Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Well our Play 3 speaker is dead!!!!  Troubleshooted with Sonos and they stated yes indeed the speakeris dead!  Unbelievable!  Thought I was buying a good quality product that would last and last.  Speaker is7 yrs old and well taken care of.   Instead it is junk.  Only recourse Sonos would do for me is have me send the old speaker back and give me a 30% discount for a new product.  I am not sure if I will do that or wait for our other two speakers to die and go with another brand!!!Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct. 

Hi,Sorry if this is answered elsewhere.  This is my first post.  I am really struggling with the app.I have added a speaker to the system but when the app said it was added, I cannot see it in the system.  I just want to add it to a room as an individual speaker but I cannot find it on the app.  Any help would be great.Last question - I have a bunch of speakers in one group.  I want to use one of the speakers by itself.  Similar problem to the above - I cannot choose (or see) the individual speakers of each group in order to select them for a new group.  For example, if I take one of the speakers from the existing room / group and put them in another room, it is still in the same old group (because I cannot see the speaker to ungroup it or add it to another room).It is not obvious on the app how I do this.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank youCameron 

Hi everyone, My Sonos investment is 2 X Play 5 gen 2, 4 X Era 100, 1 X Sub gen 2, 1 Beam (not sure gen 1 or 2) and one Move 1.Just moving into new place an looking to get some advice re. setting up for surround sound. TV will be wall mounted LG Oled 77” with Dobly Atmos. Room is 5.6m metres X 5.8 metres and good acoustics.Considering what I have already, what would be my best option? Am happy to utilise current Sonos gear elsewherea round the house if none of it is suitable.Can buy more gear if needed. Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone, I just got gifted a Beolab 8 (Bang and Olufsen) and plan to buy a Sonos multirom system.I would liek to use the beolab 8 for the TV and connect it to the Sonos multi room system.I have two questions, please be kind my technical knowledge in sound system is limited : How do I connect the beolab 8 to Sonos ? From my understanding, to connect an other loudspeaker to the Sonos system I need to connect it to the Sonos port device using RCA cables. What I don’t manage to understand if this is the only right method and if beolab 8 has an RCA input (input or output I’m not sure what’s the right one) How do I connect the beolab to a TV ? I’m not sure but seems like I need to connect a beoconnect core device to the TV using HDMI ARC cable and then either connect beolab 8 to the beoconnect core with a cable or using wifi if the beoconnect core is connected to a wiza device.  Please connerct me if any of my sta

Hello, Hello, I am having a problem with Bel RTL radio and 2 streaming applications.  Impossible to listen to Bel RTL via SONOS and with the RADIOPLAYER application.  However, if I listen to it directly via the iPhone the station starts immediately without any problem.  With the second MyTuner Pro application, it works but I have to try it several times. I also have to listen to another channel first and then select BelRtl. Hi, I use Era300 for music and Beam for movies. Today I added a Sub Mini to the Beam and I'm wondering if there is a way to connect and pair the Sub Mini to the Beam and Era300 at the same time - all three devices are in the same room. Switching the sub connections in the settings every time is frustrating. Thank you :-)

I bought this OneSL one year ago and it always worked well. But suddenly there is this crackling and static noise. I tried to reset it, plug it somewhere else, but the noise is still there.what can I do?

Again in respect to the new app and the lack of support for local music libraries, has anyone noticed that albums are no longer sorted by Album Artist but by the Contributing Artists?In my view, this means instead of having the single album of various artists, all songs are listed individually. How Sonos could stuff this up so badly beggars belief.

Not sure what happened but it take way to long to finally Develop a connection with Bluetooth to my home system been a couple years. It has never been this difficult. Are usually try to connect to Apple Music on my phone.anyone else experience issues like this?

This is a new thread on a topic that was previously marked as ANSWERED but for the life of me I couldn’t find it!My iPhone app happily connects to my SONOS system, as does my MacBook app. However, my wife’s iPhone could not find our SONOS system on the app from her phone. I did all the recommended actions   like rebooting the network etc. to no avail. None of the iPhone settings like private relay, blue tooth connectivity, LAN connection came into play. Our two phones are configured the same way! I even removed the app and reloaded it without success. In the end, I removed the app from her phone once again and power-cycled the phone. Then I reloaded the SONOS app and it worked. I could speculate on why this worked but I would just be guessing.If this works for you, I’m glad I could help.

Hello everyone,My apologies for resurfacing this old topic. I have been without my Sonos play 1 for over 3 months since moving over to community fibre and having their Linksys MX5600 Series. I have tried everything including splitting my wifi channels for 2.4ghz and 5ghz, i kept one open (no wifi pass) for an hour to see if it was that and it still wouldnt accept the network. Currently it works via wired method but I cant update the network settings for it to connect. But this is borrowing the ethernet cable for the TV, Which is needed. If anyone has any advice as im tempted to sell on and move onto another system that properly works.

I’ve changed my Internet provider and I can’t reconnect Sonos One to the new one. I am using Sonos app on my Android phone, it finds my device but when I enter my network password i shows me: ‘There was a problem connecting your Sonos One to “” ‘ and that’s it. My network is 2.4 GHz, I’ve split 5G and 2G band as recommended, using WPA2 personal mixed.The router model is Linksys WHW03 V2. I’ve managed to reconnect all other devices without any problem, the problem is only with Sonos One.

I have a Beam G2 new in the box.The primary use is as a soundbar generally, and specifically to take advantage of the Atmos output of my LG TV.Can a new user survive the current app and enjoy the speaker? I am at a complete loss here — even after spending an hour and a half with Sonos customer service today, I haven’t been able to find a solution.I wasn’t able to reauthorize Apple Music, so I removed the service to add it back that way but have been unable to do so even after:resetting internet (including custom DNS per Sonos rep)  resetting Sonos system trying on different devices deleting, resetting appAny ideas on things to try? I’m able to add other services (added, removed, re-added Spotify and Amazon Music), but every time I try to do Apple Music I get a “Something went wrong: Check your internet connection and try again.”If it helps, I have a system with: Era 300, Roam, Amp, Frame, Bookshelf and Play:3

Hello all,I have a house full of Sonos Play 3s and a Sonos 5 speaker that were old on my IOT WiFi network.  I wanted to move them back to my non-IOT WiFi network, which proved impossible using the normal “update your network” workflow through the app.  I got frustrated and factory reset every single speaker and connected them to my non-IOT network one by one.  Well, three days later and half the speakers migrated back to the old IOT network, and some didn’t.  I see both networks listed again in the app, and even when I try to delete the old network, it reappears about 10 seconds later.  Any ideas on how to fix this once and for all, I’ve wasted enough time trying to fix this and am tiring of constantly having to be patient with this system.Thanks in advance.

When streaming music at advanced volume levels the output level drops in sympathy with sibilant sounds, similar to severe compression. The effect isn't apparent on any other Sonos speaker in my system.

Trying to get the app to find my Play 1s after I changed the router.   Successfully reset it to factory settings and set it up with one connected to router and the other on the same wifi channel. Linked as a stereo.  System found the registration etc.  All good until I unplugged and moved to my living room.  Now app can’t find the products. 

This happens on my Move 2 pair and Era 300 from all music sources including local library.  Move 2 resets if placed on charger momentarily. Barry is at 99% btw. On eras the non working speaker has to be power cycled.  Diagnostic **Moderator Note: Diagnostic removed for privacy*

The audio coming from my Sonos port is delayed compared to the rest of my Sonos speakers. Is there a way to sync it?

Hi, a few questions.Since last update all my library album cover won’t show up anymore. On phone nor on windows.Why can't I use SONOS for my library when the internet is down? Everything (NAS etc. )is connected to the home WiFi. For such as expensive system that should be possible..Thanks
