hardwired the base station directly to the router, allowing the system to finally function properly. At the end of our interaction, I was under the impression that I would need to leave the system connected directly to the router until a time down the road when the software would allow me t

Hi,Yesterday after turning off the television and nothing else playing, the Beam Gen2 started making crackling sounds. I powered off & on, and immediately the crackling resumed even though nothing was playing. I also noticed there was no LED when powering the Beam on.I left it powered off overnight, and this morning I have tried connecting it again. No LED, no nothing (also no crackling). I have attempted factory reset a couple times, but there is no LED at all when I connect the power.I don't see the speaker in the Airlplay device list, and the Sonos app also is not seeing the Beam anymore.Did it somehow die? Any suggestions what I else could do to fix it?

I have had a Sonos system for several years and it has worked without problems. However, more recently I experience frequent short time loss of the tv sound. It will usually come back automatically after 5-10 secs but sometimes I need to use the tv volume control. Any suggestions to solve this? My Sonos Beam is coupled to my LG tv (LG47LA740V) through a HDMI Arc cable.

I just upgraded from my old Sonos 1. Generation (from maybe 15 years ago?) and bought a couple of Move 2’s and a Move.  Installed the new version of Sonos and everything works EXCEPT when I try to play from Apple Music.  I have authorized Apple Music to play in Sonos.  I see the music I want to play on AM.  I select a song.  It either scrolls step by step through the entire album, playing nothing OR if I select a particular song, it seems to play for about one second and then it stops and the play button shows again.  I used Sonos with Apple Music in the past with my old system, never had this problem.  I tried removing and re-adding AM as a service, still the same useless behavior.  I have no idea how to fix this.  Spotify and Sonos Radio working fine.

Hi, new sonos app was just installed on my android. It is a mess, half of the services won't work, can't find the other half. Design is chaotic. Had my favourite radio stations on top, now they are mixed and hidden somewhere. How do i revert to the old version?

Background: iMac using macOS Sonoma 14.5; Sonos Controller for Mac Version 16.2, Sonos OS S2, Build 79052294; Play 1 Sonos OS S2, Version 16.2 (build 79052294), Hardware Version 1.8.3-1.0There have been a lot of helpful posts for Mac users with work arounds to access their local music library once it disappeared after updating to the new app. Some people had success - others didn't including me. I’ve tried all the suggestions several times with no joy. To date (27 May 2024) I haven’t found anything other than a statement from Sonos that they plan on having this issued resolved by mid-June. Am I missing something?Radley

Hello, I have what seems to be a common complaint, no rear channel sound when playing stereo (not Spatial Audio or Dolby Atmos audio) Here’s two previous questions.  My system is: Apple TV LG OLED screen Sonos ARC Sonos Sub3 2 Sonos Era 100 for the rear channelThe system works wonderfully for movies and Spatial Audio from the Apple TV. When I AirPlay from my iPhone to the Sonos it also works wonderfully, giving me “fake” surround sound on the rear channels.What we want is rear channel sound when playing stereo music from the Apple TV.The surround setting is “Full” not Ambient, turning this on and off doesn’t affect the sound all.Note, following the tip in the first question I can get rear channel music by turning the “TV Level” slider to max. This really isn’t a solution since spatial audio is now wrong, it is just plain stereo sound.Thanks!      

I have an extensive Sonos playlist that I built from my Apple Music Library.  Today, I went to add a track to the playlist, and when i highlight the song, the list of options does not include adding it to the playlist.  How do I get new music on the playlist?

my music keeps going on and off on my speakers but on the sonos app its showing the song playing but there is no sound on any of my 5 speakers… anyone get the same issues? I use it with Apple Music 

Since Friday 6th a new update has been available for the Sonos Arc but it always fails with the error code 30 or 1000I am located in Japan and other customers from Japan seem to experience the same thing for one week without any result.Support is not helpful and I tried everything from other topics and support pageshttps://en.community.sonos.com/topic/show?tid=6897049&fid=229129https://support.sonos.com/article/error-30-when-updating-sonos# I can not update my Sonos Arc, and so I can not link back by surround speakers.Sonos support is terrible and it is a shame that simple thing as updating a device should be seamless. 

Like a lot of people I have not been happy with the new Sonos application. I decided to start downgrading my connect amps to the S1. Upon doing this, I use Apple Music and every tab works fine except playlist. When I go into playlist, they are all there, but all of them are missing their names. Everything is blank on the playlist tab except there are obviously separate playlist.   When I click on one the songs are there, but the name of the playlist is not at the top. The tracks are playing and I can see the name of the tracks. I am unable to to determine the name of the playlist out of many of them.   Is this a problem on my end or is what has become of Apple Music on the s1 application? Thank you. 

Sigh,Is it safe to upgrade the Sonos Controller for Mac?I am using Version 16.1, Sonos S2, Build 78151030 that stills gives me access to editable Queues and local Music Library control. But I fear that any false move will jettison those abilities?Would it be asking too much to ask for a list of changes you will be implementing on each successive Update now that we have had a taste of your surprises?Thanks,David

The new app is sluggish, screens are slow to update and it is kludgy with music site interaction. And the interface is not user friendly.  I really hope this is being fixed! This has been a very disappointing downgrade! 

If the Sonos app is open then the main volume of the iphone itself won’t mute.  Force quitting the Sonos app makes the phone volume mute work correctly again. It seems that when the Sonos app is open it’s running almost constantly in the background, eating up the phone battery and getting in the way of the phone volume control, but what’s it doing? I have all the permissions settings for the Sonos app off except local network access - no Bluetooth, background app refresh, location, notifications, microphone, Siri, nothing. The app and speakers are all up to date.  Are there any other settings I should look at if the problem could be my phone? If it’s another new app glitch I’ll just keep force quitting it every time I open it and keep waiting for Sonos to fix it like the other ongoing app things.

My Play 3 lost power last night and won’t connect to the network. I’ve-rebooted the router and the pc-uninstalled and reinstalled the s2 controller-the app shows the Play 3 “Not connected”, but is still visible in the system-I get a flashing orange led when i press the “Pause” button 

So after this horrible update the artist list stops at J alphabetically? Anyone else use this and have this experience? Reaching the end of the line with Sonos 

SiriusXM message “Something went wrong.  Try again.” Have deleted, reinstalled and reauthorized app.  Have multiple Sonos systems and only have this issue at one location.  I get all the way to the channel and then try to hit the play arrow and this is the message I get. 

Your app is not only very bad in terms of functionality (disappeared functionalities, bugs everywhere..) But also a technical disaster.. Got now my battery drained and warning from my phone.. Have you really tested something before release?
