Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I’m having trouble finding a clear answer on this. I have a Sonos Arc, two Ones, and a Sub Mini configured together in a HT setup. My goal is to not use SonosNet and to have each device on wifi. To do this, I disconnected my Arc from being hardwired to ethernet. It is now on Wifi, on a 2.4GHz radio. The system seems to work fine, but oddly I dont see the Ones or the Sub Mini on my router’s client list.I also tried to keep the Arc connected hardwired to ethernet and “disable wifi” but I believe that killed the grouping. What’s the correct way to do this also the way to confirm it? Having the Arc stuck on 2.4ghz plus no other wifi clients makes me think its on SonosNet. I see the network type info is no longer in the app..Thanks!

 After the latest update 80.09.05 I still only get 100 tracks to load into the queue when starting a playlist I created in Amazon Music.  Other services are not suffering the same restriction.

Hello everyone,I currently use the Sonos Port connected to my TV via a Toslink fiber link (with an RCA/Fibre converter) and it allows me to hear the TV sound on every speaker in my house (3x One SL and 2x ERA 100).I plan to purchase the Sonos ARC and connect it to my TV via an HDMI ARC/eARC link, and no longer use the Sonos Port.I would like to know if the SONOS ARC also allows the sound of the TV to be played on all speakers ?(not only those configured in home theatre).Thank.G.

Running the old S1 app was thinking of moving to the S2 app which now seems to have been replaced with a cloud based app (which seems to have issues hopefully Sonos will sort that soon)but my main question is if this new app is cloud based what happens if your internet goes down or the Sonos server stops working would the app still be able to connect to your local library?

Hi all - I just purchased a Move and pleased with the sound, but what I’m not too pleased about is the fact that it appears that I cannot control the volume of the Move when I play anything using the Sonos app. If I connect the phone to the Move with bluetooth I can indeed control the volume. Is it just me, or does anyone else have the issue that they can’t control the volume when using the IOS Sonos app? Appreciate any inputs as it’s very frustrating.

I have a Sonos Amp (hardwired to the network) remotely located in a closet, I am trying to pair a Sonos Sub (on the WiFi).  It is on the other side of the home so the sub loses connection to the amp.  I can move the sub closer to the middle of the home and the sub responds when the music is on, but this is useless for the application.  Tech support tells me its due to the "Sonos Net" not reaching the sub from the amp.  Has anyone figured out how to extend the "Sonos Net" signal?

So I’ve had Sonos for almost 10 years. My Playbar and Sub has been running all that time with zero issues. I might have gad to connect my Sub once or twice in all that time. Playbar is still running perfectly today. In December last year I decided to treat myself and finally get those One SL’s as surround sound (late to the party). It was great for the first 2 months.Then all of the sudden they started acting up. They disconnected. One connected the other one didn’t. Then they worked. I had to reboot router several times a week and restart my speakers and do the reconnect. I struggled with that for a month. Then suddenly one of the speakers just didn’t want to connect anymore. I spent two days with support and they finally decided to send me a new one. They messed with my network (which wasn’t an issue before and never has been) and the new speaker came and everything got connected and it worked. Sort of. It never runs smoothly. Sonos 5 is gone from Airplay listing on my iPad Air. No new router, no new password, no software updates on iOS, no device moved around, no new devices added to the network. Turn router on and off; did that. Unplug devices: did that. Tried to reset the speaker with the old and the new Sonos app, but one can't find any devices and the other keeps saying there's no internet. So the Sonos is stuck blinking green and I can't get anything to see it. This setup has been working perfectly for several years until yesterday. 

As a long standing user of your speaker and app system, please could you answer the following which I’ve found to be really frustrating since you made the last update. When I now search for a song or album I cannot then add this song to my existing playlists which is something I used to be able to do very easily! This is rather annoying! 

Play 1 Sonos No Power. My speaker has gotten very little use over the past several years. 2 months ago speaker stopped working all together. I tried ordering a new power cord and no such luck. Has anyone had this issue?

Hello,I have a plex server with 2 music libraries (1 for music, the other for audio books), and when I connect my plex to sonos, it automatically selects the audiobook library (but I want to connect the music library..). According to a plex article you can switch the selected library by selecting „other sources“. When I click on this, I only get an error message (see screenshots). I‘d appreciate If someone could help me with this.sonos system:sonos arc + sub gen3 + 2x era 300  

I have a Sonos one SL individual speaker plugged into ethernet and I am unable to update the network in this new speaker that I got for eBay. Sonos says trade out the router with Spectrum, but it has been updated to the latest firmware that is supposed to fix the problem.

Spotify not listed as a Content Provider to add. Why is that? Also, from Spotify App when selecting a Sonos Speaker, nothing actually plays. Using Apple Music works flawlessly. Why?

I just upgraded to the new Sonos App and the dual mono setting for the two Amps I run is missing.  I used this setting for single ceiling speakers in different rooms.  This has to be brought back, I can’t have the right channel playing in one room and the left in another.

I haven’t used my System in a wile, and tried ti listen today, and it is not working. My system is comprised of2 Play 5’s <Gen 1>1 Play 31 Sub <gen 2>1 Zone Bridge Gen 2>All of the components light up, but not the Zone Bridge.The only thing that has changed is the Router, which was swapped out last year, so I assume that is the problem I need fixed. If some can give my instructions on how to access my router, and fix this problem, I would be appreciated .

After recent updates, my neighbor is experiencing the issue Error Code 1002 now when attempting to add his Music Library- not the standard 913.  I have tried everything to resolve- checked firewall settings, etc., followed instructions to create the NAS folder that Salami Slices provided months ago.  My library works fine thankfully.  We both purchased new Mac and running Sonoma 14.6.1- when we switched to the new Mac’s, library would not play (access denied).  Added Music Folder back with Read/Write in File Sharing, SMB is “On” but his error code switched to 1002.  Mine worked fine.I read the threads on here but has anyone had any luck resolving the error?

I am having trouble getting the surround songs to work.  I had to reset all the speakers, they are now connected as a ‘system’ but only sound comes out of the Arc. The tv is set up as dolby as are the apps, doesn't matter what tv channel or programme I watch,  no sound.  I have reset the speakers about 5 times - it seems to be since I got a new router. I've also had to set the router up as 2.4GHz to actually get them all to connect.  Any ideas?

I used to have fixed output level on my Sonos  Connect but cannot find that setting anymore after the recent updates. I want to check if it still is available, even if I cannot find it, or if my conclusion that the option has been removed is correct?

Does anyone know to connect to Toronto jazz.fm91   ? tunein radio doesn’t seem to have it, despite what the station website says. Mytuner radio has it but it won’t play in the new sonos app for iPhone.  Thanks

Apple music skips and stops playing. All other services work fine.

With the new iPad os 18 my idle/sleep battery usage seems to be higher than it was under 17. Yes, I should know better and wait until a couple of point releases before upgrading 😂When looking at what was using battery and screen time I came across this unexpected entry. “Sonos S1 Controller”What is very unexpected is I don’t have the Sonos S1 Controller installed and never had, so is this the normal and a bug with the Sonos app misreporting itself to the iPad os?More curious is why is the Sonos app I haven’t run or opened since upgrading is reporting screen time usage daily with over 2 ½ hours of screen time this week? 

I followed the instructions by starflyergold and thecaretakerUK to get custom URLs into the new Sonos app. Playback works for a couple of minutes, with occasional short skips, but after about 10 minutes the playback stops intermittently for a half-second or so. I don’t know whether it has to do with buffering, playback speed or the skipping. Did anyone encounter the same problem? I realized this on my Sonos Roam, and several Sonos-IKEA speakers. Looking for a way to stream replay’s of BBC radio shows like Gilles, Benji, etc. through the Sonos app experience. I have been leveraging Airplay 2 for this, but has intermittent drops.Ideally, we’d be able to add log into our https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds account and replay all our saved radio shows via an in-app Sonos experience.Thank you for reviewing my request and love Sonos. PS - I appreciate the new in-app experience and the acknowledgement / transparency with which Sonos has handled the changes. Since it seems impossible to contact any support rep I will try this since it is the only option. I doubt if it will help.OK I don’t know why I should expect SONOS “Support” to work better than this horrendous release but it seems impossible to schedule 2nd level support with the link in the email I was sent.   As unusable as most of SONOS after the recent “Upgrade”Link leads to a bizarre page with no ability to select the day for a session and a list of incomprehensible times around the world.  WTF???This after wasting 2 hours last week in an unsuccessful attempt to restore access the the digitized music on my laptop that had been easily setup and used prior to the last “upgrade”How do you guys stay in business? 

Auto play for the line in of my Port is back in the app again. That’s great, and it seems to work. However it is not working as it should be. At least not how it worked before.It works all just fine when I played my music (with Spotify) and later (Spotify is paused/stopped playing) I turn on my tv which is connected to the line in port. Then the Port automatically starts playing the line in and changes the volume to the preset value.But now I have changed the Line in volume while watching tv. I stopped watching and after a while my Port auto pauses the line in. Great. But now, when later I start watching tv again, the Port only resumes playing the Line in and leaves the volume untouched. Why is that? Why isn’t the volume changed to the preferred setting for auto play?
