Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I use my iPhone Roku remote to control my Roku tv. All the features work on the regular remote. I downloaded the Roku app on my iPhone and use that remote also. The volume control does not work on the iPhone remote. I guess there is a compatibility issue. Is there a fix?

Unexpected sound failures on one or two Sonos SL of my larger system occur more n more often

HelloFor those of you who purchased the Sonos Ace Headphones I hope you’re enjoying them as much as I am 😊! To be totally honest I do have one nic-pic…and that is Color options. I was hoping Sonos would offer the Ace in different colors similar to those of the Roam/Roam 2. Although “Sunset” (the color on far right) may be a bit overboard for the Ace. Or at least offer the latest color available for the Move 2…Well, that didn’t happen upon this initial release of the Ace. We got the (IMO) the generic “cookie cutter” Black and Soft White. 😓However, if Sonos follows trend as it has with its other portable products (i.e. Roam and Move) we may see additional colors later with this initial Ace release; or in an Ace 2 release (if that comes to be).To be clear I have no knowledge of an Ace 2 being in the Sonos pipeline; so don’t’ go starting rumors of such in the community. 😈 😕Moving on… I do have a couple of suggestions/ideas that may be to your liking. I am frustrated beyond belief with my Sonos system. I have 20 Sonos devices that do not work and haven’t in several weeks. I’ve invested a lot of money in the system but it is functionally worthless. My wireless router is a mesh network with five satellites covering a 4000 square-foot house. Download speeds are more than sufficient to run the network. I have gone through the tedious  process of unplugging every speaker, every router, every amp and rebooting the modem, the routers and each Sonos devices to no avail. It still does not work. I come from the tech industry and understand when a software update isn’t done correctly and causes bugs. I have patience and am willing to give the company a chance to fix it, but it has been way too long with no fix. I am at the point where I’m gonna give one last Hail Mary pass with tech-support and if they can’t get it running, I’m gonna sell all of it and move to another system. I didn’t buy Sonos to be a part-time job trying to make it work. Is

I have a hearing problem that I wear Hearing Aids for.Does anyone know if/how I can configure my LG OLED Smart TV connected to a SONOS Beam, Subbase Woofer and a Pair of Play 1, configured for surround sound, so that the audio can be listened to on a Pair of SONOS Ace Headphones, and simultaneously by the rest of the family who are also listening on the SONOS Surround?Danny

Where does the SONOS queue live?  I don’t think it is in the app (on device).  Does it live on a SONOS server, or locally in the speaker(s)?  This has been bugging me for a while.  Just curious.

After the update earlier this year, I couldn't connect my 2 Play:1 speakers to my home theater system. Only the Playbar works. I tried resetting to factory default and setting up as new, nothing will work. Any suggestions? 

Everything about Sonos now is utter rubbish. even signing into this it said my password was wrong so when i reset it I used one that I thought worked and it said that I cant use a current one..aaargh. Sonos cant even get that right.Went to listen to BBC radio 6 music this morning...forget it, still waiting….all kinds of unhelpful things appearing on my phone app. If anyone from sonos is reading this then you need to know, that unless you sort out these problems FAST your business will go bankrupt. Nobody I know who used sonos can now be bothered with it. It just does not work...station selection, volume controls, rooms dropping out...I could go on and on. Restaurants who are big users of these system, are abandoning it in droves. SONOS SORT IT!!!! You don’t have much time. 

Seems the Sonos Favorites links on the home page of the app is greyed out and doesn’t actually play them if pressed.  ps, you can delete and add them again, same issue greyed out and not useable. 

I have three speakers  - two Sonos one SL and one with Alexa. Over the last weeks the app on my Android keeps failing to open. I've had to use  play Sonos  on my laptop to access my system. But it's not convenient dragging laptop round house! Any others facing this problem? 

The New app doesnt seem to support Pinguin Radio, the main radio station (some "daughter" stations like Pinguin Classic are supported). This must be a mistake.  Could Sonos please add Pinguin Radio?

I’m able to go through the process of setting an alarm, but when I save it and navigate away then return back to the alarms section to check it’s still there, it’s gone!  I’m on the latest software update.  Seems not everyone has this problem.  My partner is able to set alarms on their own separate system in their house, but I can’t on my system and they are identical set ups.   is there a fix / any word on why / when this willbe sorted?

How can I play my CDs through my play 1s from a intigrated amp CD player without WiFi or blue tooth 

Führt wahrscheinlich zu nichts?Funktioniert das denn mal? Irgendwann? Man gibt ein Heidengeld für Sonos aus und man ärgert sich nur! Wenn es denn mal läuft hört es ja a schon sehr gut an Erst denkt man es liegt wo anders dran, W lan Einstellungen etc was weiß ich. Anbieter gewechselt, zig Router getauscht und gewechselt. Dann läuft in der Küche die Mikrowelle und Zack Aussetzer. Das WLAN und Mikrowelle sich stören, kann ja passieren. Nach dem Update funktioniert es seltsamerweise. Wahrscheinlich zufällig. Dann möchte man (ich) Stereo hören also 2 von den Dingern. Es läuft Musik und irgendwann fällt Mal ein Kanal aus. Nicht immer derselbe. Oder bei Gruppenbetrieb ist irgend eine oder andere nicht mehr dabei. Wieder dazu holen mit ach und Krach. Hindern sich die Streaming Dienste oder sind die nicht kompatibel. Wenn die Quelle per HDMI zur Arc kommt OK läuft es flüssig. Möchte aber nicht ständig die Glotze dafür anlassen, es sollte ja auch anders gehen, was l irgendwie nicht funktioniert

Recently I am having severe problems with my wifi connection. I am unable to connect to my usual network, which happens to be the one that is used by Sonos. So Sonos won’t launch.Sonos tells me to change the network on my computer to the one that Sonos is tied to. I cannot do this because it is the network that won’t connect. What I need to do is the opposite...to change the wifi network that Sonos is using. How do I do this?Thanks.

I have researched and researched, but nothing matches my situation or I don’t understand enough. I just bought a Bluesound Node thinking it could do what I want, but it doesn’t apparently, so now I am wondering if the Sono Port will allow this.  I love my wired speakers, I have a Rega 3 turntable, I have a decent Marantz receiver with audio out. If I connect the audio out on my receiver to the Port, can I listen to my wired speakers AND also stream the vinyl to my soundbar/Move ...etc via wireless? The Node can not do this and I am still not sure if it could if I had a bluesound wireless speaker, the answers are all over the place. Can the Port “see” my other sonos devices and stream to them wirelessly whatever is playing on my receiver?Thank you!!  

Can anyone help me set up sound in my library. Goal set up is sonos 5 as center and then amp to power third party speakers as left and right. The sonos 5 and amp were purchased at the same time in 2019.Especially on the new app, I am having trouble arranging these things. Somehow they keep ending up as separate rooms. Should I return both to factory reset and start from scratch. I previously had these products in different rooms but never tried to link the amp (and third party speakers) with any other sonos product. Thanks for any help

I downloaded the Sound Phone app for $3.99 from the Apple App Store for iPhone.  $3.99 is small ransom to pay after Sonos has held my equipment and music hostage since their disaster release from early May 2024.  IT WORKS!  Sound Phone instantly recognized my Sonos Amps, speakers, and all of my music sources.  The volume latency issues are resolved.  The app is stable.  Imagine, consistent streaming!  I can’t guarantee it will work for you, but the developer of Sound Phone is a hero to me!

Im new to Sonos. I have Sonos Arc, and Gen 3 sub connected to Sony OLED, via APPLE TV.  They are working wonderfully.  I am tempted to add 2 Era 300s as surrounds.  But I also listen to music often.  I don’t know if software has been updated, or the app has changed or made a process easier so I’m asking again in August 2024. If I add the Era 300s as surround speakers and I stream music, through apple music.  Will the rear surrounds play stereo music automatically?  Or do I need to go into the app and change settings around?   And if I do need to change settings.  What should I do to make the ARC sound bar/Gen3 sub and rear Era300s play together in stereo to really fill the room? Sorry for a possible repetitive question.  Id like to understand a little more before spending a good amount on rear surround speakers.  Thank you

Is the SONOS BEAM Gen2 compatible with SUB Gen1?

I have had my Sonos system for many years. Runs on a wireless/meshed network. NO issues until now.Since updating to the new App the system plays for a while (varying amount of time) and stops. When it stops all grouped speakers are lost from the group. The problem happens every time.The App shows ‘no music’ tied to any speaker. To start the system again I select a service and start it. Only 1 speaker plays. All other speakers must be added to create a group.The amount of time the system plays varies. Shortest is 10 mins. Longest is 5 hours.Sonos support admitted there are App problems and remotely rebooted all speakers saying the ‘error’ should clear. It worked for about 4 hours and died.Is this a common problem due to the new App. Is there a solution now or must I wait for future App updates

My Roam sometimes loses WiFi connectivity in one but not both speakers. Turning the silent speaker off and then back on fixes problem. Will Roam 2 behave similarly or does it have a different WiFi stability?

I have a stereo speaker set made up of 2 x ERA 100 and I find it randomly keeps going out of balance. The right speaker drops in volume to about half of the left speaker.When I subsequently change the speaker volume the balance goes back to the centre again, i.e. the right speaker increases to the same volume of the left.

Is it possible to use two remotes with a Ray, without having to reconfigure every time? I have an Apple TV and a TiVo. I can program both to control the volume on my Ray but I have to reconfigure using the Sonos app every time I switch devices. Is there anyway that it can remember both remotes? Or am I setting it up wrong? TiVo and ATV connected by HDMI to TV. TV connected with optical to Ray.

HiI have 2 x era100 both on ver 16.3.1. I am trying to set them up as a pair but i am just getting an error message to check my network connection.I have rebooted my router, i have reset and added both Era’s into the sonos app but i am still not having any joy.any pointers would be appreciated :)
