For many years i have been able to play music from my desktop PC music library then about a year ago after some updates the music library stopped playing music.

I tried all the normal permission and sharing and setting up new music folders directly on C drive or other remote drives all with permissions correct.

Setting up new music folder works and sync music library works but syncs in about 3 seconds and no music to be seen via the app.

The same music folders and files are syncing without any problems on my work system and plays music through S1 system no problem.

Please advise what i can do to solve this

Many thanks

Mick

Try this.  It’s less complicated and worked well for me on a Windows 10 PC.

Thanks for your advice MoPac, Sonos wireless Hi Fi System already setup and shared and still have the same problem.

Your solution seems to be to fix 913 error.

I don’t have any error messages just no files or folders seen in the app under music library route

If i remove music and add music the sync starts and finishes very quickly just as if it had nothing to sync

More help please

Did you use the path shown in the Music folder’s Properties - Sharing screen?  The path is shown there right under the Share button.

Are you using the Sonos PC app to setup the share?

Good evening Mo Pac,

Yes i used the windows explorer to set up sharing to the Sonos Wireless Hifi System exactly as recommended.  The sharing worked perfectly. I then deleted my music library setup in the sonos Desktop app (OS: S2 Version: 16.4.2 (build 81158074)) and made a new one exactly as the share name.

Still the same problem

syncing works but NO files or folders to be found in the sonos app

Help please

Mick

PS as I have always done even when working i am using Norton Internet Security
